I attempted to sell an iPhone, and when I pulled up to the location is was a dead end, I was approached by 2 people who were sketchy as hell, they wanted to hold the phone without showing me the money and I wasn't having it. I am a United States Marine and had my firearm in my pocket with my finger on the trigger because I had my family in the car. After 5 mins of going back and forth I withdrew myself from the situation got in the car and left. After pulling off I wrote the individual "Omar" a message stating that I was not the one to play games with or even think that they can get the upper hand on me. The next message sent really shocked me but made me even angrier. "if you wasn't wit your family I was gonna shoot you." I decided to write this review to let everyone out there know that there are people on this app that will hurt you over something as simple as a "cell phone" be careful and ALWAYS meet in a public place. If they're not willing to do that, don't be willing to sell them a damn thing. Good luck

I've been using Letgo to sell and buy for months. I'm only left to assume that my location has something to do with why most of my experiences have been positive. Of course this brings out the crazies, the junkies, and the creeps. So does Craigslist eBay and other like minded platforms. Use common sense. If someone asks you if it's still available, that doesn't mean this persons about to buy your item. It means they're scrolling through postings and asked about it. That's it. I get 200+ inquiry only messages a week. I also sell items frequently. I've been jerked around too, but for the most part, using my common sense and being polite, I've sold over $800 worth of stuff I didn't want/need anymore. But, that being said, I live in a college town that is notorious for its low crime rate. All in all, don't expect too much from this, use common sense, and read user reviews.

Calls dropped off to zero from CL so I tried Letgo. Got a lot of losers asking was stuff still available then they stopped texting. Most never read More Info so I knew they never read the details or location. Now that Letgo started charging for bump ups on 4/10/17 all the creeps have left. Not getting any response now. Expect Letgo is about to fold.
It's a pathetic website. I blocked over 250 losers and reported at least 100. Losers looking for something for nothing.

Waste of time. No one answers, if they do it's impossible to meet. Ppl don't actually wanna buy your stuff. They want it free or want to negotiate for sex or drugs. I don't care about your past time but getting msgs in the middle of the night for a bikini & going on about your sexual preference is inexcusable and uncomfortable. I don't entertain these talks but ppl just $#*! around and waste your time. Stupid app. Stupid users.
And for You saying give it a chance... I have, twice for a couple weeks at a time. Same bull$#*! both times. Haven't sold any items nor have I met someone to buy as they're too Busy or don't respond. Of course we're judging the site and we can because we experienced $#*!ty situations.

I was just on letgo and using the site/app to buy a nintendo 3ds. I found a couple of hits and contacted them, just to get a kid (chaporoned by his mother) selling me a broken 3ds. Pre-sale, everyrhing was fine and he even listed the product in "awesome working condition." Of course, let go barely neess product description so I didnt find that out until I chatted with the user. After lying to me in chat about the integrity of the product, we met up that same day where I paid him $100 cash just to find out a couple hours later the 3ds was broken. It was an obvious break, and well as heavy cosmetic scuffing, showing that this kid didnt give a f*** and just wanted to sell his $#*!. Now, as I'm in the process of trying to contact him and get my money back, he wont answer. For all I know, since that was the only product he listed, he deleted the app/ signed out of the site and doesn't need to even bother. On top of that, there's no one that I can contact in our thats a party of letgo to fix this problem. I literally have to wait for this user to (hopefully) respond and see if he's willing to fox his mistake or not

This site has nothing nice whatsoever. Everybody on it sends you the template asking "is it still available" obviously it's still available. If you have a nice item, you get messages from lowlifes bashing your product, saying they would never pay that. People sell clothes with stains, broken down cars, everybody on here from Pittsburgh is from the crappy parts of town. I'm guessing it's like this everywhere. Don't waste your time. Craigslist and eBay is a better option any day if the week

They pulled my listing and still won't tell me why. Just generic "you may have violated our rules." What rule was violated? I cannot get into my account and now I'm told that the developers "found a glitch" and are working on fixing it. Sure, I believe you, LetGo, I mean, you only jerked me around for weeks and I still cannot get into my account.

Most of the complaints here are about buyers. This is another Craig's List, Etsy, Ebay type of forum. As a seller, you must be cautious. I was getting a lot of hits on the house I'm trying to sell and the total lack of customer service by LetGo is extremely frustrating.

I put four items out either for sale or for free and the only "BUYERS" who seem to TROLL letgo listings are LYING SCUMBAGS whose only preoccupation is to JERK YOU AROUND! They chat BACK AND FORTH on and on and on, MAYBE arrange to meet or pick up (it's ALMOST ALWAYS that they don't have a car/truck/van for a large item and they expect YOU to deliver a BULKY OR FREE ITEM TO THEM and then they either don't finalize the pick up or never show up!

I don't understand this app at all. I posted 16 different items and have received over 100 responses and not one sale. I'm not sure what people are looking for. "Is it for sale?" Response "yes" then never a response after that. Or, would you take $50? Response "yes" then no follow up again. It's like this app only serves for people to ask if something is for sale but not to actually buy anything. Complete waste of time. Definitely don't recommend.

I posted an ad for a bed, and got a response quickly, with the person saying they were coming by the next day at a certain time, however never showed up, I tried to contact that person the next day and never received a response, then the day after I get a response asking if the item was already sold, only because I had it listed as sold, because that person had told me they wanted it and to list it as sold! Bull$#*! site. Never going to try to sell anything through letgo!
