Finding information about ancestors and cousins is surprisingly easy and fruitful. I like the newspapers feature. Matching other trees has helped me find many cousins and relatives.

I am always getting updates, and plenty of them. Most are people I have heard of over the years but some I am not able to verify as those who might know, unfortunately, have long since passed. IE. Names, dates, relationships and in some instances, locations. But it is very overwhelming to think of all the people that are connected to me. But I quest in a way it all makes sense. I.E. My paternal grandfather was one of 14 siblings. And the names never change that much which of course males it more confusing. But! Such fun!
I really like that I can click the "Discoveries" tab and "Matches by Source" to select a specific source of records, for example, the censuses for various years (and many others). It shows me the information for each person as it appears in the census record and shows the information I have for that person in my tree.
I asked MyHeritage to improve the functioning of their "Discoveries" feature. They have done it. Now, when you click on "Discoveries", "Matches by source" and select the source you want, you can click "Review Match" and when you are done, it returns you to where you were in the source listing.
I am super pleased that they have programmed the system so that it is more responsive to my research needs. It is now so much quicker for me to gather the information I want in order to put my tree participants into a community context.

All data is quick and simple to enter, fits seamlessly, and is a pleasure to use. The layout reporting charts are also easy to read and navigate.
Just not worth all of the effort of logging in to view results and matches.
People I never knew are now established kin. I discovered a very close relative that I never heard about before.
Much more information obtained in connecting relatives from the near and distant past.
Mostly it is easy to navigate this program there are things that are confusing and hard to find. Some family members I know there is more information yet can 't find it. I had made a tree many yrs ago but it had become compromised so I did not contilnue it. So started a new one. This is how I know there is more infor on people

After putting some names and dates you know by heart, it was quick to get names of other relatives and fill the tree with help of someone else family tree. Of course there might be mistakes, but you have at least something to follow. Mastering of your tree is your work anyway.
The assistance shown by Support's Team member Mirka has been outstanding and my queries have been answered in a manner that I can follow.
I used to have the access to invite other family members, but it was taken off this year because I'm not the one who started the tree. However, the one who founded the family tree, gave me all the rights because she doesn't use it any more. She's with Geni. The access was taken off because I had started another tree but I have now deleted it. I sent a note to the original founder, but since she's not with MyHeritage, I haven't received the answer and unfortunately don't know her email address. I've been a member for eight years, always had the access to invite family, so I don't know why I'm treated this way.
I have been a member of MyHeritage for several years now. I took advantage of the DNA program last year just out of curiosity. When the results came back I was shocked! It revealed that I had a half-brother I was unaware of. Our mother died when I was just three. I have one biological brother who is 1 1/2 years younger than me. I am now 65 y/o. Apparently my mother had him 7 years before me and gave him up for adoption. He grew up an only child. He now has 2 brothers! We have already met in person and now talk on the phone frequently. We have another reunion coming up this Summer!

I found my heritage is the best site for my ancestry.It saves alot of research.
I have been a member of My Heritage for many years and have progressed as the system grew and acquired more data. Unfortunately, it has also become very expensive and I fear that I will not be able to afford the membership in the next few years.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
