I have never met an online company that was pleasant, kind, and understanding when it comes to refunds until I met myperfectresume. I'm currently in a financial rut and was unaware of the monthly subscription price at the time, so I sent the site an email asking if there was a possibility I could receive a refund and the help I received went above and beyond my expectations! I was able to quickly get on the phone with a representative and he told me that they would be glad to refund me the amount and they surely did! He also gave me more information concerning cover letters, resumes, and more. He even offered me a discounted monthly subscription price if I wanted to stay longer with their company in order to create a cover letter. When I tell you that was one of the best customer services I have ever experienced, I truly mean it. That guy did an awesome job and I was glad that I got a chance to speak to him.
I tried to cancel my service after the first month since I got the job; I got changed a few extra months so I called customer service to see what happened. The gentlemen I spoke to, Ivan, was friendly and very helpful. He took great care of me and got a refund submitted for me without any hassle or being pushy. 10/10 customer service.
The website itself was great too. It was really easy to navigate and to insert all my information.

The only reason its 4 star is because it costs money. Very helpful but could help even more people for free. Many of the skills are almost the same thing or just worded differently leaving desire to be streamlined.

Starting with the positives, the process is simple and they do provide a training-wheels approach to quickly churn out a resume that looked great on screen, with recommended keywords and examples that line up with the job you may be applying for.
But.
If you have microsoft word, or literally any other word processor, you are better off using that. For the bargain of $1.95, you can finally use the resume you built! (Oh, but "after 14 days, auto-renews $24.95 billed every 4 weeks".) I don't expect everything for free, but they don't even mention this to you until you're ready to print/download and be on your way. They profit off people in a time crunch and suck as much as they can from people not going through their intensive cancellation process

Your site advertises everything as free, but once we are finished editing/building our resume, it charges? That's false advertisement and someone of your marketing team should definitely fix that because you all are the first ones to pop up on google when searching "free resume template" and it is obviously not free

I spent a considerable amount of time creating a draft resume only to find out I can't access without subscribing. The reason for the low rating however is the deceptive representation on cost. You show $2.95 and $5.95 pricing, yet lock people in for higher amounts.

I am lodging a police report on this company. I did not sign up for their services and have not once log in to their system after the initial one which I have cancelled, they retain your card details and continue charging you, so if you are not scrutinising your statements, you wont see the charges at all. Zero stars. It is a scam and they will try to make unauthorized charges to your card. It asked for $2.95 for 14 day access to the resume templates then even offered to take a dollar off. NO mention of any further charges. Out of nowhere the other day they attempted 3 times to charge $23.95 or some amount like that. Thank goodness I have a card with a credit union and they blocked those charges. But now I have to wait for a new debit card thanks to this stupid site. Don't use it!

Not worth your time or money. They make it impossible to cancel your subscription so you end up just paying and paying for something you don't use. The "award winning customer service" has never answered my emails or phone calls. Likely because they know I'm trying to cancel or they just don't answer. This is definitely just a scam with resume templates as the bait. Avoid giving them your card info. My best advice is to call your card company and have them flag charges from them and not allow them to process. Seems to be the only way to avoid getting charged. Just stay away from this site
I have renews when needed. Prefer not to pay membership of something not being use. Had to make many phone calls. They pretended that they could not hear me, very rude and insulting.
Then they want to go into the reason for cancellation and why they are improving. They just go on and on and on. Please show respect and just cancel to request. Cancellation should be as simple as nt up for membership.

When I signed up for the site, I made it clear to cancel my subscription at the end of the month, not be billed every 4-weeks. I work two part-time jobs and am unable to check my bank statement on a regular basis.
I was finally able to go through it in full and discovered they have been charging me not to my knowledge for the last 5 months. I've received no notification of billing in my email, text, or though the site itself in the form of a receipt. They've just been taking the money from my account without notifying me in any form.
I tried to request a refund and they only offered me 50% of the last month, that's unacceptable as I haven't even used the site since signing up. I know this seems like a case of being absent minded. I have been charged roughly $100 over 3 months due to a recurring subscription.
The terms of the recurring subscription are only mentioned in the fine print when you sign up for the trial. This company has managed to sign many users onto monthly recurring subscriptions this way.
The chat agent will conveniently disappear whenever I ask if a refund is possible.

Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
