Totally scammed out of a deal. Called to find out if multiple family members could order through same CC--was told as long as we each had our own LS and email account, it was no problem! Come to find out, they cancelled the orders, but saved our CC information for our accounts.
And now 5 days later it is still not resolved, keep getting the run around.
Will NEVER deal with them again. Ready to file against them for fraud, this is total and utter fraudulent marketing and sales practices.
My issue is this: I placed the order for 1 Amazon.com card the morning of the day of the offer. I did not receive any emails confirming my order. I kept checking my account, which continued to say purchasing ( i think it was) with a note that I would be charged within 1 day. I checked their online help. I checked my spam. On 1/20, I sent a Help request through their online help. On 1/21, I contacted customer care and was told I would have my order by end of business next day.
I also then received a response to my online help request indicatng mine was a duplicate and would be cancelled. Since I only placed one order, I was quite concerned. I responded to that message with my response (mentioned above).
Then I saw a lot of negative blogging going on about LivingSocial and this offer and attempted to remove my credit card info from MY Account. I was pretty wigged and definitely feeling like I was in the midst of a scam to get my credit card info. In order to remove my credit card info from "MY Account", I had to delete the "purchasing" offer. I did NOT want to delete the offer, I still want it, but I did not feel comfortable having my credit card information stored with Living Social after receiving such an incorrect response from customer service.
After repeated attempts to resolve through their Facebook site, and some direct communication with their FB "customer advocate". The latest commitment was that I would receive an update on the resolution by today. At 7:26 pm, I've received nothing. I'm convinced they have no intention of honoring their offer which more than 1 mm people purchased.
Stay away from this site. It doesn't get worse than this.
My spouse and I purchased 2 Amazon gift cards using two different credit cards on two separate accounts since limit one person. Both of orders got cancelled. Called several times, spokes to 5 representatives, they accused me of open two accounts and tried to make multiple fraud purchases since the we same the same mailing address and similar credit cards. The representatives were rude and unprofessional that didn't listen to you. Three of them actually hung up on me during our conversation. LIVING SOCIAL IS THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEAL WITH STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
I have had GREAT experience with LivingSocail! I have purchased 10 vouchers in the past and have had no problems. I am writing this review because I think everyone who is complaining about the vouchers didnt read the fine print when purchasing...
I purchased two vouchers for a place called corrective skin and vein center in okc for my wife before xmas through living social. She has called during work hours and no one answers. The machine indicated they were off till january 4 for xmas... it is now january 22 and stll no one at the place. Living social has done nothing to research these places out... they are not standing behind their product... NEVER again will I do busiess with these frauds...

Two days ago, my friend passed this great deal on me and I bought the Amazon deal: $20 gift card for $10. And if I pass it on my friends and 3 of them buy, I will get my free. Many of my friends bought, I didn't get it for free, but... today, my credit card company called me and warned my for fraudulent charges of $402! We immediately canceled my account and the card. Thanks, Chase, for being so observant. The only new place I used that credit card was on LivingSocial... what a coincidence! I don't trust them anymore and won't use them nor recommend them.
Sorry for any confusion... but rest assured LivingSocial would never intentionally charge you inaccurately for a deal purchase.
One of our Consumer Advocates will be contacting you shortly and will gladly look into your account for you to see what charges you may be seeing.
Thanks for LivingSocial!

HORRIBLE COMPANY. I SIGNED UP FOR A ONE MONTH BOOT CAMP AND CALLED THE COMPANY (HOME OFFICE BASED IN ANOTHER STATE) TO REGISTER AND WHEN I SHOWED UP 3X FOR BCOR BOOTCAMP, NO ONE WAS THERE! I CALLED LIVINGSOCIAL - *******191 AND THEY WERE RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. THEY SAID THEY HAD JUST FINISHED A 1.9 MILLION DOLLAR DEAL WITH AMAZON AND THEY DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO PASS ME OVER TO A SUPERVISOR. REALLY! OH, BCOR JUST STOPPED ANSWERING THEIR PHONE! AND YOU CAN'T LEAVE A MESSAGE! WHACK
We rely on feedback from consumers like you to ensure that we continue to provide the best overall experience. We couldn’t help but notice that you had a negative experience with one of our deals, and we want to rectify the matter.
Though occurrences like this are rare, they are nonetheless disappointing. We don’t want to be anything less than your most trusted broker of quality deals in your area but in this instance, we fell short.
Please be on the lookout for a message from one of our Consumer Advocates and we will happily look into the matter for you.

Constantly changed their TOS while the deal was going on. They also took much longer than they stated to actually deliver the item. Would not do business with again. F-
We apologize for the delay. Our 1.3 million purchases (!) took a bit longer than normal to process.
All purchase confirmation emails, including your Amazon gift card code have been sent out. Please check your Inbox for your email and if you do not find it there, we recommend checking your SPAM folder. You can also find your gift card by visiting our site (https://livingsocial.com) and clicking on the "Get your gift card here" link at the top of the page.
Per the terms of the deal, a limit of one purchase per person was allowed. If you made multiple purchases, you will only receive a gift card code for your first purchase made.
Thanks for your patience and thanks for LivingSocial!

Seems like their site is down. I bought from them b4 and i ddnt have any problems just today. I bought the $10 for $20 amazon... I wonder if they're really gonna run with the credit card infos like many people from this site are saying. Hope not... Ive always had the best service with groupon as well... I hope they will have this deal soon. So far, neg. Experience about the $10 amazon deal...
I hit the cancel too see my options butthe deal got cancelled immediately. I believe that these guys are really trying to collect credit card information.
I haven't have any issue with livingsocial or groupon. Some people just do not know what are they talking or even doing.
Awww! Thanks for the love!

There's no confirmation for cancellation. I accidentally hit the cancel link and my deal was gone. Nothing popped up to ask if I really want to cancel.
I actually hit the cancellation button 8 hours after the deal was closed. How is it possible that I'm able to cancel a deal after the deal has been closed?
Groupon does it way better! Living social doesn't make sense.
We allow consumers the opportunity to change their mind and cancel a deal up until the payment has processed. Due to the high volume of purchases that were made for this particular deal, it took longer than normal to process each credit card, thus extending the time one could cancel the deal.
Thanks for LivingSocial.

I have take the pain to report a lost credit card to control the damage.

I think the thing that everyone needs to remember is that LivingSocial and Groupon both just take the deals they think will sell, from whatever place they can coerce a good deal out. (Or at least that's my impression sometimes.) They don't necessarily seem to do a lot of research to make sure the company is "cool" and "flexible" or even that all employees know the deal. Sometimes that's okay, and the deal is good anyway.
In order to make sure you have a good experience, research the place you're getting the service from first.
I've gotten good deals from LivingSocial, but after researching a couple others and deciding not to buy, I definitely understand why some people would have lousy experiences.
We do our best to research all of our merchants before we run a deal with them; however, though rare, we can hit a few bumps in the road. We appreciate your comments, it's feedback from our consumers that allow us to improve our site.
Thanks for LivingSocial!

Horrible, no order confirmation, nothing. Just collected my information and that it. Watch out!
We apologize for the delay from yesterday's deal. Due to the high volume of purchasers, it is taking our system a little longer than normal to send e-mails. We are working our hardest to get those to you as early as possible. Thanks for your patience!

Wow - I'm surprised to see all the negative reviews. Maybe it makes a difference which city you are getting the deals in -- I've had a great experience with the Minneapolis deals. I've gotten about 10 deals and the only one I had a problem with was easily dealt with and I got a refund. It was a mis-wording of the specifics of the deal and when I talked to the service provider and got the real details I realized the deal was not what I wanted. I then contacted Living Social and got a refund check back in a few weeks. No hassle, no trouble. And I've gotten a variety of other deals (services, a hotel night, restaurants / bakeries) with perfect results. I happily recommend them to friends. Hopefully they'll get their act together in certain areas that other folks are having real trouble with.
Glad you are getting in on some great deals!
Thanks for LivingSocial!
I signed up with Living Social about a month ago and received a $5 credit towards my next deal. I used it on an Amazon gift card purchase. When I looked at my bank statement the next I noticed I had been charged full price for the deal. I'm not the only one this happened to. It seems that Living Social changed the fine print after they realized so many people were getting a $20 dollar gift card for $5. I emailed them and they sent me this response: "With each deal that we run, it is per the discretion of LivingSocial which promotional opportunities, such as Deal Bucks, Me + 3 and Refer a Friend, will be applicable."
I guess that means that Living Social does what Living Social wants to do even if it means they screw over their customers!
We are aware of the situation and are working to correct that.
Individuals affected will be notified with a solution via e-mail.

I purchased 2 gift certificates for a friend for a 2 hr house cleaning from Atlanta Cleaning and Janitorial. My friends just mailed the gift back to me, because they have tried to contact this cleaning services many times trying, leaving detailed messages, trying to use their gift from me, and never got a call back. They were upset and frustrated. Needless to say I was very embarrassed because it had been a gift from me.
I tried to call this cleaning service a few days ago, left a message, and still have not received a return call from them.
To add insult to injury, I have tried to contact LivingSocial to get a refund, and have not found a contact number or e-mail for them. HELP... Can anyone tell me how to contact LivingSocial customer Service? Thanks!
I purchased a one-hour teeth whitening at Radiant Smiles for half the normal price. Unfortunately I only recieved half the service, a 30 minute procedure and several calls from the office to reschedule my appointment. I guess if it looks to good to be true, it probably is, I was very disappointed.
Answer: I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone. A total nightmare. They take your money don't send the goods and they don't answer e mails
Answer: There do seem to have been some financial problems with many of the deals from Living Social. But when I had a problem they answered the phone and it was dealt with quickly and the goods resent.
Answer: Have you contacted the customer service at Livingsocial.com? I have found them to be pretty responsive in the past. This is a seperate review site.
LivingSocial is a leading "daily deal" site that sells discounted experiences and local services--restaurants, spa trips, home services, travel, etc.--via voucher. The consumer must pay for the voucher upfront, and the voucher generally must be used within a specified time period or it cannot be redeemed. To make these deals possible, LivingSocial sells merchants on its ability to help "find and keep more customers". LivingSocial is a private company based in Washington DC and its shareholders include Amazon.com.
We apologize if you had a negative experience with LivingSocial. It's comments from users like you that help us to improve the service we provide.
