Company scammed my wife out of 650$ of computer parts and components. She ordered 9 items, recieved 1. Box un opened, after contacting new egg, they blew it off for 2 months until we disputed the charge on our credit card. Avoid at all costs. Read reviews. They do this to hundreds and hundreds of people. It's not unheard of, please avoid doung business with them as you'll be left stolen from.

I bought printer ink for my HP Officejet Pro 7740 from Newegg.com, but when I tried to use it the printer rejected it because it does not contain an "HP chip." I do not understand why they are selling these when they are not compatible. The description below, which is directly from the Newegg site says it is compatible as you can see. Now I am out all this money.

Placed an order on NEWEGG, they billed my credit card and without any notice they canceled my order 7 days later. I only found out after I went to my PayPal account and saw it was canceled. I will never buy from them again. They also allow resellers on their site so you never know if the merchandise is legit or new. Buyer beware...

I received a cyberpower PC. I am very pleased with the product, the computer runs very well and is actually in very high percentile's in all the benchmarks that I run. However, new egg has not been good to work with. They delayed my shipment, and with all the problems they've been having, I just thought I'd make a review.

NewEgg should be more careful with their organization. I can only speak for delayed shipping, but that's probably just the tip of the iceberg.

I purchased all the parts you need to build a new computer at Newegg, including a copy of Windows 11. Shipping was timely and the parts themselves arrived without issue, but the copy of Windows 11 I bought did not come with a product key sticker. There is supposed to be a silver sticker on the envelope with the disk that you scratch for the product key, but my envelope did not come with one. I contacted Newegg about this, and finally after a week worth of follow-ups they told me they would not be willing to provide a new product key, as the "consumer is responsible for not damaging the product key attached to the envelope" I tried explaining that I never even received a sticker to "damage", but Newegg stated that based on the photo of the envelope I sent them they couldn't confirm it wasn't fraud.
It seems ridiculous to me that I should somehow be able to prove a negative through a photo demonstrating the absence of a product, but they insisted this is the case. Newegg was also unwilling to reach out to Microsoft to identify the specific product key that I paid for using my purchase information, I tried reaching out to Microsoft directly myself, but they told me that 3rd party purchases need to be handled by the 3rd party. Newegg eventually offered half the amount as store credit, but I declined since I don't intend to shop at Newegg again.
To Potential Consumers: I strongly recommend buying your parts elsewhere, while things might work out fine for you, Newegg has demonstrated that they will take no accountability for their own shipping issues when they do occur. Given the high value of items one typically orders from such a store, buying from them is not worth this risk.
To Newegg: While this may fall on deaf ears, I feel compelled to tell you that this policy is incredibly short sighted. On this order alone, I spent thousands of dollars with your company (which was, until now, my default choice for computer parts). The next time I need to spend hundreds of dollars (if not more) on computer parts, you can guarantee that Newegg will not be seeing any of that revenue, I hope that's worth the $128 you fleeced me for because you rather assume that I'm committing fraud on a single item in a $2,000 purchase than give me the benefit of the doubt, or, better yet, reach out to Microsoft for the exact product key that I paid for (which also would've ensured that fraud was not being committed).

Bought a very expensive Ram, two days later it was discounted, arrived late. (DOA) Ram I tried to contact support = nothing, call = nothing, their support robot = No return available for this order, even for DOA. Useless, paid a lot MORE to get the Ram RMA and ship to Taiwan, still waiting. 3 months now, no product, no support and paying even more. I don't recommend them at all.

I purchased a refurbished ABS Master Gaming PC through the NewEgg website. After four hours of usage some noticeable problems emerged. Turns out memory and drive are faulty (per local PC repair shop) BUT Newegg won't honor return policy because it was sold by "a different vendor." This is shady business practice, so beware both of refurbished machines but also the concealed way in which "outside" vendors sell within NewEgg website.

Now I am stuck with having to fix a damaged PC.

I placed an order for a gaming PC on 12/31 and I received an initial confirmation that the order was placed and should be shipped by 1/4. I never received any further updates or communication from them.
I checked my email on 1/4 hoping to see tracking information and instead I see an email stating that I need to contact them before 4:30PM PT to verify the order or it will be canceled. I made 3 different calls to them and an email before that time to assure the order was verified and not canceled. The first call was to make sure it was not canceled and they stated because the company the laptop was coming from did not process the order and they would reach out to them and callback. I did my own due diligence and called the company "Electronic Express" and they stated they have no record of the order and to reach out to Newegg. I then call back Newegg (call#2) and tell them that. They state they'll put an "urgent" message out to them and call them to get it taken care of and reach back out to me. I also made sure to insist to do the over the phone verification in case. A few hours go by and I hear nothing and it's getting closer to 4:30. I call back again, (call#3) and I speak to another rep who says they still have not heard back from Electronic Express and to which I tell him they don't even have record of the order and the issue seems to lie with Newegg, not electronic express. He still sends me an email with a hyperlink to message Electronic Express who answered immediately by the way and they state again that they have not received anything from Newegg.
The next day I hear nothing from them and I call back and my order was canceled because according to Josh in customer service, the system blocked my account because THEIR verification process did not work at no fault of my own. They stated they'll put another request in to reinstate my account and the laptop price went up but they'll honor the price.
Why make it so difficult to purchase a computer? I paid and authorized the transaction in the first place so what more verification would you need?! The rep did not even attempt to try and put me on hold to see if there was anything further they could do to get the order back going, just told me it was canceled and I would need to repurchase.
Horrible customer service, horrible process and apparently a horrible company. I'll pay more at Micro Center to make sure I get it and reliable customer service but will never purchase from them again.

On 11/1/2023 I ordered an AMD Ryzen 7 5700x. I paid 15$ for overnight shipping as my current cpu has seen the end of its life. When my package was stated it was delivered on 11/2/2023, i was at work all day and very late into the evening so i called my brother to grab the package. To my unfortunate surprise the 200$ processor i had ordered is not there. My address was absolutely correct as i just upgraded my graphics card through newegg which was delivered just fine.
I sent in an email claim to try and get this issue resolved, i really just wanted my processor.
Within 2 minutes the claim was denied and i was instructed to double check the address.
The address of course is correct, at this point i decide to make an attempt to contact a representative for it to prompt me with a notice of live customer support being unavailable...
How in the world would i go about correcting this issue now?
Through newegg, jack. They screwed me.

My husband purchased a new cpu and motherboard, among other items. Basically a new build. Only to be sent a dead motherboard or cpu. The tech company that helped us (at a computer tech)suggest we send both back and get get ones. So on their advice, that's what he did. Newegg received the broken parts and said to us. We will refund your money and you can purchase again. That they couldn't just trade for other parts ( apparently they they dont have them, thats bs based on what they said next). However, hubby got black Friday deals and they were not will to honor the price. Told him to buy them at the current price and we are just out of luck. It was a $400 difference. After more investigation and shopping around, there are more and more of these same stories.

All I'm saying is buyer beware. Shop local and you will find a better deal and more support. Newegg is Canadian and if you shop at a Canadian store, they have to at least price match of not beat it.

Do NOT shop at Newegg, not worth it.

Bought some pc parts and it said shipped all of the items and once I got one of the product, they added a new tracking number for the others that will come another week later. Very misleading, if I knew they were going to pull something like that, I would have of just purchased at Amazon and get it the same week with prime. What a piece of sh*t company, never again

The 1 compulsory star is 1 too many. 4 years after having bought a 5-year-warranty data-storage card from them, I found it failed and asked them for remedy. Since they didn't reply, I complained through BBB. Newegg remained silent. After BBB closed the case, I looked Newegg up (stupidly too late) to find them rated "F" with BBB. Don't make my mistake yourself! Buy elsewhere!

I bought a couple of items from them and later find out 1) overpriced 2) low quality or defective 3) no warranty and no complaint you can file to. 4) I wrote a review regarding a hard drive enclosure which worked first time and then cannot be recognized and tested on several computers proved defective, the review didn't show up. Newegg is my go-to for all my tech needs. I've purchased a number of items from them over the past several years, from monitors and keyboards to USB hubs, adapter cables, and even Bluetooth speakers. I purchased a desktop computer during a cyber week sale and when I received it, it was had a bad gpu. I sent it in to be replaced or repaired. They decide to refund me instead without contacting me first. This ruined any chance for me to get the cyber week sales from any company for an entire year. If I knew ahead of time or if they checked to make sure the computer worked before they sold it, I could have easily bought another pc from them or a different store to take advantage of the year end sales, but what they did ruined this. I feel cheated.

I don't normally post anything much less a complaint, but I felt the need to share my experience trying to buy a computer through Newegg. I gave Newegg a lot (A LOT) of money on November 24th for a PRE-BUILT PC. It took them and UPS 3 weeks to pull an, again, PRE-BUILT PC off a shelf and deliver it to me. Only I never got it because they refused after I requested to leave it without a signature. I was never contacted to explain how to get it and per Newegg's policy it is automatically returned to them. Whatever I guess, except they would not return my money to me until they received the returned pc. No freaking way. They didn't charge me upon my receiving the PC. I never even looked at the box. Maybe there never was one. It could have been lost on the way back. Seriously, this felt like a scam. I got my money back on December 22nd after complaining and sending a negative review. Leaving me no time to replace with something else before Christmas. Newegg never attempted to make anything right nor try to make me a happy customer. I wanted the PC, they could have said sorry and thrown in a monitor or mouse or just offered to overnight the thing. Not only that, they have not published my review of my experience with them on their website which I uploaded on December 22nd. The only positive I experienced was it was easy to get a hold of customer service on the phone, but they just were not very helpful. STAY AWAY FROM Newegg.

This is one of my top choices for purchasing computer components and accessories online. They offer an excellent selection of all the things you need to build your very first computer or are just looking to upgrade some parts. I would say it is a computer builder's paradise. The website is very modern looking, laid out very well and looks sharp. It is really easy to find what you are looking for either using their search feature or their drop down products menu. They always have great deals and promotions running on all sorts of parts and accessories. If you know how to build your own computer, this is a great place to save money on the individual parts that are necessary. I have purchased a lot of computer components and accessories from over the years. They do also offer many other products, like electronics, automotive products, video/PC games-related items and entertainment furniture. But they are most well known for their computer-related products. There are third party sellers on their website, like those you see on Amazon, so if that is something you are interested in, it is available. I haven't purchase a whole lot from third party seller there, but have had no problems when I have. Just like on Amazon or eBay, I guess your experiences will be a hit or miss sometimes. Unfortunately, that is just the nature of the beast. All in all, I have generally had very good experiences with them and highly recommend them to anyone.

I just purchased a $670 gpu on Black Friday. The website indicated it was in stock. After I made the purchase they held my funds and said it wasn't in stock. Now I don't even have the option to purchase another since my bank account has the funds on hold. Now I miss out on a once a year timeframe of deals. They did not offer me any options of replacement cards, or anything. Just wait. SO FRUSTRATING.
