I have been a loyal Macys customer for over 35 years but finally got a taste of their utter inefficiency and disgusting customer service. I bought 2 suit jackets in May 2022 which unfortunately were the wrong size. I returned them immediately using their return ticket. Surprise? I got the two damn ugly jackets back in December. I called to return the jackets and was told that the customer service rep who processed my request coded it for replacement - why will you replace an item tat is a wrong size with the same item? Now their excuse is - sorry you cannot return it for refund because it was initially bought in May and past the 30 day refund period in December when they return it back to me.

Macys customer service seems to be located offshore as I could not understand a single word they were saying. They have no ability to resolve customer issues and are just a little better than the AI robot they have on their online chat

This is so disappointing and I will definitely never use macys again whatever the outcome of this experience

Worst company to ever get a credit card be thru! They just continue to check my credit report whenever they feel like it ( which causes ding to credit) Recently lowered my credit amount even though my credit score is better now thank when I first applied & was approved at higher amount(which also dings your credit AGAIN)! I haven't even used this stupid card & have had a zero balance for the last 2 years! Customer service is absolutely pathetic & useless when trying to resolve issues which is why I stopped using card to begin with. Word of advice, if you are thinking of getting this card, just DON'T, IT WILL SAVE YOU A LOT OF HEADACHES & FRUSTRATION & WILL PROTECT YOUR CREDIT SCORE, DON'T DO IT, THEY SUCK!?

We bought this dining set and the boxes came destroyed like they had been through a hurricane. 1 of 6 chairs came assembled and everything in general came damaged. There was a 4 inch scratch on the dining table and wood and material peeling off of everything. We wanted to return it 1 day after delivery and were told we had to wait 3 weeks for an inspector. The inspector came and said that was the design without looking at everything we pointed out parts and they ignored us and refused to look at everything. We would tell him something and he would say that's the design. Big scratches and wood lifting is not a design. Macys then tells us from the pictures they can only provide a discount but no refund when it looks all used and damaged. We had to talk for 2 hours and escalate it and the best they offered was us paying almost $300 to return it. It's a cheap price for the table but we were not expecting it to be used or damaged. Now we are out that money and we had to get a dining table from elsewhere. Save yourself the money and aggravation of dealing with Macys. Boxes showed that it was 2 chairs for 1 box but this box came with 1 chair assembled. Someone assembled and returned it.

Horrible customer service

Tried to return a defective item bought on my store credit card and have spent a few hours trying to return. No one can help! Will be taking my money to Nordstrom. Customer is always right there.

Furniture and shipping
October 14, 2021

Do NOT order furniture from Macy's! I ordered furniture in January knowing it would take up to 2 months. Received it in March - something was wrong with all 5 pieces. Reordered it. Thought they'd have to do better the second time, right? Received the new furniture about 2 months later. It was worse than the first time. One cushion had piping on it - a totally different style than the others. Plus there were scrub marks on the corners. Decided to return it. They WERE supposed to be here on Tuesday (10/12). I got the notification that they were coming in the morning. Around noon I called customer service. After being on hold for over an hour (they'd check in every once in a while to "update" me) the supervisor said the delivery company wasn't answering their phone calls. He sent an email and told that he would call me back and let me know what was going on. Well, he never called back. Called today and the soonest they can pick up my defective furniture is 10/26. I have new furniture waiting to be delivered. I just want this out of my house and never have to speak to anyone at Macy's again.

Horrible service

I ordered a watch on Jan 3 2024. Usually I'll receive an Email that it's been shipped. I called the 9th. The watch was on a back order and had not been shipped. I wanted to cancel the order, but was told that I couldn't. On Jan 11th 2024, I received a Email that the watch was on back order and that I could cancel the order. So it's an act to get a Customer Service Representative who knows anything. Since the Email said I could cancel the order, the CSR told me that I couldn't. It was at the warehouse on back order and would ship in 4 days. I mean Good God. Horrible service! I'm paying my card off and get rid of Macys card. Never shopping again. 😡😡😡😡😡😡. And after all this, I better receive that watch!

HORRIBLE

I order a dress in February was told it will be there by the 13th of March for my daughters prom never received the dress they are giving me the run around about refunding my money back I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN... PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME EVEN GOING ON THERE WEBSITE TO BUY ANYTHING

I am a long time Macy's customer. We sent in a bill late for an online order - at most it had to be two days late - because we had to evacuate for Hurricane Irma. Macy's received the payment and then promptly sent us a $2 late fee. Granted, two dollars isn't much and we were late - but there was no consideration given to the fact that I have shopped there for over 30 years with never a late payment, and to our geographical location. Many, many other companies have gone out of their way to send emails to offer help and services to people living in the areas affected by the hurricane, but apparently Macy's wasn't one of them. They insisted on taking $2 instead. It's not the amount, which is trivial - it's the principle of the thing. I sent in some comments to their customer service and provided my phone number to discuss it in person, and have heard nothing from them, which also speaks volumes of their willingness to care for their customers. I think I will be doing a lot more online shopping - at stores other than Macy's.

I SHOP ONLINE QUITE FREQUENTLY AT MACYS. I AM ALWAYS SO IMPRESSED WITH THEIR STANDARDS. I ALWAYS GET THE MERCHANDISE IN THE RIGHT COLOR AND SIZE, NOTHING HAS EVER BEEN DEFECTIVE (INCLUDING SMALL APPLIANCES.) AND EVERYTHING IS PACKAGED SO WELL. I NEVER HAVE TO RETURN SOMETHING BECAUSE OF THEIR ERROR.

I WISH THAT YOU GOT THE SAME SERVICE EVERYWHERE!

Worst store to go to
December 18, 2021

Dude the worst service ever! I got broken items and they were not giving me the gift that they said it comes with my purchase and they hung up on me. HATE THIS STORE AND WILL CANCEL MY MACYS CREDIT CARD. Their $50 VOUCHER IS A SCAM AND YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY $45 TO SHIP.

I purchased Cookware set on June 7 and opted for an Express Shipping where it was written as 1-2 Business Days. As I need the things asap then I don't mind to pay an extra USD 15 for the Express Shipping cost.

What I found our now on June 8 from their site that the items is "On the way, Arrives by Monday, Jun. 12" whilst if it 1-2 business Days it should be arrived by 8 or 9 June. I felt ripped off by paying an extra cost for 3 Days shipping instead of 1-2 Days

Ordered and a hour later I tried to cancel no option except to call.
They said well its been an hour since you Ordered so you can stick that cancel request where the sun don't shine!
REALLY! It's been a hour since I placed the order!
Well we printed up a ticket already... are you F**C*ING SERIOUS!
DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! TOTAL BULL$#*!!
