Avoid minted.com. They make mistakes in your order and then you have to wait 24 hours for them to fix their issue. Their customer service line and online chat agents are completely unable to help.
Since I can't give Minted my direct feedback - I will post this everywhere possible to WARN people how awful my experience has been with them.
Unless you want invitations to be the MOST stressful part of your wedding planning experience, do NOT use Minted.
Long story short - my order got stuck in the approval process (I approved the proofs and on my account the order was stuck in the "awaiting your approval" and was never sent to production) Although I called 3 separate times to try to approve my proofs, nothing could be done until technical support solved my issue. I was not given a time frame on how quickly they could fix the error. Thus, I opted to cancel the order and start from scratch. I was promised that the design would be copied for me and nothing would need to be done on my end. WRONG. I had to completely re-create my invites from scratch. Of course, the second round of proofs SUCK and the color is totally off and different from the first round of proofs.
Don't bother calling customer service, they are terrible and can do nothing. You can't speak to the person directly doing edits and making the proofs for you. Every time you call you get a new person who you have to re-explain your problem to. I literally just have to wait this one out and hope to god the thousands I spent on these wedding invitations actually gets me somewhere soon.
We ordered holiday cards for our clients, and we enjoyed our experience with Minted. I was particiularly impressed by the delivery - it was very fast! I was impressed by the quality of the cards, the spare envelops (which we weren't expecting), the letter about the independent artist, and the compostable packaging! I would use Minted Again!
I am furious that my cards were ordered on December 3, promised by Dec 11 -and I still haven't received them (today is Dec 19). I had Live Chats and multiple conversations with Minted reps - all who promised different delivery dates. All were lies! Yes, their customer service team lies to their customers! Minted could not accurately tell me when I would be getting my cards, which prohibited me from just going to a local printer and getting it done. Now, for the first time ever, my Christmas cards will be late. That's 100% Minted's fault, not mine. I'm planning to enclose a note to my 175 card recipients explaining that Minted's unprofessionalism, terrible communication and lousy customer service is why my cards were late. I'm a fifth year user and Spend hundreds of dollars with them each year. That may be chump change for Minted, but there are plenty of other companies and printers that would like my business. Did I mention the HOURS I've spent on hold and talking (with no resolution or real info) with various customer service reps? Bah humbug, Minted. You get an "F".
Like most of the reviews here I too have placed an order that I will likely never receive! They sure did promptly charge my credit card though! Please Please Please Do NOT use this company!
I spoke with a customer service rep on Thursday (12/16) about my order, which was supposed to arrive that day but did not. The guy I talked to guaranteed me that my order had shipped on 12/16 and would arrive yesterday (12/17) but it did not. He lied to me. Now under order status, which has changed 3 times, it's saying my cards aren't even made yet and the estimated arrival time is now 12/22. I placed this order on 12/6 and was told it'd be here last week on 12/16. It's only 30 Christmas cards. It's my daughter's first Christmas and now nobody will receive this card by Christmas. I am Extremely disappointed with minted. This has been an awful experience & to top it off I've been lied to. I want All of my money back. I will Never do business with your company again. It's insanely overpriced anyway & you'd think you'd get quality items in a timely manner because of that, but no. And I'm just shocked that that guy lied to me. Had I known I'd never get my cards in time I would have used another company.
This is the worst company ever. The invitations we received were not correct and they wanted more money to fix their mistakes. Avoid this company at all costs!
I've been shopping around for wedding invitations and was really excited about the selected offered by Minted.com. I ordered the free samples to see if they'd meet my needs. I received a confirmation email saying I'd have my sample kit within 2 weeks. A little over 2 weeks later, no samples, and no further communication from Minted regarding my order. So I ordered the samples again, but this time after creating an account with their site. I received the same confirmation saying I'd have my sample kit within 2 weeks. 2 weeks later, still no samples, but I did receive an email saying that they shipped. Ok, not the timeline I was hoping for, but whatever. Another 2 weeks go by, and then I check the tracking and find out it was returned to sender due to invalid address. I checked my account/order history and could clearly see I'd entered my address correctly. So how did they mess it up for shipping? If I can't trust a company to do something as simple as mail me a few samples, then how in the world am I supposed to trust that I'd receive custom invitations that cost hundreds of dollars? Will not be giving Minted.com any of my business as they seem to be incapable of basic tasks.
I purchased a save the date from minted this past month. The cost was excessive but I really liked the design. My bridesmaids wanted to get my bridal shower invites from elsewhere but I had my heart set on matching my save the dates and would-be invites. I agonized over editing the design to make it perfect. There was no logo printed on the design as I was editing it. However, when I received my proof I was told there had to be a logo on the item and they would not remove it. The logo ruined the aesthetic of the invite that I was very excited about. The result looked flat out strange. The explanation was that all items related to wedding have the option to remove it but bridal shower invites don't count (what?). As a customer who is spending a premium, who was in the process of spending $600-800 dollars on a product, I expect to have the option to edit the design to my liking. Additionally, I found the customer service team to be painfully condescending. They listened to my legitimate complaints and responded by talking to me like I was a toddler. They didn't give any real answers as to why decisions were made, and who made them. I don't understand why minted cannot trust word of mouth referrals like so many other companies and insists on putting an unattractive label on an invite. Why when someone has a very specific request and preference, can't they honor that? The situation should have never come up in the first place and was handled poorly by the staff who I interacted with.
This is our first time using minted.com after it was recommended by our photographer. The experience has been nothing short of awful. There were a ton of technical difficulties with the site, making it slow and unresponsive, and not saving changes, thus wasting more time having to make corrections again and again. Additionally, we received no confirmation emails, and when trying to contact customer support to make changes and edits to our orders (again, due to the glitches on the site), we waited for approximately 30 minutes on hold, were hung up on, and had to start the process again (waiting for another 30+ minutes... perhaps because of other unhappy customers). After finally getting ahold of a customer service rep (who could barely be heard due to constant static on their end), we were given a vapid apology and no acceptable resolution. This process has wasted days, and after reading other recent poor reviews, I'm afraid of what we might receive and tempted to cancel the whole order. Horrible experience. Would not recommend.
UPDATE: After being assured that a supervisor or customer service specialist would be getting back to us "shortly," we still have not heard from anyone. ON TOP OF THAT, they charged us FOUR TIMES for miscellaneous fees without explanation. DO NOT USE.
I ordered 6 different sets of Classroom Valentine Cards for my grandchildren and spent almost $100. Two out of the six sets came in with a problem. One set was not personalized as I had ordered. On another set of cards, the personalization was not set where it was designed to go. Not only these issues, I got a mix of bright white and off white envelopes. So one set of cards had mismatched envelopes. I called and they were very kind to correct the order. When I got the "corrected" order, one set did not have the backing design which I originally ordered and paid for. I once again contacted customer service and was told that they had no record that I had paid for the back design. The custom service rep obviously did not take the time to research my order or they do not keep very good records of orders. IF THEY CAN NOT HANDLE A SMALL ORDER OF VALENTINE CARDS, HOW IN THE WORLD CAN THEY HANDLE AN ORDER FOR SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT LIKE WEDDING INVITATIONS.
We ordered or Save the dates and they came out perfect! I love the quality of work. We are planning on doing our invites with them as well and I have no doubt we love it too.
Ordered cards beginning of December for rush arrival to get be able to get out to recipients well before Christmas. $195 for 35 Christmas cards, NOT CHEAP. Here we are on December 18th and still no cards. Got emails saying order was cancelled internally due to ink error but new order would be placed automatically. Well after calling and sitting on hold for 1 hour (yes 60 whole minutes) I was told some generic "sorry for the inconvenience," literally a pre printed response the person was reading off a script.
Finally, it turns out the internal replacement order they were supposed to fulfill due to their own mistake, was never ordered. Here's an idea maybe stop offering so many coupons and paying for cheap labor then you could provide good service to well paying customers with high expectations such as myself.
This company is garbage-I mean it tells you everything they're in California and still talking about delays due to COVID. Give me a break.
Done with them! Have used in the past for many occasions but this will be the last. I hope you all get shut down due to your garbage service. How do you mess up at your busiest time of year (Christmas)?
Minted RUINS Christmas for the SECOND time! Three years ago we tried Minted.com for our Christmas cards. We justified the cost because of the quality. Cards came misprinted (regular not foil printing) and we were very dissappointed. Customer service was not responsive until I left a bad review then they were quick to remeady the situation. Last year we ordered our cards from Minted and didn't have a problem. This year, we ponied up the big dollars and ordered our cards in November. Three weeks later, NO communication and now they say the cards won't be delivered until 12/27! When I contact customer service, they offer -25% as a courtesy without explanation. Literally would have been better off going to a competitor!
MINTED.COM RUINS CHRISTMAS, YET AGAIN!
AVOID, they used to be good, but not anymore! DOES NOT DELIVER ON TIME! I EXPECTED MY ORDER TODAY.
I am very disappointed that my order has not arrived today as it said it would when I placed my order, now it says it will arrive 12/14 and with all the TERRIBLE reviews I have read, I now wonder if it will come at all. I would have appreciated it if you had notified me ahead of time that my order would not be arriving on time, I could have ordered elsewhere and you should shut down your site from taking additional orders since you can't fulfill the orders you do have.
I ordered my Christmas cards from minted, to the tune of over $150. They include printed envelopes. A couple envelopes were printed over top of another customer's recipient information, so there were two addresses on one card. After texting with a rep (because minted does not answer phones) I sent photos and an explanation via email and got a reply someone would respond in 24 hours. No response. Called and had to text again (because minted does not answer phones). Was advised issue would be fixed and new envelopes would be mailed out. I then receive an email that I had to go into my cart, re enter my credit card info, and oreder the fixed envelopes. So I called again but had to text with someone (did I mention that minted doesn't answer phones). I texted for over an hour and the end result was that I had to re order the envelopes that minted screwed up. They couldn't just fox the problem and overnight me envelopes. Oh, and they would take a week to get to me. What a joke. Next year, I'll be using shutterfly or tiny prints.
I like a lot the designs Minted offers, and I was satisfied with the paper and print quality before. That's why i thought i can use them for my wedding invitations. The difference is that wedding invitations "require" the review of a "professional" designer, which I thought was a plus and gave me even more confidence.
After selecting a wedding invitation design, I worked on the editing until I was satisfied before I placed the order. The website and the editor are great. However, the proof for review I received short after was totally different to the one I ordered: font size, font styles, position of the text, case... just everything. Yes, there is a system of review and change request which again is technically very well done, but requesting all necessary changes would take forever. And why should i do it since i already sent them my design ready to print?
I tried asking for a new proof which is similar to the design I submitted, but it was impossible to make anyone understand via e-mail or chat. They would just repeat the same thing: sorry, you have to do the changes through change request.
We are at the 3rd revision, and I assume we will have at least 4. It is so inefficient and such a waste of time, that i can never recommend Minted. Besides the unrequested changes on the card proof, the other errors on the cards show that there are no professionals behind the graphical design review.
I paid 34.95 for shipping to ensure I would receive an order I placed on NOVEMBER 29th in time. It is DECEMBER 17th and I have not received my cards yet. There is no point in sending Christmas cards out after Christmas... DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.
If I could give them ZERO stars I would! NEVER EVER USE MINTED AGAIN. I have been using Minted for nearly a DECADE and this year will be my last. I am BEYOND frustrated with this company and their customer service, or lack there of. I have spent 6 hours over the past week on the phone with 3 different reps. In that time, I have not heard an accurate update regarding my order. I ordered them early, on 12/6, and yet the order has been stuck in the production phase for 12 days now. The estimated date of delivery continues to get pushed back further and further. The last supposed "manager" said they'd be shipped out on 12/17 and received by 12/18 but clearly that hasn't happened because it still says in production, nor have I received a confirmation of shipment, nor my cards yet. Now it says I'm not getting them until 12/22... FUMING. SO basically they lied to me just to get me off the phone. This is a poor way to treat loyal customers, or any customers for that matter. It is extremely unacceptable and I will raise my complaints to the corporate level and to the media as I can see by the numerous horrible reviews that I am not alone. People are entrusting incredibly important moments in their lives to a company that obviously couldn't care less. For me they are birth announcement and christmas cards... so upsetting. Had I known that this is the type of service I was going to receive I would have used a competitor. Minted do the right thing!
I will not be ordering from Minted again in the future. My fiancé and I ordered our wedding invitations from this site, the box we received was damaged with invitations that didn't look remotely like what we had ordered online. We were dissatisfied with how they looked, requested a refund and ordered from a different company. I received an email saying we would be refunded the full amount, followed by a confusing email saying a replacement order had been shipped. We did not ask for a replacement order. After realizing we have not received a refund, we have been back and forth with customer service about the issue. They made me send them a screenshot of the email saying I would get a refund, which I did. Once I sent that, they told me that that email went out because of a technical error on their end and that they would not be sending refunds. By the way, this is after my request has been passed between three customer service agents now, so every time I get an emailed response it is from a new person. I am HIGHLY DISSATISFIED with this service and will not be ordering from them again.
Answer: I was trying to do that but couldn't get an answer or find out. I would say no, not possible. I order a bunch of holiday cards, cost almost $300 with pre-printed addresses. 3 weeks, still waiting.
Answer: I couldn't find that. I ordered 100 holiday cards. Cost approaching $300. Been a few weeks and have no real delivery date. Today is 12/22. Oh well, they will be new years cards instead
Minted has a rating of 1.4 stars from 190 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Minted most frequently mention customer service, christmas cards and wedding invitations. Minted ranks 412th among Printing sites.
