People do not waste money on LG appliances, especially their refrigerators; you're paying for the looks, Not the quality. We purchased the kitchen suit back in 2019, and the quality is horrible, and their customer service is a nightmare.

We only had our refrigerator for over a year before we started having problems. It's now been a little over two years, and tech has serviced four times. We had the dishwasher serviced twice and the stove three times. We had purchased the LG extended warranty. Call to make an appointment because our refrigerator wasn't getting cold. The rep said the earliest tec was two weeks out.
Ok, we made the appointment, and guess what? No technician showed. My husband called LG to inform them that the technician hadn't arrived; someone from LG said that someone had been trying to reach him to let him know they had to reschedule the appointment, which wasn't true. My husband had no missed calls or voicemails from LG. We had to wait four more days before the technician came out. When the technician arrived, he stated that a new compressor was needed and that we had to pay to fix the problem. My husband explained to him that we have an extended warranty. The technician said he wasn't aware of it. WHAT! This information should have been in his notes before he arrives—lack of communication. The tech said that he had to put in an order for and compressor. On August 24, the tech installed a new compressor. The tech I formed us to wait 24 hours before it started to cool. Guess what? The refrigerator stopped working!

Update. On Aug 26th called LG once again. One of the reps informed us that the most accessible appointment would be September 1st. Which would be six days out, and they claim this is an emergency appointment. I will never buy another LG applianc

BUYER BEWARE!
June 24, 2021

I have been dealing with ongoing issues regarding a warranty claim for nearly 5 months, and have spent endless hours in contact with LG to have received little to no support whatsoever.

We purchased a LG refrigerator through Costco, the compressor failed within the 1 year warranty period and we lost all of the food in our fridge and freezer as a result. LG sent a repair technician who deemed it could not be repaired. After a month of numerous calls to LG and literally going in circles trying to get some sort of response they arranged for a replacement fridge to be sent. Their delivery company showed up with a completely unwrapped fridge, with no cardboard or even protective film on the outside. The fridge had significant damage to the stainless steel on every door, the display panel is rippled, and had what appeared to be large blotches of grease sprayed up one side. The delivery company advised for us to note the damage and unwrapped condition of the fridge on the delivery paperwork and advised us LG would take care of any needed repairs - note we had been without a fridge for a month at this point. We made note of the damages on the paperwork as advised.

We connected the water source ourselves, ensured there was no leaking and then pushed the fridge back into place. 2-3 days later on March 2nd, 2021 I found water leaking from the exhaust fan in our basement washroom, that was directly below the fridge. We found the water to be coming from inside the fridge, not from the connection itself. LG was again contacted and sent a repair company, who found that the valve inside the fridge was incorrectly installed and missing two parts, that would have resulted in the leaking from the interior valve and explained why the leak was intermittent and would not have been detected. They returned and repaired the valve, and took additional photos of the damage to the fridge exterior to send them independently to LG. Estimates to repair the damages to our home are approximately $5000.

Since that time we have again had to place countless calls to LG to elicit any kind of support. Eventually, 3 months later on June 2nd, I finally received a communication from LG providing me yet another claim statement for completion and requesting additional information. They at that time advised that the exterior damage was 'cosmetic' and that because we allowed delivery, and even though we noted it on the delivery receipt, they would not be repairing any of it. Once I provided the completed claim statement, repair estimates, and additionally requested information I was advised that the issue would now be passed to the liability team in the US and will take another 1-2 months to be processed. The contact I had been dealing with in Canada indicated that I could reach out to her if I were to have any additional questions, but now has blocked emails from me so we are literally back to square one with no contact information with anyone to follow up with.

DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT. DO NOT BUY THIS UNIT! DO NOT! This WM6998HBA 5.0 cu. Ft. Mega Capacity Smart WashCombo All-in-One Washer/Dryer has serious functionality issues. It takes a minimum of 3 hours to dry a very small load, and even then the clothing is damp. It has no lint trap, so if you have pets or even a hamster or even hair yourself this machine will not remove lint or hair. In fact, the clothes come out worse than when I put them in. I have to use a lint roller on every clothing article, and the cleaning of the rubber seal around the door after each use is grueling. I didn't understand the function of "ventless." The idea is cool, but in reality it does not function efficiently. It uses so much more electricity due to the extreme long "damp" drying time.

After 5 hours on the phone back and forth (NO JOKE) LG refused to approve a return. They continued to blame Home Depot and Home Depot blamed LG. LG will NOT stand behind this product.

I begged LG to exchange it for an even more expensive stackable unit and they refused. LG doesn't care about customer satisfaction. I have never in my life (64 years) dealt with such an inflexible, uncaring, merciless company.

I spent so much time on the phone I was able to talk to the person right underneath the president of LG. I was completely devastated that she showed less than zero concern for my disappointment in a flawed product that they manufacture.

Bottom line- LG is a ruthless company and cares nothing for the customers. This WM6998HBA
5.0 cu. Ft. Mega Capacity Smart WashCombo All-in-One Washer/Dryer has some serious issues with extremely long drying times, your clothing is not ready-to-wear fresh out of the machine. You will need to purchase tons of lint rollers, a special rubber seal cleaner, and have lots of time to wash the smallest of loads.

Let me start by saying if I could give a rating of less than 1 ( one) I would have.
Our Microwave which was just 14 months old stopped working and we were directed to The Video Factory at Southport who took 2 weeks to look ( we were told that the machine would take a week to repair when we dropped it off) at the machine and once they did ordered the required parts from LG Australia.
I contacted The Video Factory 1 week later to be told that they had ordered the parts required. One week later I again contacted The Video Factory ( mind you it will take 3 to 4 phone calls to speak to anyone and don't bother leaving a message because they never call back) who told me that 3 of the 4 parts required were being sent by LG. When I asked when the 4th part would be available they had no idea, so I contacted LG directly to try to get an answer, which was 7 weeks in the future they thought they would have the required part.
Over the next 2 weeks I contacted LG Customer Service 7 times to get a better resolution, I was told they would call me back and surprise they did not.
Eventually they agreed to arrange a store exchange for a new item from where I purchased the item and 5 phone calls later chasing LG Customer Service up because the store had not received any communication from LG.
Today the store ( Domayne at Bundall - great support) communicated with us to confirm they had eventually received notification.
Our family have been loyal supporters of the LG brand ( Air conditioners, fridges, washing machines, dryers and 3 large screen TVs) but this experience has turned me off ever buying another LG product and I have no hesitation in warning anyone who reads this BUYER BEWARE of this brand, because a brand is only as good as it's back of house support.

We purchased a TV in November 2021 and within 2 months, a white area appeared on the screen. My husband contacted LG on 1/20/22 for a repair request. No word, so I contacted LG again (spoke with Lin) on 2/9 and was told the repair company was waiting on LG for approval of the repair costs. There was still no word from LG, so I called again on 2/17 (spoke with Lin), which is when I was told there is no repair company to fix the TV and my claim would be submitted to upper management for refund or replacement. I was supposed to be contacted 3-5 business days from that date with information to process my refund/replacement. Still no word from LG, so I called AGAIN on 2/28 (spoke with Kim). This time I was told my claim was never submitted to upper management and that it needed to be done. It would take 7-10 business days for a reply. Again no word from LG, so I called back on 3/2 (spoke with Elle) for a status update. My claim was processed incorrectly (for the second time) on 2/28, so it needed to be submitted for a third time. I was connected to a supervisor (Chris) who supposedly submitted the claim correctly this time and I should hear from someone in 3-5 business days. It was at this point that I emailed the LG president and was contacted by one of the presidential customer service representatives - Sharonda. She also submitted the claim and assured me that someone would be in contact with me in 3-5 business days to process my refund. Did I get any information? Absolutely not. I contacted Sharonda via text for an update on 3/10 and was told my claim was submitted and awaiting approval. I called LG and spoke with RJ (supposedly a supervisor) who stated this claim was submitted today (3/10). I was transferred to the refund/replacement department and spoke with Sundra, who told me the refund was authorized and that my case agent, Camaya Leneer would contact me by EOB on 3/10, which did not happen. Now I'm waiting again, with no resolution to my claim. Terrible service

Purchased Signature Suite of appliances for new kitchen less than 6 months ago. Now on a first name basis with repairman. Twice for fridge and once for dishwasher. Last night could not turn off the "convection" mode on oven. Tried as advised in owners manual and ended up on the phone with "customer service". Call taker had heavy accent making clear communications almost impossible. After a short few minutes she said she would transfer me to "Signature representative". Five long minutes later i got a recorded message saying "due to the corona virus our customer service centers are understaffed. We will not be able to assist you at this time".

I got an LG tv less than a year and a half ago and now a vertical line suddenly shows up on the screen in certain blue hues. I called LG and they had me do a screen test and text them a bunch of pictures and immediately agreed that the entire panel needed replacing BUT that I'd have to pay the repair with a local company off their list…. The companies I was given either didn't answer, had a disconnected phone, have terrible online reviews, had an attitude issue. Finally I got one to give me a price, almost $400 without tax. I begged LG to cover the labor cost because I didn't do anything do damage the TV and all they could tell me is that their 5 year warranty only covers parts, but within the 1st year they would've covered labor too. Despite it being a defective product. So I'm expected to pay $400 plus tax out of the blue, terrible service and limited sympathy. They weren't kind about it either.

I bought a fridge. 2 years later. Supposedly the freezer fan died. It is a fan. It's only purpose is to spin.

No ice, or frost. But, "somehow" its dead.

Buy a fan to cool your house? Lasts forever...

So, how does a fan. Die. 2 years later. With no hinderance? Tell me...

LG has a class action lawsuit about this.

Why? Fridges before did not have computers that can time when, "parts break down".
