I was unable to open the Family Tree Builder app after upgrading the operating system of my Mac. I contacted the help department of MyHeritage and after waiting 11 days they gave me a link to download the latest version of the app. It worked perfectly!
Incompetent organization and people working here. They are unable to send us the correct DNA kits. We pay to send it to them and they cancel the dna kit code for no reason and don't want to compensate anything so really not recommended. Ridiculous, laughable and incompetent!
I did not understand how the MyHeritage shopping cart worked and was not able to clear it without assistance as the FAQ page doesn't address it (yet). The response to my request for help was came quickly and solved the problem. The member of the MyHeritage support team was clear on explaining the solution (there is a trash can) and confirmed for me that the shopping cart was empty.

MyHeritage Support team member was fantastic. The MyHeritage tree and the Family Tree Builder site is very intimidating when first using it. So when I wanted to merge 472 names with my already large 3270 name site I almost went into a panic when some pictures and names seemed to be lost, but Eve helped me find the problem and straighten out the branch her guidance was fantastic. I think it is great. The customers are nice, they help you and listen to you. You can fill in your family tree and thats awesome, but its difficult. Maybe it would be great if there would be more Dutch customers.
My experience with the team is very positive, they helped me and made sure my problem was resolved very quickly. I did not received my dna test because of the delivery guy and they sent new ones. That was very professional.

I have been a member of My Heritage for 2 years, in my opinion it is the easiest site to use, the most reasonably priced and holds an extensive amount of data, I have had a lot of fun hours sifting through relatives of my Grandmother and found out that every single member of he family were born in a tiny village in Italy, this discovery went back 13 generations and without MyHeritage I would never have been able to go on that wonderful nostalgic historical journey, it has led to me finding many family members and spending many hours on google earth looking at the village where my ancestors lived for generations.
I highly reccomend this site. You just never know what you might discover
Signed up for a free trial and used password on numerous occasions to access the site. The day before my free trial was due to end, I signed into my account as usual and tried to cancel, but my password was not recognised! I send the "forgotten password" email requestion instructions to change, but nothing was forthcoming. I sent a message to my bank to stop the annual subscription payment (obviously I didn't want an annual membership). Then on the day my trial ended, at 10.20 in the morning, I had an email from MyHeritage thanking me for my subscription, hoping I would be happy! Despite numerous applications for password change instructions and telling them I do not want an annual subscription, there has been no affirmative correspondence, only acknowledgements of my emails!
BEWARE! I am hoping that with continued communication with my bank, my annual subscription will not be withdrawn by MyHeritage.
Today I needed to request a refund for my subscription, carter I missed the e mail informing me. I no longer need to use My Heritage, and was concerned what response I would get. No need to worry, I spoke to a very sweet and polite girl, who reassured me it was not a problem. The e mail confirming the refund was within minutes. Well done!
This company automatically renews your subscription with NO notice then refuses to refund your subscription. This is the height of sleazy business ethics and I am going to dispute the charge with my credit card company and advise everyone to take this into consideration when dealing with them

Ordered in november and still haven't received anything from them. I bought 3 kits worth over 250 to holland. Never received them and kept sending them e-mails. They replied several times that they are sorry but still haven't received anything!

I have been using MyHeritage for my family research for a little over a year, having changed from another very well known platform. In general, I have been happy as the interface is pretty intuitive and I have been able to do most of what I have wanted to. I did recently experience an issue with the family tree builder and with the web-site that I was unable to solve via the usual email support (I had had no success making telephone contact or receiving callbacks). When it became obvious that things were at a stalemate, a live online session was organised with a consultant based in Israel. This resulted in a solution to the problem and the experience was very positive.
I miss the ability to merge duplicates in my tree as I had found that to be a useful feature of my previous platform. Despite this, I have no plans to move back at this stage.
MyHeritage is very extensive in features and offers me all I need to create and maintain my tree.
Technical support is very responsive, friendly and skilled.
While recommended matches are not always a positive hit it is very valuable and allowed me extending my tree quite and bit.
My first call was with the sales department and I was under the impression that the every-day tech support wouldn't provide the same experience. To my surprise, the support expert who assisted me was both knowledgeable and pleasant, although the questions I presented were somewhat complex.
Overall and moreover after this last call - I'm very happy that I've purchased a membership on this site.
I truly believe they did not even check or analyze my DNA. I feel they are too overwhelmed to do complete research on every one of the millions of samples they receive. My results were very generalized and I believe they gave me results based on my name. Although Talia G in customer support was very helpful, I am very disappointed, considering the money I paid. Very disappointed indeed, MyHeritage!
My overall comment is that it was far too difficult to achieve an answer to my several requests for a call from support. Once the call did come it was a pleasant experience and MajaI was a terrific educator in walking me through the steps i need help with. After our phone call I am able to do so much more with the transactions I was struggling with
He was patient and kind and very helpful. He understood my questions and showed me how to navigate. I was working from my iPad and he went so far as to use an Apple device to be exactly on the same site as I. I deeply appreciated his kindness and help. I learned more about working with tge website than I ever have before. Thank you.
I ordered 6 DNA kits for me and my family, and I thoroughly enjoyed linking them together on the My Heritage website, and learning more about my ancestors. It was a great experience. In addition, I had one minor billing issue and Joshua (Customer Service) quickly handled my issue very professionally. I highly recommend My Heritage to anyone who would like to learn more about his or her family teee and history. Thank you!
I had to unfortunately have an refund issued and called customer service, who are open 24-7, and the refund was issued very easily, I did not have any problems or stress at all which normally happens with most companies. The man I dealt with was most polite and I was quite happy with everything!
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).
