I didn't see anything advertised about having to pay. Pretty low having people do all the work of creating or editing their resume, only to charge them in order to access it any way. Premium services I could understand charging for, but not telling one ahead of time that myPERFECTresume is not a free service, especially now in the days of paid subscription word processors, is tantamount to theft in my opinion. Shame on you.

Got a one off invoice for $3 to download my resume. Then three weeks later got a $35 bill because somehow I had been joined to a monthly subscription. Tried contacting them through the website 4 times and have heard absolutely nothing. $#*!ing scum.

Once you selected our 14-day trial, you automatically enrolled in our monthly subscription service, which we let you know at this stage that you may cancel at any time. After that, we charged your credit card since your 14-day trial expired. Also, when we request your credit card information, we clearly explain that unless you self-cancel or request a cancellation before the 14-day trial expires you authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription.
Yeah, you got to be f***ing joking. I don't remember signing up with the intention of paying $25 a month for this. Low and behold, $25 fee. They must just show you the trial amount, because no way I would have signed up if I had realized the larger hidden fee. Called customer service, garbage. Was hostile towards me after my complaint. 0/10 would not recommend.

They first charged me $1.95, then $34.95. This was not advertised. When logged in, you cannot find what plan you are on, or how much money they will charge per week/month.
I went through the signup again, and indeed in the fine print you can see the first 14 days are $1.95, then $24.95 per 4 weeks. That is not $34.95, so apart from tricking you with a weird payment plan, they also overcharge you by $10.
I have to say an email asking for a refund was answered, and the person stated a refund would be issued. Refund of $32.95 was indeed issued today (9/30). I did notice that there were 2 charges, for $32.95 and $0.65. The latter seems to be some transaction fee as it is a european company probably.

It is sad that this company's prey are those seeking employment or new opportunities to better themselves. I did pay the 20.00 from my credit card for a resume review which was done although not very helpful and definitely not by an expert of any kind... most likely it is a computer generated email providing canned advice, which is exactly how it reads. I was charged 28.00 on my debit card, without any authorization or notification, for an ongoing subscription which allows me to...? Have my resume reviewed again? We will see how they respond when I demand a refund... from the looks of this site, I will receive another computer generated, scripted response. It is sick what people like this do. I have no doubt card numbers will need to be changed after reading the experiences others have had with these low, low people. Sick.

The only negative was that, it appeared the first template would be free. After spending a good amount of time updating my resume, I felt pressured to buy. Especially, since I just spent so much time on the site. The templates and word options were great. I like that you can save in various formats too. Added bonus.

As far as help with writing the resume I think it is a great place to begin. Lots of good ideas and ways to tweak what you already have in existence if this is NOT your first time. Have not had a billing issue as of yet and am sensitive to these things so I will be on lookout after reading some reviews. However, their customer care onsite service was excellent. I found this site to be actually quite a great tool when you want to build your resume and make your experience standout for potential employers; the suggestions are a great tool to use and give you that professional edge in competitive labour markets. The reason for me to give 3 stars and not more is because of the automatic payment taken without any notification or notice of such when in limited services acquired. Transparency goes a long way and using abusive money grabbing tactics drives customers away. Not impressed.

I liked the fact that it helps you build a resume, but don't even bother here. You have to pay to get your resume and even then it doesn't go through. I've had fraud prevention service call my cell today to tell me there was recent fraudulent activity on my card and so put a temporary hold on it. Stay well away from this site, as it's not really free.

Your product is overpriced. Pure and simple. These tactics of "50 percent off" and then "my special price" further aggravates me. I snoozed and I lost out on a 2 week free trial. That's on me, but don't insult customers with a price margin you should be offering in the first place.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
