I was renting my modem for $10 a month from Optimum which means I've paid over $1200 with tax to use their equipment in the last 10 years.
$60 later, I purchased my own and had it up and running in minutes (which was easy to do on line or with tech support). What took me so long to switch?!
And in case you were wondering, no change noted in my services- things are running seamlessly.
This place is not as great as you would think. I ordered a modem and it never got to me. Because of an incorrect address on my part it ended up going back to them. It was never opened yet they refunded me only 2/3 of my money. So a $70 modem ended up costing me about $30. Not worth it for me because I still had to go somewhere else to purchase one. Plus, the person who "chatted" with me online was constantly rude. Can't get anyone on the phone.
They are selling used or stolen modems.
Customer Service would not accept a return.
Xfinity would not allow you to connect the modem because they recognize the serial number as one of theirs.
$80.00 down the drain.

We were renting a modem for $10 per month from Verizon. We found out that we could buy the Same modem from Don't Lease Your Modem for $117. It arrived 2 days later and it installed by just swapping it out and works perfectly. I wish I would have known about this years ago...

Verizon technician showed up to install my FiOS Internet using my re-manufactured modem/router and had no problems. Internet can up wireless and I signed in; once initiated it just zoomed along at the 100/100 service and zoomed even faster when I wired it directly. I'm very satisfied.
My place is big and Verizon put an extender to boost the wifi signal. I got internet connection issues for a while. Maybe because the number of connected devices increase and the size of the house. I would stay away from this company at all costs and don't let the cheap prices suck you in. They are refurbished equipment and do not work. Spectrum says that the modem is defective but this site says I purchased the wrong model and that the device is fine. However it is the same modem I currently have operating on my Spectrum connection with no problems but this same model at my mom's house will not work. Now the company is sending me nasty emails and you have to pay to return the defective device to them and they charge you a 20% restock fee instead of refunding your money while it is under their warranty period. What a BS company to deal with. Most other companies just replace or refund in full if the product is bad. STAY AWAY!
They sell used equipment for twice the price as eBay, fine print restocking fee that they want to charge even if they didn't process the order yet. This site is a joke, I made the mistake of ordering here, I hope you don't.
Customer ordered an item from us and confirmed that he didn't perform the due diligence in reading the items description page BEFORE purchase and then filed a claim on Paypal for an item not received instead of cancelling the order. So the item was shipped and the buyer just refused the item and created a whole mess in what should have been a simple cancellation. Please Please Please just read what you are buying as this certainly was a waste of time and money for both parties for what is an easily preventable issue of read before you buy. Also, we sell the same item on Ebay and Amazon so you are ironic is saying one should just buy from Amazon or Ebay as it the same seller and perhaps it may have been the buyer that could be the common factor and the one who could have prevented purchasing the wrong thing. We have over 99.6% on Amazon and Ebay as a TOP RATED SELLER and have over 3000 POSITIVE REVIEWS on our website so if providing a 1 year warranty for our customers so for those who are able to read the items description page and purchase the right model for their provider they don't have any issues, unfortunately this was not the case in this transaction. Yesterday, 9/23 my bank finally credited me for the defective modem this company sent me a month ago 8/22 I returned 8/26 because (1.) It was not refurbished as they claimed but just used because they did not even do a factory reset and still had prior used account info in it (2.) It was defective and CenturyLink support could not get it to work as the wifi transmission would cease to work within 5 to 10 minutes of start up costing time and lots of frustration. (3) Company attitude is the worst ever... "too bad so send it back at your cost for refund or replacement." It has been 25 days since it was delivered back for a refund at my cost and they still did not refund the money. I had the credit card charge reversed of course at my time to complete the documentation and at my cost to send back their defective product. Never ever would I recommend this company who does not even have a phone number to call.
The modem I purchased was not compatible with my verizon service and their response was unprofessional and condescending. I am trying to get my money back now and I am not hopeful but I will continue to post these reviews so that scam companies like this one do not take advantage of others.

We do state in our purchase terms that it is the buyers responsibility to check with their provider BEFORE PURCHASE so that we can prevent such problems as this as it isn't a fun experience for either party when dealing with returns that could have been avoided and I am sorry if this sounds condescending but unfortunately it is true in such cases. However, you have already been given return authorization as we do still allow for returns in accordance with our return policy and so as soon as you are done leaving reviews and make an effort to send the item back then we would be more than happy to get the refund issued accordingly. Bought a modem from them and it can not be activated because it is registered on another users account. We've spent several hours trying all the recommendations. Customer support is rude and accusatory and saying the item must be "defective" before a return is issue.

Very sorry to hear that you ordered the wrong model for your provider as unfortunately such returns can be preventable by checking with your provider before purchase. In fact, we don't even list your provider as a compatible model for their service for this very reason because the firmware on the units we sell is different then the ones your providers uses as rental units so we tried to help you but not listing your provider but you purchased it anyways. You will also see online on Amazon and Ebay the same story that it won't work with your provider and so with a little due diligence or by simply asking us regarding the model the we would have been happy to assist you. Instead you order a modem we don't list to work with your provider, then leave us a 1 star review when against our recommendation you buy it anyways and sure enough it doesn't work? This despite even being presented with a notice stating that before you can complete checkout please confirm that you have read the items description page word for word as you can't complete checkout from us without acknowledging or accepting such terms so that we can prevent these preventable misunderstanding from happening.
