Disappointed
September 5, 2021

First time shopper. I ordered jumper in two sizes wanted to make sure one would fit. As im planning for my sons wedding. Received and neither one fit to my disappointment. Tried to contact customer service for ticket to return and received a reply made to order cannot receive refund. I'm the only working parent my husband is disabled and do not freely spend over $350 freely. Very disappointed with customer service policy and product.

Beware! Scam!

Absolute shame that I placed an order on June 6,2023 and its already July 15 and I have not received my order of 1 painting. They promised me delivery in 3 - 5 working days and today its a month and a half with zero response from them. All they have to say is that they will check with their local courier and revert. Their local courier company is non existent as I have tried calling and emailing them several times with zero response!
100% scam! Beware!

Light in a box clothing store. 0 stars

I order 3 dresses. They were going to take too long to get to me (1 month). I cancelled before it was processed and they are only refunding me 50% of my refund. They claim the dresses are custom and tailor made. This is wrong, I clicked a size! No measurements were sent. Terrible and I will never order again.

Do Not Use!

The most awful shopping experience to date. I ordered a pair of cargo shorts in good faith. They took a month to arrive and came up as a tight fit. When I tried to return the item they explained that they come straight form the factory in China and are based on Chinese sizes. What has that got to do with sizes? A 34" waist in the UK doesn't change in China! The returns policy is to give them to a friend or relative due to the return costs not being viable.
I will not use this company again and I highly recommend any readers to stay clear.

The problems you've raised will be considered as very grave. I saw that you've ordered several items. Are you unsatisfied with all the items? Can you please let me know which of those you wish to return? The package left our warehouse on the 16th of July, was available for collection merely 8 days later. According to Royal Mail it waited another 4 days to be picked up. In addition, a return ticket can be requested with just a few mouse clicks from within your account. There aren't any tickets to be found under your account. You would have received a confirmation and reply within 24h from a customer service representative to help you handle this.

We have sent you an email (ticket #24129915) to help you resolve this problem. I stand by that we can help you obtain a refund without too much effort!

Ordered a black dress in 2 sizes, didn't like them, contacted to get a return shipping label. They told me they were custom made for me (not true) so they could not take them back. I have "contacted the supervisor" so we will see if they can figure out how to read. Until then, I would not recommend this site to anyone. Ever.

Their service is excellent, and products really well made. I ordered custom dance shoes and am really thrilled with them. The first pair was sent as the wrong size. Light in the Box remade them and sent a new pair- free of charge. Very impressive! I ordered some of their TS line clothing, but beware: it's for the Asian market and runs about 2 sizes too small. I'm a Med. And the only thing that fit was an XL. It's all really well made, though. Order 2 sizes large...

Crappy headphones
May 31, 2020

We purchase a gaming headset for my son and he was waiting anxiously for them. We didn't receive a confirmation or order number but did get a paypal confirmation that the funds were withdrawn from my account within minutes. When they finally arrived the microphone did not work. I did contact PayPal to contact the seller and return the merchandise.
Moral of the story: read company reviews before wasting money and time on items that don't work.

HORRIBLE! SCAMMERS!

If I could rate below 0 I would! This is a horrible site whose sole purpose is to steal your money. The dresses look cheap and of poor quality and if you want to return your dress they will find a way to scam you. They say it's like 20-40$ to return to their china headquarters but really its more like $80, but the material is so ugly that it is not worth keeping. These are international scammers BEWARE!

My experience with " LightInTheBox" is very good

My experience with " LightInTheBox" is very good. They are responsible, protect interest of customers, and sellers. In the end everybody is satisfied. The only thing, I would give an objection is, for example, if one bag cost on sale 5 dollars, shipment for that bag is 42 dollars, so is not worth it. On the other hand, there are free shipping items... To conclude, in my experience doing business with light in the box, was very good as I already sad on the beginning.

Misadvertised
January 11, 2017

In December 2016, I ordered two dresses and two coats from light in the box. The dresses were made from very cheap, thin materials that were falsely advertised. One even had a pattern on it that was not on the picture. The coats have shoulders too small to be worn (yet I ordered the correct size for every other company in Europe.) When the package arrived I was charged 35 for shipping (on top of the shipping cost when I paid for the items.) This was absolutely terrible, avoid at all costs.

Do not order from here EVER! The worst site for online shopping. I can understand that it happen not to receive an item, but the way it was handled was awful. They sent me same message to wait for 2 months and then again to wait another 20 days. So they don't care, they just want to get rid of you. Of course, I won't see my money or package anymore. Do not order from here, it's the best advise I can give to somebody.

Shoes

I have received my order but think it took too long to arrive.
Also not satisfied with two pair of shoes I ordered.
One pair had a strap too short and I could not tie it.
And the other pair I could not zip the right shoe in the back cause too tight.
I will not order anymore yet because I am on vacation now in the US for the winter and will be going back home soon..

The product I ordered was faulty. It took ages to get through to them to take my complaint seriously (the ticket arrangement is very impersonal) - it is almost impossible to speak direct, but eventually after many weeks of frustration I did finally receive an email from a human person and they refunded the full amount. It was hard work, but I did agree I would upgrade my rating for them from a 1 star. Thank you to the helpful lady who took the time to email me and took my complaint seriously.

Do not use these people - they rip you off! I ordered and then within 2 mins used the cancel button. Because of their laziness, they did not cancel the order even though they have responded to say they that it had been dispatched which i would say is an absolute lie. What is worse the defensiveness and lack of customer service during this process has been terrible with still no solution except for just closing my ticket. I am now left with a costume I do not want and arrive 10 days after the event which is why within 2 mins when they finally advised of how long the order would take, I cancelled. Do not use this company. It got worse. I then got a rude response to say do not use auto email box as a response to my online review of which I used their review function online. This company has some serious customer service issues.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM

Horrible customer service, only try to pacify you with extra discount on next order, do not follow their own shipping and delivery policies, slow delivery. Poor cheaply made clothes that are not sized correctly. If you want to return, the charge you shipping again and make you jump thru hoops to get an address to send to and you must do it within 7 days. Do not communicate thru customer service just auto messages. Better off ordering from Shein

Summer shirts
March 28, 2024

I ordered 3 shirts for summer and I'm really happy with the products. All lightweight materials and true to size. I asked for the shipment 2 days early because one of the shirts is an Easter themed shirt and it was scheduled for delivery a day after Easter. I made the request and received the order a week before Easter! Yay!

Never got the package

Ordered a t-shirt... never received... customer service giving some random tracking number. Local mail denying the tracking number. Its a headache... lost money. Time... and there is a language barrier... not recommended.!

This customer ordered 100 Masks back in April. Was authorized and agreed to pay an express fee for express
Mail. (1) The merchandise arrived about a month late and (2) The masks are 'terribly manufactured'. Made in China. And totally inferior. So far almost every single mask has the string holding the mask to your face --come apart. They are glued to the mask with an inferior glue-- (not sawn on), and with the slightest tug or adjustment the string breaks... The masks are unusable. A total waste of money. Caveat Emptor.

I was not pleased with the quality of the cargo pants. They are more about fashion (though poor at that) than function. The zipper is just for looks. There are only two "cargo" pockets. The fabric is way too light. The bottom part of the leg has these rings hanging on fabric that have no function. When I tried to return them, there was no easy way to find the return or exhange section. I had to chat three times and still am told I have to wait 24 hours after a return ticket is initiated to access the return address! There are no instructions on the return ticket when it's initiated. I will have to log into my account 24 hours later. I won't be ordering from this company again.

I ordered gloves on 19 November and paid immediately. These were shipped on 26-27 November. I complained twice and was told to wait until 24 December. The delivery time is 20 business days from shipping so the product should have arrived by 24 December. It is 24 December but my gloves are still not received in time for being a Christmas gift. Tammy from lightinthebox has just arranged a full refund and a replacement of the gloves to be sent immediately.
