No driver showed up for a ride that was reserved 10 hours ahead. Nearly missed our flight. Cost us $180 for airport parking. Do not trust lyft
I have promo $50 for each ride $10 off however it does not allow me to redeem the points and when you try to complain no answer
I have had drivers flat out screw up and then cancel the ride so I was stuck having to run my card again!
Just had a super weird experience with a Lyft driver he pulls up on my daughter. Then basically refuses to perform his job. Talking about some section three of the Lyft policy no other driver has cited whatsoever previously. Chris apparently holds fast to this supposed policy is about her having to be 18 years old. My daughter is 16 year old junior in high school of large size. She's definitely not a toddler and or an infant. So I don't know why he felt that he had to just try to show his $#*! this morning. But I hope Chris feels good. Wherever he is for giving her a terrible experience. Then I'm charged a cancellation fee of $5 for him giving her a terrible and weird experience. Then the lyft support was no better will never use their service again. What a bunch of crap. There supposed customer service is unprofessional. Took super long pauses never showed any empathy as I was chatting with them and then simply copy and paste it a one line website response to me. I'm a single parent trying to make sure that my child makes it to work and school. While I'm having car issues. I had to deal with two someone's ineptitude and lack of customer service today. #lyftdriver #Lyft Chris you suck if you didn't want to perform the ride for a black family just say so without hiding behind lies and rhetoric. I understand some of the reasoning for the policy. However I communicate with my daughter during all rides I'm not on with her. I then follow along with the ride in the app and ensure that she's arrived safely. We have not had any previous issues or service refusals citing this policy in the in the past. My ride history is full of these same rides Chris feels discriminatory to me.
The customer service agents should do humanity some service by quitting their jobs and working for what's more suitable to their self interests. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Any stars above 0 is a scam.
I've been waiting almost an hour. I still haven't heard from a driver. Never again, will I use this service
I applied to drive for lyft, I asked all apporiate questions and then sent in my deposit. After a week of waiting I emailed them back asking if I had passed the background check. I had passed but they forgot to inform me. I was then told to wait until Monday to go get my car. I did. I called several locations and was told I needed to come in to speak to a rep from the company. I could get no further information.
When I arrived at the downtown Hertz agency. As soon as I approached the door someone informed me that Lyft was done for the day and had been since 12 noon. This was a surprise to me since I had called around 2 o'clock and was told to come in. They informed me that only about 12 cars a day would be rented and that you needed to come in everyday at around 6am to have a chance at getting a car even though the lyft staff doesn't arrive until 11am.
I think that the amount of lies and hassle you go through to pay for an over priced car isn't worth it. I took off of work to do this and was disappointed if they had told the truth about the process I would not have canceled.
Im handicapped and me, my daughter and granddaughter used the app for a lift driver. Her name was Necole, first number of license plates JKK. My daughter smiled nice at the lady and asked are you Nicole. Lady said ya and looked at us an old crippled lady a young mother and a 15 year old with stuff animals. She said how many we said 3 of course. She said she didn't feel comfortable. She was a middle aged black woman. I know the real reason why she refused to take us home. She shouldn't be working for lift or any other company. Her car was dirty and wasn't even like most lift cars I've seen. So if your white and lift gives you a Nicole with license plate starting with jkk ask for a new driver shell leave you anyway because of the color of your skin. I'm 0.99 for sure. Our next lift driver asked how we were, we told him what had just happened. He asked if she were black we said yes he said it was because we were white. I hope this lady finds a nother job because she surely can't do lift or any other job if she is racist. Avoid her at all cost.
I signed up today and I didn't have to submit any credit card information at all so I don't know what everyone is saying about a charge.
Living in the city, I dont have a car. So I use Uber a lot. It's only a couple of dollars each trip more than Lyft. The difference can be neglected that it can save me so much headache later! I was so much disgusted last few times experience by Lyft customer service not taking any responsibility on any issues when happened. I have given Lyft multiple tries. It really sucks. All they care is grab my trip money and run! On the contrary: Uber customer service is very responsive, fast and always taking care of customers for a good experience!
Once I lost/forgot my leather gloves on the car. After the trip at home I messaged Lyft customer service for help. They are cold and not helpful. Not taking any responsibilities.
Second time, me and my friend called a shared Lyft from JFK to Manhattan. I live midtown and she lives up east so it's on the way. However, Lyft matched us with a guy living in Jersey city and to drop him off all the way in NJ first! Oh My... It obviously is a bad route. The detour wasted us so much extra time in the car but not saving on cost! It only fattened the driver and company's wallet by picking up passengers up from the same spot.
Third time, It is the worst experience. I decided I had enough. I will forever ban this company from my life! I am really angry after hours long 4,5 times transferred to different reps repeating myself the incident and multiple emails later. Both reps replied after 24 hours are only a copied terms and conditions the company takes zero responsibility or insurance for the users (including driver and passenger). Imagine if I was in bigger danger or damages. I can not risk it. The incident was I have a shoulder injury, the driver damaged my large box of grocery. He carelessly dropped it to the floor. My trip was extended double time due to the incident. The grocery are spoiled due to the delay. My back was also hurt because the driver unwilling offering a hand. Neither the driver or the company offered any good gesture or even an apology
I enjoyed the drivers and other passengers much more than Uber. Using the "Line" function it's very cheap too.
First time calling in five years. They are worthless. Simple issue with my pay didn't bother with any effort.
I was recently in a car accident and am without transportation. I just started a new job and the company has a very strict late policy. I was told about Lyft and Uber and decided to give it a whirl. After looking at reviews online, I saw a lot of people favored Lyft over Uber, so I went with it. The first downside, you cannot schedule in advance, so you are expected to call for your ride a little before you need the ride. I tried two days in a row to contact a driver and had no success ( they were all busy). Well that sucks, considering I still need to get to work. A few days later I request a driver, about 45 min before I needed to be to work, ( which is only 7 min from where I live.). I requested the driver, because the system said it was only 12 min away. Once I clicked the confirm button, I find out it's 17 min away. Then a few min later, the driver Jerome called and introduced himself, to my relief he said he was only 5 miles away and would be there. I waited, and waited and waited... over 50 min later, he still wasn't there and his phone would go right to voicemail when I would try to call. Needless to say, I wasn't going to make it to work on time! I ended up cancelling the ride, I sure hope they don't charge me for it. Of course, I tried to call customer service while all of this was going on, and what do you know, they're aren't any live representative options. They refer you to go back to the website! This company sucks, I would never ever even think about ever using it again! I only gave it a 1, because I had to!
Wallingford, Pa.
The man was petty he charged me 80 dollars for a damage fee because I accidentally waste some food juice on his seat, offered to clean it up very rude and nasty slammed on breaks once told him was HONEST enough to let him know once I realized it was leaking out this man is ridiculous and GOD doesn't like ugly I'm not paying 80 dollars it's very sad Marc you make Lyft look bad it was a simple mistake and you was wrong because you lied and said I did damages to your seat when you tried to clean it up that is the damage you did I spilled a small amount of juice, food juice is not WHITE by the way like the pictures you sent for review you sat outside of a paying customer house for over a hour Who's to say what you did to your seats I know what I did and you lucky no harm came to you moral of the story I should not be penalize because of a simply honest mistake that didn't cause any damages you was being petty your a broke human being and will reap what he sows as far as Lyft I never had any problems until now something needs to get done either way I'm NOT paying it. Then tried to charge my card 5 times you won't be getting it have a supervisor that's competent enough reach out to me and resolve the issue.
Waited an hour in a wheel chair. The hospital arranged. Tgey never showed they ckaim they did not show because they did not have a nunber. Jc lincoln is on the line 24/7
Lyft is by far theeee worst car service there is
I waited 20 min then 14 min then 7 min then 4 min then 2 min
Still waiting for the cab from hell thank you Lyft
My signal was lost during ride and I was stranded in the middle of nowhere with no ride. LYFT didn't care.! Never again terrible platform
I am so over this company. I use lyft daily and spend between $2,500 - $3,000 on lyft each year. I recently was picked up from the airport and my driver decided to make a last minute turn into the 405 literally doubling the length of my trip because I live in Venice. So, my 8 mile trip turned into 16... now here is the kicker - they charged me $43! That's literally double the highest fare I have ever paid from the airport- a trip I take twice a month. I reported it to lyft employees and a lyft supervisor, which must be a computer, because they assure me that I was charged correctly and refuse to give a refund. I even showed them my last 10 trips to the airport to prove why this is so wrong. Nothing.
Now I will tell my sisters story. She ordered a lyft to pick her up at 5 am the night before because she was flying out to Sweden. The dude showed up 30 minutes late and was yelling. She put her things in the back seat and went to put her things in the trunk and the guy took off with the passenger door open and her purse with passport and backpack. She called the police, but Lyft refused to give them the license plate without a court order. My sister called our friend who has a fast car, grabbed my moms phone, and tracked her phone which was in her purse. They followed the man all the way to the border of Mexico and when he finally pulled into a rest stop, they blocked him in and called the police. Local police arrested him and found out that he was intoxicated and driving WITHOUT A LICENSE. Best part. Lyft did absolutely nothing! Not one credit. Not one thing. I wish she brought it to a news outlet because this is way too dangerous to not be taken seriously. Please always take a picture of the license plate before getting in and be very aware.
Lyft - you should be ashamed. I don't like Uber, but I'm taking my $2,500 - $3,000 a year to them.
Why Lyft keep taking money out my bank account without my knowledge. I never use this crooks again. You can't just take people money
Overcharged my ride by 25% first time and then 100% the second time. Simply put, the application does not work how it is advertised.
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
Lyft has a rating of 1.4 stars from 906 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Lyft most frequently mention customer service, credit card and phone number. Lyft ranks 32nd among Car Sharing sites.
