Upon looking into this further I found out there was a common theme and a lot of people were getting caught out and were receiving full refunds.
I feel that people are being caught out when they are quite vulnerable - deciding to leave a job and look for a new one or as in my case being made redundant and having to look for new employment. Therefore I now want a full refund please.
I found out that I was being made redundant in April so immediately went onto my perfect CV as they had been recommended to me.
I sorted out my CV and was happy to pay the £2.95. However what I didn't realise is that every month I would then be charged £16.95.
So I have been charged for May and June.
As soon as I realised I cancelled the subscription and contacted My perfect CV explaining the situation and asked whether I could have a refund as I honestly didn't realise I would be charged monthly.
Alongside me being made redundant my husband also had some health issues so my head has been all over the place.
Fair enough they were very prompt in replying but have only offered me a £7.25 refund.
I don't find this acceptable seeing as I literally used the site for around 30 minutes.

I am very upset, the first time I used it, I paid about 10 for 7 days, then my debit card number was registered in my account without my permission and the amount became about 90 per month, still without my permission or information. I discover it today when I checked my bank account, I saw that they took this amount from my account twice. This is unacceptable and kind of a criminal thief. Contacted them multiple times to cancel the subscription - you automatically get subscribed when buying the downloadable version of the CV. They claim there isn't a paid account allocated to my email address, but they charged me almost 18 pounds 3 days after. No response from them after providing them with the proof of them stealing from me! No one answers the phone either. I have escalated it to my bank, Trading Standards and I will not stop here. Also there are other many people in this situation - same story, same outcome - so we all want to go to the media and expose them and what they are doing to people. Avoid! Do not fall into their trap like I did.

My experience with this website started really well, I made a few cvs and paid for them. I then have been charged £16.95 per month, even after cancelling my subscription and opting to not auto renewal. I have emailed multiple times all of which have replied to tell me that they will cancel my subscription (even though I didn't subscribe in the first place!) and they haven't cancelled it and are still taking money- months and months after!

I needed my old CV dolled up, the format looked ancient. So I googled it, found MyPerfectCV and got to work. Site works well, good templates, no bugs or errors. Then when it came to downloading my CV they asked for debit card details and gave a 14 day free trial. (I knew it was coming) So I did that and then (of course) forgot to cancel before the auto-subscription kicked in. I logged on to their Live Chat and pleaded for mercy (I was only a day late and there was no pending transaction showing on my bank statement). The assistant asked me for feedback, I responded favourably, then he offered me a massive reduction. £3 a month down from £16.95... And so I reasoned, that since I really should be more proactive in my quest for new work (and don't the weeks fly by so fast) I decided I might as well stick around for a month or two. Their swanky CV and cover templates could make all the difference! ;)
