Sheeple with no commitment
September 17, 2017

No one ever comes through. The automated response "is it still available? " hits your chat box 12 times a day and no one ever responds. If they do respond they lead you on for a day and a half wanting to meet and you never hear from them again. Only one person seemed particularly interested and kept trying to talk me down off a severely diminished price. The man insisted I was being an $#*! for a never opened item we bought for the kids and they didn't want, when we posted it for less than half store price. Terrible customers, no result.

Horrible horrible horrible! Please dont waste your time. Its so bad it should be shut down. Ive never experienced anything like this. Got over 20 inquiries about an item and every single one fell through. Then, got more inquiries about other items I was selling and the same thing. One word: craigslist!

So obviously a scam!
November 16, 2016

I posted two end tables I wanted to sell. I received a response back asking can I go cheaper. I did not even quote a price. I responded with that statement and the person stated oh I'm sorry no I think I'll pass. This automatically lead me to believe that they have bogus people responding to these postings that don't even take the time to read them. I immediately blocked the poster and deleted the app from my phone! What a waste of my time! This scam deserves a zero rating but I had to put a one star there just to post this.

I sell glass through a legitimate LLC. And out of the 100-plus people who have inquired on something, I have only sold 5 pieces total. I have been solicited by minors, and everybody wants a better deal then can be done in the real world. At least 30 of these people want to trade they're dirty glass for something new, 40 of them or more have tried to barter the price down to far below fair market value. There has also been at least 30 or 40 people who have asked about something, and never gotten back after I spend time and effort responding. Overall, I am relatively disappointed in the flake aspect of this app.

Terrible
October 21, 2019

LetGo apparently has a automatic ban system in place once you get enough reports on your account. I had an account I bought from and gave away stuff on for over a year with no problem. I tried to sell something and I was banned within a few hours. Anyone with multiple accounts can easily snuff out their competition with a few clicks. LetGo does not do manual ban reviews and customer service will not bulge when it comes to unbanning an account. Even when you did absolutely nothing wrong.

Everytime I advertised custom political humorous t-shirts that I design and produce, let go would remove them stating they were in bad taste?
Define bad taste, a piece of crap mattress with piss stains on it selling for 75.00 or a political t-shirt brand new listed for 7.50?

Used Let Go to try to give 7 or 8 things away FREE... Some nicer things... actually some with appraised value of over $100... just didn't have the time to try to sell them off... MANY folks interested, to the point of actually setting up times to meet / pick item up... fast forward a few weeks, and Salvation Army was the only one to meet their promised p/u time. I think I'd suggest having your own garage sale... and whatever is left call the ARC, Salvation Army, or Goodwill... It'll save you a lot of time and aggravation.

I dislike this app, deal with 3 phones, when driving to the location to meet them, none of them showed up. After that, they gave either good excuses or silent.
Waste of my time and effort to drive there...

I had many items listed with them and had a 5 star rating as a seller. I deleted the app though, because I kept getting messages from people who had accidentally hit the "I'm interested" or "Is this still available?" preset questions, but they didn't even know they had. I also don't like that they give you the "option" to receive marketing notifications, but if you turn the option off they turn it back on. I searched for 4 chairs months ago but was no longer in need of them, and months later I still was getting daily notifications about 4 chairs. I had removed that from my search history and turned the notification button off several times and they would just turn it back on. I will be using others apps for selling.
Oh! And they have 5 star rating in the App Store because if you try to submit anything else, it isn't accepted!

This ap is exactly what people say it is. Terrible! I'm convinced the customers who ask if an item is available are robots, not real people inquiring about actual merchandise. This ap has a review of 1.6 and I can see why. Find another ap because this one stinks. If LetGo was to find a way to have a filter that customers have to go through to prove they are serious about a product it might change their buyer/seller engagement. Good Luck LetGo, for now please delete my account.

I live in between two major metro areas with well over 2 million people and after 2 months have yet to sell anything on letgo. You get a lot of "Is this still available" then nothing. I think letgo is using bots instead of real people to boost their numbers and marketing. Waste of time!

If you're looking to sell somethings you don't need anymore, don't use this app. Some of the major issues I face were: 1. Placed my google map location 100 miles away so no one in my area contacted me. 2. Put my listing under "null". 3. No way to renew a post, so, after a few days I'm sure no one saw it anymore. 4. Actually had someone working for them tell me I should lower the price on my item. I ended up selling it in facebook marketplace instead at my original asking price. Then when I decided I didn't want to have the account anymore it was a nightmare figuring out how to delete it. When I finally found the contact us form and started filling it out to ask for a deletion, that's when the info on how to delete it came up. Guess what it was. Send a message to ask for a deletion. Terrible Experience, bad customer service, and horrible app.

By it's nature it is tailored to nothing but low baller scum, there is no way to post your item in anything but a very general category. When you first post you get hit up by the opportunist low baller scum trying to buy really cheaply so they can resell the products and make their measly little profit off it then after that your merchandise just moves farther down the list unnoticed.

Just posted for sale a bunch of children's books. Price was $40 dollars for 38 books with the picture. The post was removed because Letgo said it must comply with local law... WHAT. These guys suck. They make is so hard to sell anything with their tool.

Offer Up is way better
August 22, 2018

Just started using this selling app. It hard to search a particular item. When you search, it shows other things in the search. It's hard to search by price, category or distance. People also sell things way higher. It's frustrating as heck. Offer Up is 10 times better!

I listed some items for first time yesterday. Ive been selling online for ten years. I get some crazy $#*! 18 year old stalker threatening me for no reason so I told him off reported him and blocked him. I never liked the sites that tell where you live and all that. Im telling you if this $#*! comes over I will hurt him. And I will sue this company. His name is lil to funny... cant even spell.

I listed a couple of items on letgo and craigslist--same items on both sites at the same time. On CL, i received about a dozen or so inquiries by email, then sold both within five days of listing. During that time, in received only a *single* message on letgo ("is it still available?", to which replied "yes" heard nothing further) and which i learned later is a pre-written message activated by a single click from the app. In addition, CL while easy to use, had a better UI for me to input important features of the item like size, condition of the item (eg, "new", "slightly used"); letgo has no such fields.

I was quiet exited when I found out there was another local site where I could sell my products. I am myself self employed and I need these sales. So I figured low price items with no shipping was a great alternative to EBay.
Well after several months I m giving up, too many questions " is this item still available". Or is it negotiable? Well if it is still posted no need to ask. For some reason I lost different items and the system tells me that is a duplicate listing?.
And last I have never seen so many insecure people when time comes to buy. Too many questions for nothing.
Either make the site more professional or stick with EBay the champion of all.

Can't fix Stupid!
March 1, 2017

I've never had so much time wasted in my life. Half the people that want to buy tell you they dont have a car and want you to deliver it. Seriously? This isn't Papa Johns. A new moronic feature allows people to review you even of they didn't buy. Another issues, apparently druggies like the app too. Had a girl today slurring her words and was on something. Definitely meet in a public place.

Good gravy where to even begin.

As with the near 1000 other reviews, you can guess this is no different in being that this site is near a complete waste of time and will aggravate you every time you use it.

So many bugs and glitches, site is slow as molasses, and it is slap full of low IQ idiots that have no money to spend in the first place.

You could be selling a brand new top of the line computer system with accessories that is $1000 anywhere you look, for half that, and all you will get is morons offering you $100 - $200 at most. Sadly that's kind of overestimating it as more than likely you will get people begging for even lower than that.

Then there is the fake robot profiles set up to favorite your listing and send pre-generated responses to you.

This site is quite possibly the sickest joke ever released on the public.

Flake a$$ clowns with NO money
