It seems like if there's no activity on your account they send out an automatic message saying is your item still for sale to keep you linked to their site because when you reply back nobody's ever there answering you back.
Won't let me interact, keeps telling me my account is up for review (I just signed up), can't even like things - no response from mods explaining why I'm up for review. Useless app and the website sucks S... L... O... W
The worst app I have ever used. Constantly getting message I am interested and never hear from person again. Most posters gave no idea how to use app. They just take a picture and expect app to tell what it is.
They started using some automated selling service who keeps contacting you even though you blocked them out of a desire to keep things simple and hassle free. Allison, please give me a break and leave me alone to sell what I want when I want. Appreciate it thanks!
I kept getting messages from people who say they are interested in the items for sale. After a while I noticed that there was a pattern. Everyone expressed interest and then disappeared. I think it's just bots they have to make people think the app is doing well.
Ever since the latest update I can't read my messages. I get notified, I see there's something in the chats but that's it! It just buffers and spins forever saying 'connecting'. The whole point is communicating with buyers to make a sell. If I can't see their messages and communicate with them, then there's no reason to have the app on my phone. What a waste of time creating the posts and uploading pictures. Bye, you sorry a$$ app!
I've tried to purchase a stove, a refrigerator, a fan, and kitchen supplies - to no avail. Either I get, "oh, it's already sold, but here's something else." Only to find out it's already sold also. I also say I'm interested and either no one replies or they tell me they are selling it for their father, brother, mother, boss... and contact them. But if you're selling it for them, then why do I have to contact them in the first place. I ended up buying everything from Craigslist. Who knew Craigslist would be a hundred times easier.
Like a lot of ppl on this page, let go messages ppl that Im interested in items I had no intention of buying... only clicked on it so I could see what it was. Its embarrassing to have to message 10 ppl every morning that I did NOT send the text. Its got to the point that Im afraid to go on the app... since letgo sends messages on my behalf... Im afraid Ill have to text ppl every morning that it was a mistake. Thought I was clicking something inadvertently... but made SURE nothing was clicked and it still happens! And the notifications? ANNOYING. Emails? Everyday. I feel violated. Offer up you end up sifting through more junk, but its easier to use and not so intrusive. Craigslist? Its dangerous and full of weirdos and scumbags. Im back to amazon for the little stuff and offer up for the big stuff. No problems with either one of those apps.
I'm trying to sell my car but it will only let me post 1 out of 4 pictures. Every time I try to add the other 3 pictures to my post it only saves my post with 1 picture. This needs to be fixed, how is anyone supposed to sell stuff on let go if you have multiple pictures and yet can only post 1 picture of your item. When selling a car people want more than 1 picture but yet you guys are only letting me post 1 picture what is going on. This needs fixed as soon as possible or I'm deleting the app for good. Thanks.
Waste of time. Price not shown upfront until you click the item. Then the silly questions from would be interested people which don't bother reading the description with details of the item. The description should open up right away so people can see it. It does not, and people need to click on it to see the description. So no one does. Sellers watch out for scammers with friends that will stop to pick it up, etc. Selling may be better the old way of newspaper ad, Craigslist, Amazon or Ebay.
I totally though that this app would be much safer then Craigslist. Not! After posting up several dresses and shoes I don't wear I got some messages asking about the item but nothing legit. Just a waist of time. The cherry on the icing was I got a message for a dress. The person told me she wanted the dress. I told her I could meet her at a public place cash money or she can venmo me the payment what ever worked for me. Well no she wanted my full name address that she would send me a check and once the check clear she would have her seamstress pick up the dress from me. Mmmm yea I don't think so. Such a waist of time.
Yep, it's true. Try giving away an item for free on this app and there'll be interests but nobody every comes by to pick up the item. You're better of putting the free item on the side of the street and it'll get picked up a lot faster than working through the useless LETGO app. So far I've given away several free items to one legit user who was a decent person.
I've tried selling clothes, and phones and I get nasty perverts asking me for my used panties and asking if I want pictures of them, I've reported quite a few people and they do nothing about it what so ever. Highly upset with this.
I just tried Letgo for the first time. I put my BBQ grill on there with pictures. Got several messages first day. Sold it on day two to a nice firefighter. He paid cash and picked it up with his trailer. No complaints here.
I have had many people wanting to buy, but no one responds when it's time/the day to meet up and buy. This has happened on SEVERAL occasions. I hate this app. People want to low ball u by half the price if not more.
I had used it several times before with good results. I had sold what I was selling locally. Just need to be careful with people trying to scam you, and be patient with the rude people with no manners that want things for pennies and don't know how to negotiate in a courteous manner. Some people will leave you hanging, others will work out great. Ask lots of questions, be safe and be cautious.
There is no way of contesting and removing unfair reviews. I was flagged as a "scammer", after i sent a message to someone who posted a scooter with no info. I asked if it ran, if not did he have any idea what was wrong with it. He proceeded to bombard me with messages stating... it doesn't run, but you can sell it for parts for three times what he was asking. He continued to blast me with messages, so I simply said I would let him know if I decided to have a mechanic look at it. He went ballistic, and branded me as rude, scammer, obnoxious. There is no way of contesting review with Letgo and removing this slanderous label.
This app is horrible. When you post something for sale and someone asked about it they never follow through the talk you down on the price and if you lower it and ask them do they want it you never hear back. I have four items on sale for dirt cheap prices and haven't sold not a one of them. So I decided to research the app and found all these reviews that I should have found out before I used it. People don't waste your time it's a scam for what I don't now but no one ever buys anything
This app infuriates me. The people who want to buy items are very uneducated! I had an authentic luxury bag on there which is probably my mistake, and got offers less then 1/3 of my asking price. Then, someone got mad at me for not accepting their ridiculous joke of an offer! I then added on there that the price was NON NEGOTIABLE and still got very low ridiculous offers! Stay away from this waste of time unless you want to take barely anything for what you're selling.
I think people just sit around all day and ask you is this still available and then never respond people hours away ask you about your stuff with no intentions on buying it you report it and that site administrators do nothing I think they are behind it also what in the hell is wrong with people? Save yourself a lot of grief do not sign up for it
Answer: I worked as a reviewer for several sites and when they have very little reviews or no reviews people like me are paid to say how great they are. You can verify these in Amazon reviews some of them praise items like there is no tomorrow full pages of nice reviews. When you see the contradicting reviews go for the bad one is the honest one.
letgo has a rating of 1.8 stars from 839 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with letgo most frequently mention customer service, many people and phone number. letgo ranks 177th among Auction sites.
