On the 25th of December i ordered a MSI GTX1080 later that night a friend of mine also purchased this card but he got faster shipping i could wait a few weeks no issue anyway a week goes by my friend has his arrive i decide to check up on my order to find that it was still labeled as being packaged i sit for a while and wait for customer service to check on the item and they tell me that it had been shipped on the 25th and that in 2-3 days they would send me shipping information well today i got that shipping update that tells me that the product i ordered was out of stock and that i would be refunded i decide to ask customer service again so i sit in a queue of 60+ poor souls to be told that i was not going to get my order after waiting 15 days and was give a very loose chance that maybe just maybe when it comes back in stock they might give me the discount that i had paid for. The support informed me that there was some kind of error connecting to the warehouse. Utter stupidity to tell me my order was shipped but to then tell me no actually we never sent you anything as we don't have stock can definitely say i will not be using Newegg again.
To make a long story short, my boyfriend and I ordered computer parts from Newegg and they shipped a water cooler and a processor together in one box to me. When I received the box, only the water cooler was in there. I called the company to file a claim and eventually was denied because, "all of their stock was accounted for," and I told them the box didn't look tampered with so they told me they could not file a claim with the carrier. They didn't even consider the possibility that one of their workers probably took it home in their back pocket. So Newegg customer service told me they could do NOTHING for me and I was out $374.99! They refused to help me so I filed a claim with the BBB, filed a claim through my bank and also filed a police report. I just recently in the last week received my money back through Regions and the bank is persuing them further. I am disgusted with this company and the lack of customer service they provide customers. I would advise others to go elsewhere or you stand the chance of having to fight the same battle I did.

I placed an order for a new business laptop, the order was processed, confirmed, I was sent an invoice, my credit card was charged and I got a notification of shipment including the day, time, and place the order was shipped from. Then, the next day, I get a notice saying that in fact the item was not in stock and that my order was "RMA'd". When i looked at the RMA, the reason given was that I no longer needed it; which was false --- I had nothing to do with this.
I complained to NewEgg and they didn't seem to give a damn about this and from what I gathered consider it totally normal. They processed the "RMA" and I got another invoice showing a credit; the web-site shows the credit and says the refund is complete. Then, after all of this, I look in my bank account and I was charged for the order --- note this was AFTER the RMA was supposedly processed. Again, I get hold of NewEgg and they have no idea why this was; that's just the way things work I guess.
So, I am out $800, for which I now need to dispute the credit card transaction, NewEgg doesn't know why they took $800 out of my bank account and I have no laptop. Not surprisingly, the laptop I ordered turned up listed for almost $200 more than the price I had ordered it at. So we call this a bait and switch me-thinks.
I think they are crooks and i say this after being a customer for many years.

It appears that if they don't have what they advertise and what a customer wants they just pick something remotely similar and ship it. And no apologies are issued. And it is next to impossible to contact them I waited 3.5 hours on the phone and after talking to an agent got an RMA and since than nothing from NEWEGG. I have now filed a complaint with the CA BBB and am in the process of filing a CRIMINAL complaint for fraud with the CA AG. Let the chips fall where they may. But this reeks of "Chinese manipulation" or "crap" if you wish. I ordered and paid for an HP Desktop Computer 6305-T

Returned an item vis USPS and submitted an RMA per Newegg, who claimed they never received item and canceled RMA Resubmitted my tracking number from USPS and received acknowledgement from Newegg that item was received and refund was forthcoming, 10 days later I get an email telling me I needed to create RMA; which was promptly canceled by Newegg. After several calls to customer service I was assured everything was in order and it was escalated for refund. I just received ANOTHER notice telling me my return shipping label was cancelled. Over a month and no refund.
I purchased an Alhua DHR from NewEgg via eBay. I needed some technical assistance and called Alhua. They told me that NewEgg was not an authorized distributor and they couldn't even recognize the serial number of the unit. NOWHERE IN THE EBAY LISTING WAS THIS DISCLOSED. Accordingly, Alhua is not required to support the unit nor give a manufacturer's warranty.

I ordered components to build a completely new PC from Newegg totaling just under $1500. When I received the box with the most critical components I immediately realized they sent me a Lenovo USB docking station instead of a Thermaltake power supply. All other parts were correct. I immediately initiated a return so I could get the correct part. I also told them in the RMA that they sent the wrong part. Well, that doesn't matter to them. Even though I sent the MORE EXPENSIVE part back, they will not send me a correct power supply until they receive my return. They have the tracking number for the RMA, but that doesn't matter. I asked that the "return period" for all components be reset to 25 days for when I actually receive all the parts & was told they could not do so. I was also told the RMA could take 7-10 days just to process, not ship. I informed them that I would be returning all components (due to their error) and am willing to pay the $17 for return shipping. Todays lesson, keep the more expensive part ($150) and order another power supply ($70). Then sell the wrong part on eBay!

On Nov 16/22 I ordered a new laptop from NewEgg, later that day the order was canceled by them for an unknown reason( they would not or could not tell me). I spent 2 hours on the phone with my bank the next day rrying to figure out why. On Nov 18/22 I reordered the laptop again, this time it went thru. I received an email that said the item had shipped. I checked the tracking the next few days and noticed nothing was changing. The final delivery was to be by Canada Post. I called them and was told they have not seen the product at all, they have not scanned the item anywhere. It was supposed to be delivered to th BC postal sorting center then on to me. It's now the 27 of November, nothing has changed on the shipping even I called newegg and told them of the issues. I was told that if I wanted a report filed on the missing item, it would be 7-10 days for a shipping investigation and if successful it would be another 7-10 days to get a refund or another laptop shipped out. So they know they lost it and want me to wait another 20 days tobget this settled on top of the 10 days already on the books for this failure. Beware this could be you, look into them, failure on the BBB as well as numerous other sites. I guess I should have checked into them better. It's pretty bad they can rip people off like this. They have my $3300 bucks and I have 20 more days left to do my computer work on nothing. One more day and it's going to be Visa charge back. BEWARE.

I tried to order an RTX 3080 vision bundle with a PSU (you can only order 1 per customer) but my card got declined for fraud prevention reasons. I cancelled the order, sorted it out with my bank and tried to order again. Order goes through and it all looks okay. I then get an email from newegg a couple minutes later saying my order was declined because I already ordered this combo even though I already CANCELLED the other order and it didn't even go through in the first place! I get an email telling me to update my payment information and the order will still go through so I click on the link it gave me but it doesn't accept it because I'm not in the US and it wants details only from the US. I'm absolutely livid because it's so difficult to get this graphics card right now and newegg just screwed me over for no reason. There needs to be a system in place to see if an order has been cancelled or not so you can order again. Couldn't even use their online chat because it wouldn't let me click through to it. Terrible experience.

In November (25th) I ordered a G290 xbox steering wheel for my son for xmas. I got an email a few weeks later saying that there was a delay in the order, they apologized for the order delay and that the item had been shipped.
Unfortunately during the following postal period I had moved house.
I contacted the courier to try and organise a delivery to the new address. I was told this couldn't happen as they needed authorization from Newegg. I contact Newegg who told me they couldn't authorize a change of delivery address.
Instead on Friday 21st December (today) I had to drive 2 and a half hours to the fedex depot to pick up my item.
I got back tonight and opened the item to find they had shipped a steering wheel for playstation, not xbox. I had driven 5 hours for the wrong item.
My son will now miss out on his xmas present.
Contacting support I am told I will need to pay the postage cost to send it to their local depot. They will only refund the 1st $15 of the postage cost. The box is heavy.
It has obviously been a frustrating experience for me. I will talk to my son tomorrow and tell him he will need to be patient and wait a few more weeks and find something small to give him for the interim. It sucks because he is on holidays during the Christmas week.

I would say that newegg.com is the best website for someone who wants to buy computer hardware and build his/her own computer.
It's Amazon for just tech. Also frequently has deals. I go here to pc parts or extra peripheral items for my desktop.
Answer: The reason why i gave a bad review was because i ordered a phone for my wife, An I-phone 5 and NewEgg.com only sent a box with the manual and a charger for the phone. I called NewEgg.com and explained to them and they stated i needed to wait while they investigate, they never got back to me so i called them again. The person i talked to put me on hold then came back to me and stated she was checking this what was going on and kept putting me on hold for a total of 45 minutes to only come back and tell me that i need to send them a picture of the box and contents. I have no clue what my wife or children did with the box now i am screwed. 219.00 down the drain. This was the first and last purchase i will make until the get this straight.
