I just discovered that MyFax has been charging me for a fax number I did not know about for the past 7 years. I have one MyFax line so when my wife saw a MyFax charge she thought all was okay. We do not audit our CC bill that carefully. One day she saw that there were 2 charges and so I looked into it and discovered the additional line I knew nothing about. The MyFax service rep acknowledged that the line had never been used, but claimed that MyFax emailed invoices to me. This was an outright lie! Now I found out that many others are having billing issues with this company. I filed an Attorney General complaint and urge you others to do so too.
I have nothing but thankfulness towards MyFax. They are a great tool I used for two months. I gladly paid for their assistance. I had no issues with them.
When I wanted to cancel, I just called and terminated my account easily, no hassle and no pressure.
I will buy from them again if I ever need a fax service in the future.
I used MyFax to send several faxes on the day that I joined, and they all went through without any problems. My situation changed, and I no longer had a need to send faxes. I contacted MyFax via email, and they ended my trial subscription. While my credit card was charged, they immediately reversed the charge when I asked and followed-up personally to provide evidence that it was reversed. I know other reviewers said they had problems with this, but I did not, and I appreciate MyFax addressing the issue promptly.
I was contacted by my credit card company that your company had billed $22.70 for my last billing cycle instead of the $10.00 a month I have paid since 2009. I spoke with Lucy about the issue. I was not aware I had gone over my allotted 200 pages a month, so I consider the bill justifiable. I will let my credit card company know this was a legitimate charge.
This was my first experience with your Customer Service Dept. during the almost 11 years of being your customer. Lucy was extremely nice and professional in handling the issue. I sincerely thank her.

I simply do not require the service any longer and Rowena was understanding a quickly processed by request. The services has been very good for my needs however I no longer require fax services. The service worked well but it requires a phone call, and navigating through many options to cancel the automated billing to a credit card after the free trial. Would not recommend. There should be a way to easily cancel on-line rather than having to call, speak to someone and be offered "promotional" rates.

I started a free trial but the one outbound fax that I tried to send was never received by the recipient. I forgot to cancel until after they made the monthly charge. When I called to cancel they refused to refund the charge. I would definitely not recommend this company.
As an update to my review, the company did respond and refunded the monthly charge so I was ultimately happy with the resolution. It is still disappointing that their response was only because of a negative review but they did make it right in the end.
I registered a trial account which provides free service for 30 days. At the end of the 30 days, without any notice, the company charged my credit card for a subscription. The company's website does not offer a way to cancel the service. I contacted the company to cancel the account. Initially they responded directing me to a chat service. The chat service said they were not able to proceed because they belonged to the US company and I was an EU customer. They promised to ask the EU company to call me but nobody called back. I have sent several email to the support, billing and UK contact email without any responses.
Edit: The company has reached out, the account is closed and a full refund was provided.
Being kind works! I totally forgot that I signed up for the service and was billed today! I didn't mind because I had already utilized the service, but I went ahead and called because there was no way to cancel online.
I was on hold for quite a while, but I have no plans for the day, so I didn't mind! Once the representative answered, he was so nice to me, and I just had to be nice back! He helped me cancel my plan, and noticed that I was billed today! I said it was fine, I didn't mind, but he went above and beyond to issue me a refund! Thank you SO much to whoever helped me! :)
I initially sent in an email to cancel, and they responded within 2 days letting me know that they don't cancel accounts via email and that I had to call. In the email they told me to dial star when the IVR requests for a fax number. Did so, and was sent over to a representative.
He asked me for my fax number, name, call back number, and to verify my account with last 4 digits of the credit card on file.
He told me my fax archive would be deleted when the account is cancelled, offered me a lower rate, and a free trial to one of their other services. Which I declined.
I was given a cancellation number and that's it. I'm not sure what everyone is going through, but check your emails if you're emailing to cancelling.
I got the seven-day free trial of myFax. The two faxes I sent went through fine.
When I went to cancel my trial it gave me a "General System Error" on the tab where they say you can cancel it. I then emailed them about canceling and got an automated email saying to click on the tab I was telling them didn't work (I sent a screenshot as well).
I then tried the chat feature to cancel. Twice a representative answered the chat and both times they said nothing else after their initial hello and the chat timed out and hung up on me (I saved both transcripts). I then gave up and called myFax directly. I got a very nice customer service representative that says he has put in a cancel order for the day before my free trial renews. We will see. If they charge my credit card after I have a reference cancellation number I'm going to become a nightmare "Karen".
If there is no update to this review after 4-19-21 hen the cancellation went through with no problems. If not I will be back to post an update and downgrade the star ranking to a 1 for the time I've had to spend on this.

I had canceled my services before the trial ended and now there still trying to charge my account. Sent me an email saying for me to log In and to cancel. 1st of all I'm not going through the trouble of password for something that was supposed to been done but at same time they trying to lower prices so that I can stay subscribed
Faxes were either never received or such poor quality to be illegible. Terrible customer support; tried cancelling several times and still was billed; Took 30 minutes to close my account. Does not feel like a real service.

Up until recently, I would have given MyFax a 4 out of 5 rating, but their service, customer service and automated phone service has gone straight south over the past year. They must be really struggling. We've been customers for 7+ years with zero problems until recently. Now I can't access some features which I need daily, and it has rendered the service pretty useless. I've gotten no resolution to the problems despite multiple calls and emails, and it's time to cancel and move on. I was hoping to transfer the number to another provider, but MyFax won't release it. Good thing that's not a deal-breaker. Must be a sign that it's time to change that too. In any case, the company has fallen apart. Avoid them. RingCentral looks far more promising and costs less.
Would give 0 stars if I could. False advertising. You will not receive a confirmation email. Don't waste your time, especially if you have to fax before a deadline! Lost all trust. Also, while waiting for confirmation that never came, I googled reviews/forums saying that they also scam people w/ 30 day trial fraud (i. E. can't cancel w/o being charged once or twice).
So... I ended up going to faxzero.com where I can only send 3 pages per free fax, but can send up to 5 faxes (for a total of 15 pages) for free. I got an email confirmation for each fax, and also a private link that updates the fax status so I could double check just in case email didn't come. Thanks faxzero deadline for docs was 4PM today!
They don't let you cancel a trial without talking to them on phone or in chat. They will not take no for an answer and makes it very difficult to cancel. That said the product works but price is too high for low use
I used this service once two years ago - I am still being billed. Cannot get these thieves to cancel the account. My credit card company has even sent requests to them - all ignored. When you email them to cancel they provide a phone number that places you on hold for eternity. Dreadful!
The 'free' trial isn't. There is a hidden charge. To cancel the service you must call a telephone number in the Us even if you live half a world away. An email is considered a legal document but my fax doesn't recognise this. I question the legality and the ethics of this procedure and I am sure that this type of sharp practice no doubt enriches the company but it spreads a revulsion of american business practices. I do not understand why anyone who values their one self worth would work for a company that treats it's customers as another few dollars to squirrel out and make the month's numbers. Disgusting and disgraceful conduct and I am not sure it is legal.

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
Answer: If they canceled your account, the login won't work! Mine doesn't work anymore and I know for sure that it's right.
