I spent $2300 on a bunk bed set, after waiting 2 month for the beds to arrove from China the guys installed the beds and said we are missing the wood slat for the bottom bed, which my bed. I said call the company maybe they have it in the store, he called the company ( the delivery guy) and said unfortunately you have to wait 25 days to receive it. I said ibhave a full size matress plus these beds where i am i going to sleep? He said maybe in living room ma'am until u get ur wood slat? I said r u fukin kidding me no i dont want it take it all back i am requesting for refund he said too late we already installed ur beds and we threw out the boxes I hateeeeee themmm

Bob's discount is not a nice place to go. The furniture is discount for a reason.
Sometimes DISCOUNT ends up costing you more.
Me and my husband ordered a full living room set in December and given a delivery date of February... February turned into March, March turned into April. Finally came last week with only 6 of the 8 items ordered, and 3 of them were damaged. We refused the order and given a new delivery date for new stuff for a week later. Today they came with only 5 items (less than the previous week). Called customer service and was told that the armless sofa (the main part of the sectional) was on back order until July, and the 2 end tables would come separately in May. At no time prior to this were we told that the main part of our sectional would not be in for another 3 months. A 4 month wait for nothing, and we are currently waiting on a refund. Customer service and communication is absolutely TERRIBLE! Had we not been calling constantly, we wouldnt of know the date was being pushed back... no email, no text, no call, nothing! Definitely do not recommend. Bob's furniture should just go out of business.
The sales people are friendly, that's literally the only positive thing I can say.
The quality of the furniture is beyond scraping the bottom of the barrel, even with the pricey furniture. Our first set was in January 2021, the delivery staff claimed the furniture was too large to fit through the frame, only after dropping the loveseat on our driveway and leave wood debris all over it. By the way, this was caught on our ring doorbell. They then placed both sets in our garage. My husband and father in law had to bring it in, with ease, SURPRISE it fit through the door without any problem. About 7 months in the leather started peeling up in large strips, and even though we purchased the warranty "leather peeling" was not covered. We then had to go through the manufacturer's warranty in order to get a store credit to reselect our couches. We were given a delivery date in mid January, only to have our delivery rescheduled three more times.
This company will only acknowledge "mass delivery delay" complaints and not take ownership over the fact that they provide cheap service to the people who pay their hard earned money on their products.
We were given a small refund for our delay in the form of a store credit, that I will unfortunately have to use at their store. After two absolutely horrific experiences with this place, I can only look forward to never stepping foot in their store again.
Hopefully this next set, whenever it actually arrives, holds up longer than the first. I have very low expectations and wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to this company.
If you're thinking about buying furniture from Bob's Discount Furniture, save yourself the trip and just set your money on fire. I spent thousands of dollars on a couch and a Bobopedic mattress. The couch had a 5 year warranty and the mattress a 20 year warranty. I should have walked out the door when the salesman warned me about them basically never honoring the warranty. The couch fell apart almost immediately. Within 6 months it was trash. I blamed my rough family and did not go through the warranty for replacement as I'm not looking to get anything for free. Now the mattress, was fine until we were moving. It literally fell apart trying to move it. So they send a tech out to inspect. According to Bob's, the mattress disintegrated while moving solely due to a stain. They refused to repair or replace my $1,300 mattress. I'm absolutely disgusted by their shady business. They are nothing but SCAM ARTISTS. If I had googled the reviews prior to purchase, I would have never walked into their show room. Judging by the other reviews, I assume a class action lawsuit has already been filed but if it hasn't, I will be taking the steps necessary to make sure no one else is ripped off by this garbage company.
I purchased a bedroom set late July (complete bed frame, dresser w/mirror, chest, nightstand). The day the furniture was delivered it was missing drawer handles. I called the store before the delivery team left & was told I had to make a claim w/customer service. I took that action the same day & was told the handles have to be mailed out & to expect them within the next couple of days. Mid-August came & I still had no handles, the drawers are not able to be used without the handles. Customer service then tells me (mid-August) that the handles are not in stock, but that it shows they will be in mid-September. She personally told me she would call by the 15th of September to confirm they were being shipped. As of today 9/21, I have not received them & am now being told to wait to mid-November.
I've dealt with several furniture stores & have NEVER had anything like this happen. Nor have I experienced a company not willing to rectify the issue some type of way. November means 4 months without being able to fully use my furniture.
Delivery drivers very unprofessional and will tell seniors to lift their own furniture. Shoddy work putting together furniture unknowledgable of furniture assembly and tracks dirt in your house
Non helpful stuff. So poor quality furniture. If you try to tighten the table leg using allen key the bolt will crack the leg and you will see how the wood is like sponge
I went to their store and was told that the item was only available online. I went home and ordered it that night, this was a Saturday. A few minutes later, I got a call about scheduling a delivery. It was agreed for scheduled delivery in 2 days (Monday). The next day(Sunday), I got a call that they don't deliver on the delivery date. It was then rescheduled for Thursday and will be notified again 24 hours before delivery. I did not get a call, so I decided to follow-up. I called and was told by their Woodland Hills store that the order was not there. The agent told me that she will check and leave a note that she will call me the next day. Thursday came, I called their CT office to check for the delivery only to be told that the order was cancelled because it was flagged as fraudulent. I didn't get any notification that it was cancelled, I didn't get any email or a call. On top of that, the charge was still in my account. They claim that the refund was issued that Monday, two days after the order was made. To make things worst, if I want to buy that same couch, I have to go to the store, show them my ID to confirm that the transaction was not fraudulent to purchase the couch online again, which I could not do right away because the refund that they claim they did is not back at my account. We had some guest for that Friday, needless to say, we had to cancel it because we don't have a couch in the place that we just moved in to.
I DO NOT recommend Bob's Discount Furniture! My mom purchased a couch and ottoman plus the goof proof plan. A little over a year has passed and the couch cushions are ripping at the seams, the sections of the couch will not stay hooked together, the back of the couch is tearing, the ottoman is sagging and caving in! But we PURCHASED the goof proof plan, so we're covered correct? NOPE. They sent out a rep today, who slammed on our door at 7:45AM without a call ahead(mind you I have a sleeping infant), he was sitting on our couch, arguing back and forth with us. Then he asked us to use our phone and we where so confused, he calls bobs customer service speaks with a representative for a few brief moments and hands us the phone to finish the phone call and runs out the door. The representative on the phone then tells us they will NOT cover anything wrong with the Couch! So, they sell us a product that is clearly made extremely poorly plus a warranty that's a scam. Bottom line, don't count on bobs for a good product or to stand by it when it's clearly defective. To boot, the tech told us he's seen this problem on this couch a dozen times before.
I ordered a couch online for $968.00. I got a call from a salesperson to let me know that the couch is out of stock and won't be available for a month. I asked for a refund he told me he can't do it I have to call the store directly. I called the store I sat on hold for 3 hours just for the lady to get on the phone to tell me she can't do it someone from customer care has to (WHAT A JOKE) and that someone will give me a call back. It is now 4 DAYS Later and I still have not received my refund. NEVER AGAIN IM SO FURIOUS
I purchased a $2000 coach in 2019 anytime I submit a claim on this couch it's denied. The last claim was an accident and I still was denied. Don't buy it, rip off.

In Aprilnof 2019 I purchased a couch, oversized chair, and an ottoman. I've had issues with the sofa cushions staying in place. They do not. They constantly slide out every time someone sits. But that's not my issue. My issue has to do with the chair, and their refusal to fix it. The back cushion is sewn into the chair. The cushion started to come undone, and a hole has now formed. This happened towards the end of March, when everything was closed. I could not contact Bob's to have it repaired because they were closed. When they finally opened, I sat on the phone, on hold for over 6 hours. Yes 6 hours. I was then told they could NOT repair the chair because it was past the year long warranty. I did purchase the 5 year extended warranty. However, I was told that that only covers "accidental damage". I am beyond livid. It's NOT my fault they were closed. Yet I'm being punished. I spent good money on a bad chair. And spent extra on a worthless warranty. Please, stay away from this company! They are awful!
I would like to take this time to warn other shoppers who may be thinking of making a purchase from Bob's Discount Furniture, please take into consideration my review as well as the other reviews because I wish I had known this before my purchase. The first red flag was the length of time for delivery, it took about six months to get my reclining sofa and another two months for the matching chair. Soon after I noticed the stitching was coming apart and the quality is not worth the amount of money I paid. I then cancelled a bar set that had yet to arrive but it still showed up on my account as pending with Fortiva. Speaking of Fortiva, I was enticed by the promotion of no finance charges for one year so I could get the furniture and make small payments then pay it all off before the promo expired. That was a huge mistake, I never really felt as though my payments were reducing the overall balance remaining, so I called to be sure I was not being charged for my cancelled order. Overall, I feel cheated! As though I spent so much money on furniture that is poor quality and less than one year later it shows wear and tear. This is not acceptable so please do yourself a favor and do not shop here. For the same amount you can buy quality from The Room Place, VCF, or anywhere but Bob's.
Just spoke with Bob's Discount Furniture. After MONTHS waiting for living room furniture set we get a letter stating the delivered couch was not up to their standards... do we want it replaced? So we choose to have it replaced... only problem new couch does not match the love set we just got (mind you it was several months after the couch)... will they replace the love seat... no... will the return the couch we had... no... will they fix the problem... again no.
DO NOT WORK WITH BOB'S DISCOUNT FURNITURE BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO FIX THE MESS THEY CREATED...

This company is the worst! Bob's Discount Furniture on Manchester Road. BEWARE!. They say everything you want to hear but fall short after you pay them. It's been 3 months since we ordered a sectional couch. We showed up on our scheduled pick up date and our full order was not available to pick up. We have been told 5 different delivery dates. We have taken off work and waited for deliveries and on each date there has been no delivery... and no call from Bob's Discount Furniture.
To add insult to injury, when you try and call them they keep you on hold for 2-3 hours and then they disconnect you. They have disconnected us 4 times now, which shows that this technique part of their normal operating strategy. They don't call you back and you have to start the call process all over again. We placed an order June 1st and August 8th we still have not received our purchase.
Today we waited on hold for 2 hours, when they answered the phone, we and got the representatives call back number in case we got disconnected. Guess what? After talking to them a few minutes they disconnected us again!
We tried calling them back and the number and extension they provided to us. That number took us to the same phone system to wait another 3 hours.
At first, they blamed their incompetence on the Coronavirus and shipments taking longer than expected. They said it was in route and would take an additional 7 days. We found out today, three months later, that the couch had never been ordered and they were not even sure if it was going to be manufactured in the color we ordered.
I ordered an outdoor dining set on May 22. Was told it would be 2-3 days for delivery. I got a call that of the 10 piece set, they had everything except the umbrella base, and they couldn't deliver it without that. I told them I didn't need to wait for that. She refused to consider it. They scheduled me for June 20. I got a call on June 20 that the umbrella base and table cover were not coming, but everything else was (why couldn't they originally deliver the non-complete set before?). When they arrived, the set was missing 4 chairs, umbrella base and cover. They rescheduled for a week later. They brought the 4 chairs then but no case or table cover. I had to wait another 10 days for the other two items to be delivered. The base did come then, and I asked them if they would put it together and put it under the table umbrella, and they said no, that it was just a base. I paid for the white glove treatment, and I certainly did not get that. I will never even let 'Bob's Discount' enter my mind again.
I have purchased from Bob's furniture many years ago and found that the dining room set screws would always have to be re-tightened every couple of days. They became striped over a while. Then the table was poorly made as well. I found that you get what you pay for. After looking for a sectional from many other furniture stores I saw that Bob's had decent looking sectionals but the price has since gone up. I gave Bob's another try. What I saw and sat on in the store was not what I received. The plump sectional I saw in the store was flat and not comfortable. After several calls to customer service I was told someone would come out. The tech would come out and assess, take pictures. Then I had to schedule an appointment and someone came out to stuff the cushions. Still unhappy with the quality and I explained this to customer service several times. Oh and the goof proof insurance does not apply in this case so they refuse to do anything else about it. I explained that the furniture in the store is staged to look plush and full and is not what you get. I am very unhappy because my furniture is wrinkly and uncomfortable. I will never spend another dime at Bob's furniture

Bob Kaufman probably cared way back in the 70s and 80s, but this new ownership is all about lulling you in with a moderate pricing model and then sticking it to you after they have your money. There is no way any of those shysters are looking at (or care about) these reviews... let alone respond and actually hold themselves accountable. We are all disposable customers in Bob's World. The sales staff takes a lot of the heat I'm sure, but their assistance is to simply tell you to call Customer Care, which is an absolute joke of a service and clearly where they are saving the money... Michael Skirvin the CEO is a jerk and a poor man's 2-bit used car salesman.

Answer: We purchased a couch from Bobs 1/19/20, the couch had issues from the start but with the pandemic we did not feel comfortable having technicians n the house. Every call to their help center requires 1 hour and a half on hold. They have been here twice 8/11, the problem persists, 9/24 the problem persists and the technician said it should be replaced but I spoke with a supervisor Marybeth D and they refuse. I even purchased the GOOF Proof that is a Joke. STAY AWAY horrible quality and the service is worse... after they have your money
