A BIG SCAM!
I signed up for the 3 free trial and never received a signup conformation email so I could not use it. Using it. When I called, I was put on long, silent holds, and finally told via an automated message that phone customer service was no longer available and I had to use the website to cancel, which does not work either because I can't log in due to them not sending me a confirmation code to finish setting up my account.
I have sent myfax multiple emails with no response.
They are a scam and should be investigated by the DOJ!

I won! I just canceled my card so when these scammers try to charge it in two more days they will be sad, surprised and sorry!

Seriously, you can't cancel your subscription. I cancelled my free trial before it was up but they charged my card four days later anyway. I tried calling customer service, entered my account (fax) number, selected customer service, followed many prompts, jumped through the hoops, only to be told after 5 minutes by an automated voice that their telephone support was no longer in service and I would have to visit their website for support. ARE YOU JOKING? There is only an email, not even a text bot. So I have again cancelled my subscription in "my account" and this time screenshotted the confirmation number for the cancellation so at least I have recourse to dispute the charge with my bank if they continue to charge me next month. UGH. So mad.

Misleading advertising. You think you are buying service for one month but it is really a recurring charge. You don't get any contact from the company. If you don't review your credit card statement intensively every month you eventually spend over $100 to fax one document. Then when you call to cancel they keep badgering you to extend just until the end of the month and to try other services for recurring charges.
You would be better off to hand carry your documents rather than deal with this shyster outfit.

I signed up for a FREE TRIAL today and test-send a couple of faxes to see how the quality is. The quality was only okay so I decided to go with another company. I tried to proceed to cancel my free trial. For some reason, under the billing tab, it says that I owe the company $0.65 and until I pay this amount, I cannot cancel my free trial. What? I signed up for "FREE TRIAL" just a couple of hours ago. Free means zero dollars. There is no way I am paying this company any money, even if $0.65 is a trivial amount. It's a matter of principles. If this company places a trap like this, who knows what other landmines they might be hiding. I am filing formal complaints through several other channels.

I signed up for a free trial, expecting not to be charged beyond the trial period. However, my card was charged on both May 18th and June 18th, even though the trial should have ended on May 18th. I received no billing notifications or receipts until a failed attempt on my card alerted me to the charges.
When I contacted the company, they refused to issue a refund, despite my clear explanation that I had not used the service beyond the free trial. I also found it very hard to locate any transaction history on their website, which seems intentional.
I've done business with them before, but I won't be doing it ever again. I will also be reporting this issue to the BBB. Save yourself the hassle—based on other reviews, canceling the account involves a lot of trouble, and it's clear this company relies on customers' mistakes.

This company is a scam. There is no way to reach anyone in customer service. I've been trying to cancel my account since November. If you email their support, you will get a blanket email back automatically. It will give you information on how to cancel on the website but this function does not work. It will tell you that there is a chat function for Support and that is actually not true. If you call the Support number, it is a message saying they no longer provide support over the phone. I finally called the sales number and someone picked up immediately. He pretended he didn't hear me when I said hello. Then he kept acting like he didn't know, what I was talking about, like he doesn't even have a business or anything. He literally is gaslighting you like you are not even calling a company. I've been getting charges from MyFax Since last November that I've been trying to cancel. At this point, I need to contact my credit card company to report them as a fraud.

I cancelled prior to my 7-day trial end date and is still being charged. It's impossible to reach anyone. I called the numbers on the website, but they no longer provide phone support. Chatbot unavailable. I emailed *******@myfax.com, *******@myfax.com, *******@myfax.com, and got an automated response. I see there is another email social*******@myfax.com. I sent another email and waiting for a response. This is ridiculous!

Customer for over 10 years. Product used to be good, but now is a SCAM. Contacted in January to terminate the service, but was still charged $175.96 May 5. They have disabled the web-portal ability to "Cancel my Account" you just get a pop-up to "Chat with a Representative" (which just endlessly takes you through robo-options until the call ends). Very frustrating. I'm now waiting 5-10 days for a "decision" from their accouting department to see if they'll refund my card. All after I proved that I spoke with "Jason Leblanc" *******@consensus.com back on January 6,2023 and provided all the info he requested...with no responses back.

Read the reviews and DO NOT USE! This is a scam! I would give this a -100 review if possible. You cannot cancel during the trial period online, and you must call. But good luck with that. They give a a free trial but burred in there somewhere is the "duration" that it takes to send a page. We only sent out 16 pages and were charged $20. We were told that the fax took longer than 60 seconds that you would be charged. We tried to reach out using their chat, which is disabled on the site so you must call. After calling and being hung up on multiple times we were finally able to talk to someone. Even while the individual on the phone said the charge should only be around $6 somehow that turns into $20 in some round about way that does not make sense. Be warned, this is not a free trial and they WILL charge you significantly with their predatory practices.

We have a fax line for nearly 10 years with them. It was 10.00 a month, then they went to 12.00 a month and did notify us of that. Then they started running my card without my permission for 10.00 here and there. They claimed that they changed how they do business and now once you are so many pages they will charge you 10.00. They did not inform us we only found out once they started just charing our card without our permission. When we called they were rude and awful and lied and said it's in the terms and conditions and it most certainly is not! They are broke and trying to steal money. DO NOT USE THEM!
I would rate them a negative 5 if I could. Do not use this company, you will regret it! Customer service is terrible, their fee's are outrageius! Evertime you call, you talk to someone in India that has the worst accent. They nickle and dime you for everything. They do everything possible to keep you hostage to their company. Please learn from my mistake and don't use this company.

I signed up for this service expecting to pay $12.00 for 1 month beyond the free trial. Before the first month even came, I was charged $30.00 ($10 3x's). Ok, whatever, I wasn't using it much longer. I then received an email that my account was suspended. I could not log in because my account was mysteriously suspended. The phone # always says phone support is not being provided. Emails always send an auto-reply saying to log in to the account. I also had been charged $30.00 for my first month after the trial. So I had paid $60.00 for this service and cannot cancel at all. ALSO, the other option they indicate you could use is chat, but that is a disabled option. They are the absolute worst I have ever encountered.

I tried one day of the trial period and it did not work for the bank I wanted to fax to because it is not a secure network. I called and emailed the my fax personnel to cancel. I received a confirmation from them that it was cancelled but it continued to bill my account each months after I cancelled

This company is a scam, do not hand over your financial information. I cancelled 7 days before the end of the trial, yet I was charged for a full month regardless. They refused to issue a refund even though I requested one immediately. The require either a live chat (which fails to load 8 times our of 10) or a phone call to cancel, so there is no paper trail or acknowledgement of the cancellation request. User beware, this is a scam, they will keep charging you even if you try to cancel, stay well away from them.
I'm having a very hard time believing these reviews. I signed up for the 3 free trial and never ended up using it. I have one more day left until I get charged $12 for their service that I don't need. The option to cancel your account shows up under billing under your account information, but when you press cancel it prompts you to chat with a representative. So with that being said, I follow instruction and call. When You call you are put on these long, quiet blocks of time and then an automated message says to go on the website to cancel, which puts you right back in the same loop of being able to cancel because the website doesn't work. There isn't an option to speak to a person when you reach out to customer service or support. I looked at the other review sites for MyFax trying to solve this issue. I reached out to support at myfax and socialsupport at myfax and they send me a link to a webpage on how to cancel, which basically is logging into the website and clicking cancel under billing, which I reiterate again does not work. Unfortunately, I will have to dispute this with my credit card company since they will not let you cancel. I never imagined in 1 million years it would be this complicated to cancel the subscription. This is the worst I've ever experienced and I feel scammed and bamboozled.

Free trial requires credit card. The service does not work. You cannot actually login to the site. Your ONLY way to cancel is via telephone, but when you call they say there is an exceptionally long wait due to the login issue, and no one ever answers.
I opened a mental healthcare clinic in March 2024. I wanted to try out various encrypted phone services that included phone and fax. I came across MyFax and decided to try it because I responded to a free trial. I spoke with someone there and they ensured me that it was medical level encryption...LIE!.
So I went to port my number to iPlum (which, by the way, is SPECTACULAR!). They refused to port my business number that was ported to them. They gave me the run around. So then I had the iPlum tech call and they gave HIM the run around. This went on for MONTHS! I finally said F-You and took another number from iPlum who does offer medical level encryption on both phone and fax.
It is now over a year since the ridiculousness of trying to port the number. The jerk-offs continue to bombard me with harassment calls everyday from different numbers in the same region of California. I have been saving all of them to provide to the DOJ in my state.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM!

They provided me with a number to receive faxes and it just didn't work. Plus I had a 3 days free trial but they took the money immediately.

Faxes were either never received or such poor quality to be illegible. Terrible customer support; tried cancelling several times and still was billed; Took 30 minutes to close my account. Does not feel like a real service.

Up until recently, I would have given MyFax a 4 out of 5 rating, but their service, customer service and automated phone service has gone straight south over the past year. They must be really struggling. We've been customers for 7+ years with zero problems until recently. Now I can't access some features which I need daily, and it has rendered the service pretty useless. I've gotten no resolution to the problems despite multiple calls and emails, and it's time to cancel and move on. I was hoping to transfer the number to another provider, but MyFax won't release it. Good thing that's not a deal-breaker. Must be a sign that it's time to change that too. In any case, the company has fallen apart. Avoid them. RingCentral looks far more promising and costs less.

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.
Answer: If they canceled your account, the login won't work! Mine doesn't work anymore and I know for sure that it's right.
