Terrible

Customer service is inefficient. Period. The models we received I believe may be used or just lemons. We bought brand new. Lg thin stackable washer and dryer. Washer leaks down front of it. Dryer is now leaking and large AMT of hair and dust coat the inside rim and room on door. Rep came out... very rude and unhelpful. I've posted pics. Home Depot very gracious in trying to get another rep out with no assistance from lg.

Bought an LG Refrigerator just under 10 years ago, the appliance stopped cooling so I called LG customer service to see if my 10 year warranty covers it they said it's out of warranty which doesn't make sense because it's a 10 year warranty and I had it for 9. I ended up paying a flat fee for $400 had a tech from Alberta appliances to come in and repaired it, 17 days after there was another error (f dh) I called LG and they denied to fix and wanted to charge me another flat fee if $400 to have the tech come in again. They said the issue is not related to the previous issue and won't cover the cost. I hear from a lot of my friends their LG appliances stopped working for them after a few years also and going through their LG customer service and policy is horrific all they wanted to do is make more money of you. Never ever again will I buy another LG product! Bad appliances defective and not functional.

I purchased my entire kitchen through ABT, which was all LG appliances. Within the first couple years, the refrigerator compressor burned out and the stove also burned out. Recently, the dishwasher motor has burned out. This was diagnosed over the phone through LG and ABT appliances by the error code that was displayed and the burnt motor smell coming from the unit. Fortunately, the dishwasher motor has a 10 year warranty but LG, and ABT refuse to replace the motor or swap it out, unless I pay a service fee and wait multiple weeks for a tech to come out even though I work on these machines all the time, and I am fully capable of replacing the motor myself. I want customers to be aware that LG appliances do not last longer than a couple years before they will need service. After talking to a tech, I was informed that there is a class action lawsuit against LG for their refrigerators and in his experience LG appliances are not worth the money and will continue to cost you money as long as you own them. Also I'd like to add while on the phone with LG customer service to see if they would replace the motor or swap it out or at least give me a discount on it even though it's warranted so I can get the repair done sooner I was hung up on unknowingly and stayed on the line for 30 minutes before hanging up.

Dishwasher Repair

I have contacted LG in regards to a recall on my dishwasher. Have been transferred to several different people and told several different companies to call to repair my dishwasher. All repair companies given do not service my address. Called back and was told I needed to pay $299 for a service technician to come out from LG. The company cannot give me a tech in the area and now want $299 to send someone to my home that might or might not show up. Terrible customer service. Last LG product I will ever purchase.

I ordered a new refrigerator directly from LG partly because the website and customer service advised a specific delivery date. When I called to confirm that date the day before I was told that the date I had been given was 1- the date the refrigerator would be delivered to the delivery service and 2- it was estimated and could be as much as a week after that date. Obviously the delivery date was critical since our old fridge died. If I had been given accurate delivery information, I would have purchased a refrigerator which could have delivered sooner. Customer service was pathetic, repeating the same unhelpful information over and over again. And the icing on the cake was when I asked to speak to a supervisor they told me that I would get a call back within 48 hours, 24 hours after the promised delivery. I will never buy anything from LG again.

Planned to not last

It appears that GE decided to get in bed with LG and have appliances made in South Korea. Its also appears that the appliances are built to last 5 years which is just past the point of the warranty. I purchased a LG refrigerator in January of 2019. I have a five year warranty. The warranty is with a third party CPS which is also probably owned by GE or LG. I have not had a refrigerator for over 4 days and all i get is lip service. Send us the invoice, what is your name, agree to our terms, etc.

The Good: We loved the features and design of our new LG French Door fridge.
Not So: What we didn't love was that it was underpowered nor that it failed miserably at 13 months.
We also didn't love that the appliance salesman never mentioned that LG had lost a class action suit for faulty refrigerators. Because of the class action suit, our 1 year warranty was extended.
After 11 days without a working refrigerator, the LG service technician was able to correct the problem (inadequate compressor which was replaced with a larger unit - LG known issue). Service was ok - just slow. Come to find out LG feels that repairs to refrigerators completed within 30 days of the service call is satisfactory

In 2019 I purchase at Brandsmart USA my entire kitchen appliances Lg brand. Thursday they are coming to fix the refrigidator is not cooling. Only 2 years old. My food is bad I lost money. I do not recommend this product. Thank God I have extended warranty. They take too long to come and fix it. I have diabetes medication that needs to be refrigidated. My neighbor is holding it for me. Brand new stove. The top oven will not heat. There was no serial number on the oven when it arrived. A tech came out three times to try and repair. He could not fix it and recommended it be replaced. The tech also verified to LG that it was new and there was no serial number on the unit. We did have a serial number on the paperwork. We spent 5 months trying to resolve this issue with LG. The presidential liaison group told us we had reached the top and that they would not replace the oven. So we now have a brand new oven that does not work and WE have to pay for replacement. LG does not honor their products. We have been treated very bad and will never buy or recommend LG again.

Stove Range

I bought the stove range with them and less than a year; the counterpart glass cracked and they said that it was physical damage and they won't replace or repair it. Even if they do send out a repair person; it is on your own expense. I work for the Fire Department and we have ordered a few stove range and they all have the same problem; counterpart glass cracked. I have assumed the customer service that I will never order another LG brand for the Fire Department and for my house.

LG Diswasher I do not recommend this product to anyone. Ours was trash after 14 months. Start button didn't work. No help from customer service from the Philippines! They put you on hold and then hang up the phone. The warranty was over after a year we agreed for to pay a flat rate fix for $300
Tech came but didn't have the right part changed different part he was sure that was going to solve the problem at the end he told us he can put it down we canceled the appt that way we will be able to get $125 back. I called the customer service again and again answering the same questions over and over again then they told us we have to wait 30 days to receive the part
This is ABSuRD

Don't order directly from LG
August 26, 2022

Ordered a fridge directly from LG expecting the best service. Delivery date was easy to schedule directly at time of order. First surprise came 2 days before the installation date when I received a message from XPO logistics and not LG. Day before the date was confirmed again. Later that day I received another message indicating a delivery date change by 2weeks! Called XPO and realized that they really don't care. Please read their reviews online. Current BBB rating is a D- ( used to be an F recently). Trustpilot 1.2, Facebook 1.0, …. Called LG and they just mentioned that this is their contractor and nothing they could do. Terrible experience even before getting my product. Would never order from LG again.

We purchased an LG dryer on June 12th from Lowes. On June 21st the dryer stop heating and sparked a fire in the outlet. We only had the dryer for 11 days and it almost burnt our house down. This is the worst appliance I have ever purchased. The customer service is horrible! Someone was supposed to come out to the house to look at the dryer and NEVER showed! Called customer service talk to 10 different ppl and 3 hung up the phone. I have now contacted my Lawyer to get this issue resolved. I will NEVER purchase an LG product again! Neither will my family and friends. Don't purchase any of these products!
Rating is a horrible!

Horrible Product

LG tech wasn't a good one. Told me nothing he can do everything states it's fine. Yet clothes don't dry. He wasn't a good person to come to my home. The product is faulty and no one stands by it. Run from this company and learn from my mistakes

LG service center cheated me and charged me a hefty amount for repairing my AC which is still not working. This AC was repaired twice under AMC in 2018 and later. This time in 2021 repair was carried out in batches. First, they changed PCB and gave me the bill, the second time, after ten days, they changed the indoor unit coil and shared the bill, again after ten days, they changed the outdoor unit coil and shared the third bill; repeatedly thrice, I wrote to the escalation team and every time they canceled my service request as I refused to pay any more money for repairing this AC. I will surely file a case against this unethical practice by LG and publish my case in leading newspapers so that other customers should know about this. The escalation team is also a dummy and useless.

Misleading warranty
August 17, 2020

The compressor on my LG LFX******* fridge died after 7.5 years. Certified tech came and inspected after 2.5 weeks with no fridge and told us the compressor would be cover however there would be 265.00 in additional parts and labor would be 650.00 so 900.00 for my 7.5 year old fridge that has a 10 year warranty on part that broke. Will NEVER buy LG product again

Spent 3k on a TV. Been 2 and 1/2 weeks and still no TV. Have called multiple times this week and have been told they would contact me back asap to give me information on why I haven't received it yet. Just called again and was told to call back tomorrow because the shipping company is closed. I am so close to canceling my order and never going with lg again. Customer service is non-existent at this place

LPG's support is nonexistent! I've been waiting for a call back since January 2nd and it never happens. I call we go through all the same crap every call they say we have to escalate this and they will call me back... and to date. 1/26/2020 no return call and still not working

They will not solve your problems in one visit and they will not come again because first visit validity of 3 months, in 3 months they can't charge you for visit. They will not visit you there customer care engineer will block your number
I will not buy any LG product in my life and never suggest to any one in the world

Bad remote control after purchase

Disappointing customer service for an LG Tv we just bought! No help whatsoever and condescending staff "oh just go to this other store to BUY the faulty remote, it's not that expensive " already went to this store three times trying to get the faulty remote fixed! As far as I am concerned anything in the TV box is under WARRANTY! It was used for 1 month only! How you do one thing is how you do EVERYTHING! Not shopping here again! Little do they know am still in the market for other items. I Strongly advice LG customers to be aware of this act being perpetrated by the LG company.
