I found this site while trying to optimize my resume for ATS and uploaded my CV for feedback. The edits were so good that I created an account and spent two hours making my strongest resume yet. The formatting and wording suggestions were helpful and to the point. Once I finished, I selected "Save as PDF" to have it emailed to myself. It prompted me for payment, so I paid $2.95 for 14-day access and received an email saying my resume was ready. However, after being charged, there was no resume in my portal. I waited a few hours in case it needed to sync and then opened a support ticket. I didn't hear anything back, so I called the support line. They told me they had no trace or record of the resume I created. The best they could do was refund me the $3. The support person said they couldn't retrieve my original CV with edits or the new version I made. To make matters worse, since creating an account, I've been receiving multiple scam texts daily offering "remote jobs perfect for me" from bot emails. I'm really disappointed with this experience.

I signed up for a 14-day trial period of MyPerfectResume, when I signed up nothing was said about a recurring charge. They claimed they sent an e-mail but I never received it. The customer rep said it may have gone to your spam email. My problem is you didn't have anything about a recurring fee on the page where I put my credit card and personal information, but you said you put it in the welcome email you sent. You can say you sent an email but did you send one? There should be a box to check and a notice in big bold letters that way the customer can acknowledge it. If not then you are just scamming the customer by baiting in and then hitting them with a recurring fee. I can see a class action lawsuit is imminent.

I use this site for my updated resume. I paid $2.12 for the use. I called to cancel the account and even write email to them. They wrote back and reassure that my account was closed.
They charged me 2 moths down the road with foreign transaction fee on each charge. I call today and have to talk to 3 people before the account is settled. I still don't know for sure if the next month they charge me again. I ask for the person who answer my call for the badge numbers but they don't give it to me.

I spoke with a representative, Maureen, and because she was so accommodating, I decided to keep my account active for now. After speaking with her, I feel much more confident in using the service going forward. This was my first time calling customer service—I have only ever emailed customer care—and I have used My Perfect Resume for several years and recommended it to others.
My issue today was resolved 100% to my satisfaction. Maureen is a valuable employee. I also work in customer service and sales, so it's not easy to convince me in these situations. In the end, she did a great job of explaining her limitations due to company policy in a friendly and empathetic way. She was then able to offer a satisfactory solution, and as a result, I decided to keep my account active.

Do not use this site at all! The guy name Alex is very rude and will over talk you so that you can't get a word in during the entire call. The customer service is just horrible and love to lie. I had to get rude back with him about my refund. He claim that I didn't cancel my subscription within the 7 days when I canceled it the next day after using it. He kept hanging up on me. Then he finally said he would give a refund and that it would be back in my account in 3 to 7 business days. I warn you to not use this unprofessional site.

I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.

Much like the countless reviews all over the web, i was lured in by a cheap 'one off' offer. The platform itself is fine and easy enough to use - the resume and cover letter i got out of it was great! I cancelled (well, i thought i'd cancelled) the subscription immediately after i completed my resume. And then… surprise! $34.95 gets debited from my account a month later. Luckily i see it straight away, so i go back to the platform, cancel my subscription AGAIN, email and call customer service. Customer service was awful - i was on hold for ages and eventually spoke to a guy named 'Josh', who was mildly rude, unhelpful and as soon as I mentioned what the call was about, pretended not to be able to hear me (the connection was totally fine and i could hear him without any issues), so i had to call back and be on hold for ages AGAIN. He then tried to sell me a 'good will' monthly membership for $4.95, even though i made it clear i was no longer using the service.
I now have a pending transaction for $17.48, which is apparently a 'prorated' refund for the 'unused portion' of my subscription! Despite the fact that i disputed the transaction less than 24 hours after the charge AND happily relinquished use of the premium features, they still charged me!
The lack of transparency and shiftiness here is unbelievable! SHAME ON YOU, my perfect resume! I want my full refund!

They have taken 175$ out of my account now that I have just realised that going through my bank statement. I didn't get any e-mail with invoices for that amount or any email stating the renewal of my subscription. I cancel the subscription just now. Hope they won't take anymore of my money.

We purchased the $2.95 charge to process of a single resume and only used MyPerfectResume.com the one day. We find that we've now been charged $23.99 for the last 3 months. They are another company that gets you into an automatically repeating charge that isn't clearly indicated on their website. They agreed to cancel the account but only after offering us a continued discount price of $12.99 a month and then $4.99 a month, but unlike the other reviewer they never offered to return the charges already on our credit card. Another reminder to check very closely the fine print before paying for anything on a website you haven't worked with before.

My 14 year old daughter needed to print the resume that she made for "free" through this service, so I offered to foot the $1.95 it appeared to cost to print. Unbeknownst to me, my payment information was kept and I was subscribed to a service for $34.95 every month that we have never used. When I called and got through to a service rep, there was no apology or semblance of understanding that they had stolen $160 from me before I caught on. Yes I should have checked my credit card statements more thoroughly, but any legitimate business who charges for a service would refund if said service was not needed, used, or communicated to the "user". I am VERY disappointed in this underhanded business scheme. NOT recommended.

I have never met an online company that was pleasant, kind, and understanding when it comes to refunds until I met myperfectresume. I'm currently in a financial rut and was unaware of the monthly subscription price at the time, so I sent the site an email asking if there was a possibility I could receive a refund and the help I received went above and beyond my expectations! I was able to quickly get on the phone with a representative and he told me that they would be glad to refund me the amount and they surely did! He also gave me more information concerning cover letters, resumes, and more. He even offered me a discounted monthly subscription price if I wanted to stay longer with their company in order to create a cover letter. When I tell you that was one of the best customer services I have ever experienced, I truly mean it. That guy did an awesome job and I was glad that I got a chance to speak to him.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
