Please don't use them if you only need to send a single fax. They will not let you cancel during the trial period without an actual phone call to Canada. So if you forget, like I did (face slap) you're charged a service fee for the privilege of having sent a single fax.
Before I realized it, they charged me over $700 in the first six weeks- I faxed about 130 pages. Their explanation was that I was stupid that I didn't understand their pricing model. I also learned- and they never told me this- that they charged me for additional pages if the fax takes longer to send. They took advantage of their pretend introductory offer - since I don't always check my checking account each month. Unethical, dirty, corrupt company.
Hello Seth, this is certainly not the impression we want you to have. It is clearly expressed in our terms of service under "service usage" that all sent faxes are billed by page or duration whichever is greater. Most fax pages take less than 60 seconds to transmit when scanned in the recommended format of black and white at 200 DPI (DOTS PER INCH). We never recommend to scan in color or gray-scale as all faxes are sent in B&W only and this will dramatically increase duration time and risk line interruption. Suddenly there is no service. No email for resetting password, no faxes sent or received, and nearly an hour waiting. Of course I was always the next person in the queue. Reading the reviews just now and worried about potential difficulty in cancelling.
Charged for 600 pages of "try's" for@ 35 pages of successful sends. (And as I was only faxing documents to one number, it was not an issue of my providing an incorrect number). Of all the unsuccessful send notifications I have - they do not add up to 600 pages. No way to 'audit' how they are adding up and see what they are charging for. Every time you go over the 100 page limit included in the $10, they charge another $10, etc. Additionally, very difficult to cancel account. Hard to log in, & they provide inconsistent service. STAY AWAY
They make it entirely misleading and difficult to cancel your account. Provide so many barriers to make this simple procedure, but are perfectly happy to take your money regardless if service is rendered or not. Clearly looking to gouge.
I took a free trial back in the Spring, sent one or two faxes. I cancelled immediately by e-mail, but kept getting billed. NOTE: you canNOT cancel by email, or by logging into your account and cancelling there. Apparently, the returned my email with one telling me to call, must have gone into my promotions/junk box that I didn't check. When I finally realized this, I tried to call and was put on hold. I didn't have the time to wait, and must have forgotten to call back. Apparently, you can cancel on Live Chat too, but you even have to wait there for a rep. I finally waited it out and got it cancelled. Those 2 or 3 faxes must have cost me $50 or $60, most expensive faxes ever.
Even, if sending a fax takes time with them, at least they still have some humanity in their heart to respond to your inquiry and not ignore what you are saying. They do respond to your email with a totally unrelated issue. Tried a few times to communicate with them, however you are on your own. There is no 2 way communication from this company.

It doesn't have correct policy to the customers, faxes never reach their destination, yet they will charge to your account, in my case they did 3 times. $ 30. Although it seems absurd, I think we have the obligation to report these sites and make the relevant claims to return the money that THEY steal from people. Most of us think that it's only $ 10, but there are many of us who fall into the trap.
Don't ever subscribe to this company. Their service won't work on part of Canada and they will still continue to charge your credit card. Stay away! As it explicitly say. I have to cancel a credit card just because they won't refund an INEPT service.
They rip you off every chance they get and don't have a conscience about doing it. They have the ability to set limits on the number of pages, but if they do that they can't continually charge your card multiple times per day. This is the most unethical business I have ever encountered. If I was going over the limit for my $10 plan, then stop me when I get to the limit. Every other business in the world does this. Or at least have the guts to notify me and let me decided if I want to up my plan or quit. The higher plan would have been ultimately cheaper for me and would have shown some integrity with the company, but instead they chose to screw me and keep it a secret, then they get to make it hard as hell to talk to anyone. But even when you do, it's clear the people they hire are people who can't get jobs anywhere else. If you have to run a company on manipulation and deception, then how good can the company really be?
I cancelled my account early (within the 30 days of free use) and was still charged $10. When I called to find out if the charge could be removed, I was denied. It isn't very good business, doing business this way. I will never use this service again.
Like everyone else said, cancelling is hell. Even had 2 customer service phone numbers that went no where. The 3rd worked but magically hung up on me after a few minutes. Tried again and got someone that I was able to cancel with. Hope it actually was cancelled but I don't trust them.
Also, as others mentioned I have yet to see this magical 24/7 chat box you can use to cancel.
It's a real shame since I liked their service but now I would never recommend them.
Ehh... service is spotty at best, but when I went to cancel, they made it very cryptic in my opinion. After FINALLY finding a number to call, I got some dude on the line that sounded like he was located in a cave somewhere far far away. On top of that, he was hard to understand, kept pausing weirdly, and kept me on the line for almost 30 minutes! CRAZY! He spent all this time trying to convince me to continue service... then says that I should immediately receive a cancellation email... which I didn't. So, I'll be checking to make sure this actually happened. I mean, why can't companies provide good customer service and make things user friendly? It boggles my mind!
30-day free trial is advertised as 100 outgoing pages and 200 incoming pages. I called in to inquire about a $10 charge to my bank account 11 days into my trial and was told I went over the limit (I sent 50 pages MAX... HALF of the allotted amount). When I brought this to their attention I was told all of my one paged faxes were considered as two because they took more than 60 seconds to go through 63-64 seconds...(how is that my issue?... seems like a convenient processing time). I was told it may have been what I was sending. I told them every single page had HALF a page of writing on standard blank computer paper and was told "because we just closed your account we cant look into it"... EXTREMELY DECEPTIVE business. The supervisor was of no use and sounded as though he read off a script because they get this so often. I will be disputing with my bank and calling in daily until it is rectified properly.

Watch out as this is a trap! They say you can cancel your subscription by taking the steps they listed but the "cancel button" they say to hit isn't there nor does it work! I have called and submitted an email in regards to cancel the subscription just to be ignored and charged 22$ again this month! I've been nothing but patient and I hope they refund the process or I will be disputing every transaction these past months if not resolved! I'd love to leave a good review but your services weren't the best and customer services is beyond iffy! Find somewhere else!

Started the free trial. Unable to send any faxes, after the first try i'm even unable to access the "view faxes" page because it gives this error: "Your inbox is currently unavailable. Please try again in a few minutes. If you continue to experience issues please contact Customer Support."
Tried to cancel the free trial account by going into account details and then billing, and of course i'm unable to do that for some unspecified reason and it requires me to talk with a "rapresentative", which coincidentally is also unavailable at all times and it's just a loop that leads nowhere. This is totally ridicoulous and clearly a scam.
My faxes aren't being received. And the MyFax "customer service" number simply takes me to a long and rambling list of numbers that, when pressed, tell me the obvious ways to send a fax. But I get no access to someone who can help be address the problem. I'm canceling this "service" because it isn't a service.

This organization is one of two things: The least competent group of people ever to go into business together, or just a gathering of truly immoral moneygrabbers. I have been trying to cancel my account with them for two months now. They continue to delay and defer me, while still collecting payments from me even as I continue to express a desire to part ways with them. But they won't let me. I almost admire the brilliance of it. They are evil, evil people. At all costs, no matter how desperate you are, do not entangle yourself with them. It will take you months to disentangle and right the situation, and you may have to make peace after the fact with having been robbed without recourse.
Try to cancel this "service" and you'll continue to get charged. I cancelled last year (2021) yet have been continued to be charged by this pathetic "company." I have had to dispute a number of their continuing charges with my credit card company since they are so negligent. Stay away from these clowns as they are nothing but rip-off artist thieves! They don't have to behave like this but since they are so desperate they are always looking to steal another $10 monthly charge from innocent, unsuspecting customers thinking it's going to help themselves out. The result is a ton of terrible reviews. Stay away from these worthless psycho weirdoes. There are so many other legitimate online fax services that resorting to this "psycho-service" is only going to hurt you. Please heed my words and back it up with all of the other terrible reviews. It's a shame that I have to give you at least one star... if I could give you a zero, or negative, I would.
I signed up for a trial (for 100 pages outbound). And while is faxed 46 pages they mentioned that i used up 190 pages and my credit card was charged.
On contacting their chat support they came back saying if the receiving machine is slow or network is an issue it might take more time. My 46 pages took ******* seconds so they considered it as 190 pages (60 seconds for 1 page). They denied reverting the charges and claimed all the information is confirmed on sign up (in fine prints).
I would rather pay for a legitimate service knowing what i am signing up for and paying for rather than such a scam of being charged unreasonably.

A typical page takes between 30-60 seconds to transmit when scanned in the recommended format of black & white at 200-300 DPI (dots per inch) resolution. We make these recommendations online through various instructional including tips/ tutorials as it is suggested to never scan in color or greyscale as this will increase the file size & duration time required to send the fax, which can adjust both the billing and risk possible line interruption. Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
