I signed up for a trial (for 100 pages outbound). And while is faxed 46 pages they mentioned that i used up 190 pages and my credit card was charged.
On contacting their chat support they came back saying if the receiving machine is slow or network is an issue it might take more time. My 46 pages took ******* seconds so they considered it as 190 pages (60 seconds for 1 page). They denied reverting the charges and claimed all the information is confirmed on sign up (in fine prints).
I would rather pay for a legitimate service knowing what i am signing up for and paying for rather than such a scam of being charged unreasonably.
In the past, this service was good. For the past several months, this service has become horrible and useless. I can virtually fax nothing. Either it locks me alleging I am entered the wrong password, when I AM NOT; or it gives an error message. The customer rep. Said there's a problem with the server recently on Google Chrome. I would get rid of this service immediately except that they have record of all the faxes send and received for the past five years.
I created an account in order to be able to send faxes. However, I did not work and now I cannot cancel the account.
I get an error when trying to cancel through the web "Sorry, We are unable to complete your request online." If I write them by mail I just get an automated mail.

I received my first filling this January after the 30-day trial. I contacted to cancel the service after seeing the billing. They did cancel but would not remove the charge even though I have not used the service. Make sure you cancel before the 30 days. This is an easy $10 for them. After I replied that I wanted the refund, the sale person, Philip, hung up on me.
Stay far away.
SCAM! Same as other reviews, it's a complete scam! They will charge you for incomplete transmissions while repeatedly telling you by email and on the dashboard that the transmission is incomplete! There is no record of "partially received" so of course, you send it again and effectively you unknowingly run up the numbers so there will never be a free trial. It's a complete scam and they're racking up charges on your credit card. STAY AWAY!
MyFax are incompetent and thieves, had an argument with their support since the fax service wasn't working. They locked me out of my account so I could not cancel the the trial. Had to finally report it and have the credit card number cancelled. Before I did they managed to get two charges through!
Tried for 2 days to cancel my service. Cannot cancel it online. Could not get representative on phone. Waited 20 minutes on internet Chat, got to first person in line and was told "contact chat later". Sent 3 e mails to cancel- no response. Looks like will have to cancel my credit card to cancel my service. Beware MyFax!
Whilst the fax service was OK, they make it almost impossible to cancel online. They claim you can do it via the myfax dashboard - it's a total lie (at least in the UK) - it flat out refuses when you click the link and refer you to online chat. I then tried that, but they won't accept a valid international telephone number, and the chat won't progress. I then tried emailing their billing email... they refer you back to their dashboard! It's so frustrating! I can't recommend them at all!

4. Refuse to refund charge during free trial period. Says it is my fault for sending over 100 faxes. Problem is, I never had a successful fax go through. Two failed attempts and I gave up on their service.
In summary: Free trial; no successful faxes; fraudulently charge me $10; poor customer service; try to obstruct canceling of account.
I subscribe a month for $10. I send 23 pages got charge $30 for 1 day. And representative said I'm over the limit with the $30 charge for 1 day. Website show you can send 100 pages a month for $10. This company is worse than a thief. Don't even think of trying it.

Tried to cancel account; took an hour on chat. Was still billed again. Raised hell on chat and email and threatened to have my bank reverse the credit card charge. They finally "discovered" on "further review" that they had cancelled my account the month before and said they're refund. Let's see if that refund actually appears.
This company makes it impossible to cancel! I cancelled on the phone and followed up with emails. They do not show record of my call and refused to take appropriate action from my emails. Do no give them your credit card information, unless you want them to take advantage of you.
Get you to sign up for "Free" then start charging you monthly and can not cancel your account unless you call in and wait 30+ minutes to talk to someone... would highly recommend using another service.
This company will tell you that they have cancelled your subscription on the phone and they never do. They keep charging you until you notice it. Not suggest to anybody who value their money and time.

I cancelled this service before the trial was over knowing I wouldn't use it. They continued to bill me which I missed as I sat bedside to my parents and 2 dear friends in Hospice this year. I called them to get it resolved when I could see straight and they hung up on me and now I my phone number is blocked and their number goes to a ring and a busy signal.
These people are thieves and will sell your dirty underwear if they think they can make some money off from you.
I did the trial, it didnt work for me needs so I cancelled. Received an email acknowledging my cancellation.
Then I was billed, followed up and have been given the run around (I need to provide my credit card info by email... not going to happen... apparently I was "extended an offer" to continue my service and my lack of response meant to them that I was somehow accepting the offer and not cancelling?). This company is a scam. DO NOT even use the Trial, you will regret it

I tried the free month (Nov-Dec 2019) and was able to send a few faxes successfully, once I learned to set outgoing faxes to 'standard' mode. Staff helped me with this.
Cancelling the service was straightforward, less than 10 minutes on the phone and staff (Alex) were polite.
My son used this company and recommended it; however, he had the unlimited number of faxes account. I signed up for the $10 per month account. The company is in Canada, so I was surprised when I was charged in USD ($13.70 CAD). Also, the contract states that I was allowed up to 100 pages free per month. I only sent two faxes in the first month and was charged $13.50 CAD for a fax that was 68 pages and $13.46 CAD for a fax that was 12 pages. Customer service said that I had faxed 211 pages. My math was 80 pages. I was told that if it takes more than a minute to send a page, it is charged more ie., if a page takes 61 seconds, it is considered 2 pages and if it takes 121 seconds to transmit, it is charged at 3 pages... etc! Beware! I paid $40.66 CAD when I thought I would be charged $10 CAD + tax. They offered a one time credit of $30 that will take 3-5 business days to process. I am cancelling this subscription right after the credit is sent!

I called and canceled this service right after the trial started. I was told everything was taken care of and they even sent a survey after my call. Now, three weeks later they billed me for the service and are forcing me to jump though all the hoops again to cancel. This is a terrible business practice to make it so hard to cancel so they can bill you and then force you to go back after a refund. I strongly recommend that people stay away fro this service unless they want to get into a quagmire.
Called with a tech support Question: how can I confirm the number of pages was sent. The rep Attempted to assist verbally then stated he'll need to see my screen and walk me through. As I waited for a request to see my screen he was already in my account viewing my fax that had sensitive info. I was totally unhappy with this process and after continuous concern he send me an email 15 mins later requesting permission To go into my account and asked me to reply. This was CYA after fact. Cancelled my service with them and looking into this matter legally.

Answer: It is a scam service, they will not fix your problem, cancel and call your bank for a charge back. They are offering a service they do not provide.
Answer: Because they can. I am sorry if that sounds flippant, but it is the truth and there is no other logical reason for it. Please note that they don't charge by the page, but rather by the minute and they purposely use a very small bandwidth to send pages.

This is not the impression we wish for your to have. I would like to clarify that as per our customer agreement, one fax page is equal to 60 seconds of duration or whichever is greater. A typical page takes between 30-60 seconds to transmit when scanned in the recommended format of black & white at 200-300 DPI (dots per inch) resolution. We make these recommendations online through various instructional including tips/ tutorials as it is suggested to never scan in color or greyscale as this will increase the file size & duration time required to send the fax, which can adjust both the billing and risk possible line interruption.
