I am so outraged at the so called customer service that is provided through Lyft. I was a frequent Rider and used Lyft 5 days a week. Just recently I had a Lyft pick me up like usual at work to take me home which I have done so many times before without any problems well this time was so different after getting dropped off at home without any issues and I was satisfied until I got an email stating I was being charged for damages. The driver had claimed I puked in her car which is not at all what happened charging me $100. I contacted Lyft customer service to resolve the issue. Now if I had actually done what was said I would have paid the fee without no problems but this is not what happened and she ended up getting away scamming me Lyft claims they have damage investigators that do their job and since she had a picture of the said puke apparently that was good enough for them and they are still trying to charge me $100 for something I did not do I will no longer be taking their services home I would rather use Uber then use a lyft
Ever again. It is sad to say that they do not care about customer service at all I am not some Joe schmo out there trying to scam them out of money I was just trying to get home I hope others learn from this and do not use Lyft because they don't care about the people that they are taking home
This app steals your money and the driver was money hungry fool. Don't trust them. You can't reach anyone to help resolve your issues
Garbage vampire company Garbage vampire company Garbage vampire company Garbage vampire company Garbage vampire company
This is a scam and the app won't even let you register. Good thing, too, because most people report sheisty dealings with the payments, etc.
$#*!in horrible told me three different times by the time they were coming it was too late never will use lyft again $#*!ing horrible!
You book a lyft and it says booked so you wait the 45 minutes only to find out there is no one coming for you. What a $#*!ing joke.
I started using Lytf after a few bad experience with Uber and the change worth it specially from the airport
He ended my ride and left me as soon as i got out the car had to pay for a new ride home 21$ + 18 to get home not cool at all
Because most drivers are not well informed and educated on what it costs to drive every mile, they think that they are making money and continue to devaluate their cars while driving all those miles that don't compensate for all the related expenses. This is a dangerous job that deserves to be paid accordingly. When you are always looking for an address, you are not so attentive to all the dangers of the road. Yet, Lyft and Uber pay little money: about $3.25 for about 20 or 30 minutes of driving. I did some rides that paid $6.00 and took about 50 minutes. Their incentives are very deceiving because they require driving during very heavy traffic hours and not very ideal situations. You need to maintain 90% acceptance which is hard given that often you would have to accept rides that take you very far away, from where you would need to drive back empty, absorbing all the cost. On top of this, Lyft has not customer service. It takes days to get any answers and they are often not helpful. They have no physical locations to go to get problems resolved. I was robbed by a passenger and got absolutely on help from them. They did not cooperate with the police to identify the suspect which they knew. If Uber is bad, Lyft is much worse.
They also use more deceiving practices than Uber. They make you think that you are getting paid a certain amount when in reality that is what they are collecting from the passenger. You don't have access to each ride record on line that you can use to document events during the ride or submit a complain/request.
Stop driving for Lyft or Uber if you are doing it. Any other job is much better because you make some money.
Lyft has been charging my account for rides I have taken I want my money back. Won't give an explanation
I set set date and time to be pick up. No show, no one text me or call let me know a driver was not coming. Bad business
Both transportation apps are butt! We Just Need A New One! I'm to the point I'm ready to start using taxis again.
I was scammed in Atlanta, GA on September 4th, 2021. The scam is when drivers come just close enough to the pick up area to start the 5 min timer, make no contact until about 5-10 seconds remaining, then send one text like "Where are you?" Then before you can respond the time runs out and they collect a "no-show" fee. Mind you, they will not respond to any call or text within that 5 mins while you are trying to contact them. But when they send that last second "Where are you?" text, it makes it appear as though they tried to reach you and failed. This happened to my boyfriend twice within 10 mins where in one of them, we watched the car icon literally drive away from our area when we tried to contact him. Then, I decided to try and it happened to me. I could see the car icon was nearby but he just went and parked in the huge parking lot of cars to run down the time and we didn't have time to search every license plate to find him. I called and texted several times with no response. $6 later, I finally got a ride with my 2nd attempt. I asked the driver about the scam and he openly admitted that he does that often himself if he doesn't like the way the customer looks or he just doesn't want to make the drive. I reported this to Lyft immediately while in the 2nd Lyft. I never got a response. I just looked into again today October 23,2021. I looked through my inbox to see if I had missed it or something. I went in the app to try to find my report and it was no where to be found. I then contacted them through the message system and re explained it all just to be told that the charge was correct and if I can't show up to my ride within 5 mins then the driver gets rightfully compensated. #1 I have NEVER missed my ride. EVER. #2 I used to drive for Lyft. I still have a 5.0 rating on my profile. All the "customer service" would need to do is look at the messages and call attempts between myself and that scam driver in the app to see what I am saying is true and even look at his profile for a pattern. But no. Blame the customer. That's the answer. I'll be using Uber from now on.
Scheduled and paid for a ride 10 hours in advance and received confirmation. 1 hour before Scheduled pick up I received a notice that the ride would arrive on time, however the ride NO SHOWED me.
Some stole my CC and used it to start a lyft acct... what kind of security do they have. Was obviously way to easy for this a******* to use my card
Firstly there is the service. One day you might get a ride with someone who speaks the same language as you and is driving a clean vehicle that isn't dented, rusting or doesn't stink like the 9th circle of hell inside but that will be a RARE day if you ever do. Secondly, If you find yourself outside of their preferred pick up areas, you are not going to get a ride or you will wait longer than you wold have for a taxi or legal rideshare. Third, THERE IS NO INSURANCE. Lyft is falsely advertising that they actually have insurance, their TOS page invalidates any and all coverage for you once you get in the vehicle. Fourth, their surge pricing scam is obviously NOT about a lack of supply or demand or they wouldn't be dropping the surge price once a few of their drivers have picked up people at THREE times the normal rate in the same area. It is a method of keeping their vehicles in one area so Uber can collect more fees from their drivers. It has nothing to do with customer service or actual demand and it destroys the green factor of the service as it puts twice as many vehicles on the road than would be needed. This isn't even a real rideshare company. It is just a crappy point to point service. If you do not care about your own safety or the safety of those you travel with or the planet, this is the service for you.
No one has contacted me from Lyft having glitches and it's not accepting any payments methods even though I have thousands in a Lyft pass
If you're looking for pain and suffering, choose Lyft. One of the very worst rides in the US. I hope they'll go out of business very soon.
Why was a charged $27 when the ride was for $14. I'm so tired of this. Everytime I use them this is what happens.this is highway robbery
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
