I Put up some stuff for sale, and got a very difficult buyer, didn't know that at first, sold her really good items i had like in new condition, and still she wanted the items cheaper and everytime she came to pick up product she was always short on money, sorry but I don't need the money, just trying to make a few dollars, I'll have a hard sale in the spring and sell it. A lot of strange people. LOL
I have never seen so many nuts in my life and ******* questions and then they blow you off. Tire kickers would be a polite way of putting it. I don't want to meet anyone to sell stuff too, I almost soon as throw in dump as to deal with this site and people.
Its just another $#*!ing Google site that will not allow you to use it unless you give every last detail of who you are. This social media $#*! is going too far now. You can't even sell $#*! unless you download the app, giving them access to everything on your phone. Just absolute garbage!
Great idea... have bought things here... however, posting things for sale is nothing but frustrating. Entering more than one picture or entering info on the product or pricing is unbelievable... will return to craigslist where it's a snap! I now know why so many things are posted with no info! Looked for Let Go manual... no info.
This thing is nothing but bots. At about the same time each night I get one or two queries about an item I have up for sale. Nothing more, no response after that. They are either paid employee's or scripted bots trying to make you think this app is active.
For one everyone tries to get stuff from you for super cheap. I offer an expensive item for only $100 and people ask if I can lower the price. It angers me. And then the app keeps doing pop ups asking if I want to pay X amount of money so my ad gets seen more, seriously? I remember using this app a long time ago and they never asked for money and I actually sold stuff then!
This app is horrible. I wish I would have found this site and read the reviews before I wasted my time posting. I get so many people asking if something is still available and then once I respond, never a word is said again. How do you deal with these chatters? I did sell 2 things but nothing else. Not worth you time and efforts.
Waste of time... super easy to post... but every customer reply mysteriously stop enquiring soon as they realize they can only pay when they pick something up. (Easiest way to weed out the scammers is by insisting on cash when picking up)
The code written is specifically designed so that the back button on a 'droid is very tight to the pre-generated "is it still available" send button. Also hardly ever does anyone respond when I tried to buy something. At least half the ads must be fake.
I get multiple automated requests amd requests for condition of the item I am selling or giving away for free. O feel like no one is actually reading my post, almost like its not real people replying. I think it is a big scam. I plan on taking down all my items I have posted asap
This is a big old waste of time. If you want to sell your stuff this is not the place, no one is buying just chatting about the items. I have had so many comments a couple folks that expressed interest and then when I followed up and/or responded to them... nothing. I have posted at least a dozen items, which I still have in my house!
This App SUCKS! Nothing but scammers! They want you to ship the item to them in another state while they claim to pay you an extra $100 for shipping using PayPal. Then there's people who just favorite your item and do nothing. Then I had a person that said they wanted to buy my item for $200 when it's listed for $800! They knocked off $600 bucks they crazy! Never using this site again.
I have posted multiple items and each time had the same experience. Someone would connect. Ask a bunch of questions, ask for pictures and using eerily similar tone drops off. Too much of coincidence. Deleting the app.
Easy to use and I like that messages are in real time - no waiting. A few issues Ive had is the app deletes history out of the blue and also unable to reply to messages, so have to shut down and reboot or wait. It also does not allow you to post a group of things altogether and again separately because somehow it recognizes the item and automatically deletes the ad. Frustrating! Also, it keeps reading addresses as phone numbers and blocks house numbers so people have to keep asking for the address.
I had an appointment with someone who said she wanted to buy my item today. I told her that I was at the place where we agreed to meet and on time but she didn't show up. I was attempting to give her my phone number when she blocked my message. Won't make that mistake again. This should not be a reflection on Let go but a warning to the kind of people you may encounter.
I posted a number of items for sale for a variety of prices, all of which were negotiable even though they were reasonably set. One potential buyer followed up despite lots of "likes" and inquiries. Seems more like a social media platform using stuff. Sold everything the old fashioned way, neighbors and word of mouth. Letgo was a waste of time.
Every time i try to update my description the damn "share on facebook" option returns to being "ON". This is obviously because the makers of this app know more will sell if you post on facebook, but I don't want to solicit my friends.
So, if i edit my description and forget to turn that setting off, my edits get discarded. This is extremely frustrating to say the least.
At first, the interface seems nice and fast. Just use a photo and enter a price. Bam. But then, you really need to go in and put a title and description in place, and that is at the point where I want to pull my GD hair out.
I have sold many items on Kijiji & Craigslist every time we move. I have been using Letgo for many months now & find the people responding are either not really interested or want it given away. I have even posted free items & they want it delivered! If you look at the times many of them respond to ads, it's the middle of the night. If you want to actually sell things and for a fair price don't waste your time responding to the majority who say "I'm interested " because they're not.
As best as I can tell, most of the sellers are the same and they are doing nothing but data mining. Ads are intentionally vague, requiring a buyer to ask the most basic questions: Example who sells a flat screen without the size, 32", 55", etc? Who sells a bed frame without the size? Twin, full, king or Queen? Majority of ads are like this. Once you make contact asking said questions, all communication stops. It's actually creepy.
The Letgo app and site is a total scam. The company spends millions on advertising and sets up bots or people to take interest in your item. All you get is."is the item still available?" I tired to sell three items and all the same. Eventually just listed on Craigslist and sold within a couple of day. Do not waste your time with this ridiculous company.
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
letgo has a rating of 1.8 stars from 839 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with letgo most frequently mention customer service, many people and phone number. letgo ranks 177th among Auction sites.
