This seller operated as having a UK base as 'uk. Laptobatterylife' & 'laptopbatterylife' offered a 12-month warranty on his product & a 18-month subject to a fee which I paid. Merely 4 months down the line my Apple magsafe 45w power adaptor stopped working, the seller did not respond to my email and there's no longer an online presence of his company (under the same name at least). Fortunately since the purchase occurred in the allowed 180 days I was able to contact Paypal who will force the seller to make a refund but this only after I send the unit all the way to China!. Avoid this seller at all costs
Bought a Macbook Charger, (Spent 3 weeks trying to get the right one, wrong item sent twice) not the one I bought has tripped the electric in my whole house in the middle of the night and the unit has went black and melted.
Website now seems to have disappeared.
A month after ordering a replacement charger for my Macbook Pro, I contacted the customer services to ask where my item was. I was told I should wait 1-2 more days, check safe places etc, no item had arrived.
I asked for a refund via paypal and the seller agreed to refund in 1-2 days. After a couple of weeks and no refund, I escalated the claim to paypal to which the seller had said they'd sent ANOTHER charger out?! I'd asked for a refund, not another charger...
Paypal are currently looking into the claim. The seller provided a My Hermes tracking code to "prove" the item was delivered, that was until I'd spoken to My Hermes which proved the tracking code was for someone else! False information to try and get out of a refund... sounds like FRAUD to me.
I'd avoid this company and buy elsewhere! STAY AWAY.
TOTAL RIP-OFF
How long does it take before the authorities shut down scammers like LaptopBatteryLife.com
First off, the product was garbage, didn't work at all.
Then, I'm made to explain all the details before they would even consider my complaint.
Then, I'm told someone would be in touch, total lie, no one contacted me.
I write to complain, totally ignored.
I'm embarrassed to admit I have been scammed.
Unlike a lot of people here, I had a pretty good experience with their customer service.
I order the wrong product laptop chargers the sales representative change the order in to correct one.
Purchased a spare power book power supply for use when travelling - lasted about 5 trips before it went dead... no problem I thought, I'd paid extra for extended warranty and anyway it was still within the original warranty being only 6 months old.
Ah but it's not so easy...
There's no phone number to call - on line chat doesn't exist, if you click on the WEB site link you just get redirected to the contact page. And worse of all when you do email them you get no response... like talking to a brick wall.
What can you say about that type of service - SCAM.
Now going to try the small claims court.
Ordered replacement MacBook charger. Product was not as advertised, felt cheap broke after three weeks of use. No response ever to 'live' chat or online emails and as I emailed after 30days I think by 1 day they wouldn't give me a refund. Promised replacement still hasn't arrived six weeks later. The company is one up from a scam. Terrible products, terrible service they should not be allowed to trade. There should be a minus rating for this company.
Unlike a lot of people here, I had a pretty good experience with their customer service.
I needed to cancel a battery I ordered, but I left it too late and they'd already dispatched it. (it arrived in around a week.) I didn't open the packaging, so can't comment on the battery's quality, the packaging did look a litter amateur however.
The only odd thing is they had me send it onto another customer, instead of returning it to them. But as I'd ordered through Paypal, had an email trial, and sent it on via insured Royal Mail, I felt I was covered.
They refunded me a few hours after it was delivered, so can't comment on the quality of their goods, but it seems they've cleaned up their customer service act.
I have seen the review of this company... -- but I cannot understand the bad reviews... as my experience as a first time customer - is 5 STAR -- quick service on postage -- and correct laptop charger -- tested it... its the best laptop mac air charger - it charge faster than the mac book plug itself...
So no complaint... no bad experience... brilliant service and brilliant product... - trust me i am one of those customer who will moan and write a bad review... but overall this company is brilliant... just tested my plug excellent --- say no more cannot speak for those bad experience review my experience is 5 stars
Ordered 2 batteries from here, second battery started to rapidly discharge and was told to ship it to them. Sent it back and since been chasing for either exchange or now after reading other people review just a refund.
Keep getting reply from the form message but not the email address. Same message basically saying that someone will get back to me soon...
If i were you I wouldnt buy from here
The first charger they sent had the wrong output voltage. The second stopped working after three months. So far I've had no luck in getting a refund. They've started to ignore my emails.
Avoid Avoid Avoid.
I've purchased several batteries from LaptopBatteryLife in the past and had no issues... until now. The last one I purchased stopped working after three months. Since it was still under warranty I thought no problem. Just return it and get a replacement like their website states. Well surprise, surprise. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. No phone # to call, no response from numerous e-mails, no response from their "have a question, we'll get back to you in minutes" and no live chat even though you click on a button that states "online now." I will be contacting PayPal and the BBB. DO NOT BUY from this site!
Think about it - what good is a warranty if you can't contact anyone to give you complaint? They could give you a 10 year warranty, it doesn't mean anything if no one is listening.
Do not make the mistake of buying from this website.
The products are not genuine and poor quality. They WILL break - the question is when.
If it is faulty when it arrives, or it completely dies within 2months of purchase as mine did, you CANNOT contact them. They have no phone number, they do not reply to your emails, their link to their "Live Chat" just send you back to their homepage.
Only after i recieved the wrong product ( even though my laptop told me that it was the right one) and read the reviews on here did i realise it seems a repeaded story. They send out the wrong one, get you then to send onto someone else, which was a right rigmarol and stressful ( who they get the money off them for the delivery that you pay for) then i told them exactly what was on my battery so i had to pay yet again for them to send the apparently rightt one out ( un beknown to me i had ordered the correct one all along but they sent ME the WRONG one) so after paying yet another £3.99 i again got the same type they sent before? I now know that it was not me at fault at all. If they keep doing this they are getting £3.99 out of everyone... even the full cost as i bet most give up. So i now have paid total of £40 for a useless battery and spent weeks trying to sort out. I have not had a reply off them since they asked me to send in a photo of both batteries ( which i have done). I have asked for them to collect it and give me my £40 back but as yet not a word. I have told them that i am going to trading standards over this company ( not sure what they can do but still i am goiing to try) and i am spreading the word as much as i can to warn others... STAY AWAY DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT!
After ordering a wrong product I was ask to post the item to another customer. Unfortunately the shipping of battery is prohibited within the UK. Only DHL and FedEx does it but at the cost of the battery itself. However I am £35 of my pocket. Have email at numerous occasion to find a solution or seek advice but have not got feedback anymore. Definitely poor customer service and bad business practice.
I would rate laptopbatterylife 0/5 if i could. I purchased an adaptor from here, as it was slightly cheaper than apple's, came with a 18 month warranty and seemed, well, legit. Not long after the adaptor broke so i emailed them numerous times to ask for a refund, however, no response! Nothing! They don't have a customer service phone number so couldn't call. This is a scam website, avoid them.
After reading these reviews I was sure I would never get my order, but it came in less than 2 weeks, exactly what I ordered and no problems.
Ordered laptop battery which arrived from a company called Ecomponents Ltd in Southall. The battery was cracked as in unsuitable packaging. Also no warning of hazardous product, obviously breaking the law as no licence. Requested replacement, no reply. Took up problem with PayPal. They said they had sorted it and I would get a refund if I sent it back to an address in China! No one will transport it as is Li-on battery and ruled as hazardous. Ordered another from http://www.laptopsandspares.com/, free delivery within two days, correctly packaged and made in Japan, google certified trader in Salisbury. Works perfectly.
Eventually got refund from Paypal after repeated complaints.
I ordered a battery which it turned out didn't fit so I asked for a refund as you normally would. They then emailed asking for specs etc. I then sent an email with this and they replied that they would send a replacement which I didn't want anyway as I had already said I wanted a full refund! To cut a long story short this has been going on since Jan 2015 and still no refund or contact with them even tho I have sent numerous emails.
Avoid at all cost. They are a pile of w"$@!
I've reported these people to the Better Business Bureau (www.bbb.org) and the Acorn site in Australia (www.acorn.gov.au) but have had no response from either. Extremely angry at having been ripped off by this company, as money is not all that easy to come by. I will only deal with reputable, well-known businesses online from now on, if indeed, I deal with anyone online again. I guess I only use my laptop on mains electricity till I can afford another battery. The one from laptopbatterylife has only lasted a few months. CRAP COMPANY - DON'T DEAL WITH THEM!
Answer: Afraid you won't get any where. Try your retailer for a refund. PayPal and Amazon should help. Establish a complaint with both if that's how you bought it.
Answer: Sorry but they are useless. My battery arrived damaged and they wanted me to send it back to China! I raised a complaint with paypal and they reimbursed me. Stay away from laptopbatterylife.
Answer: I hammered them with daily emails and also left messages on their website - I finally got a response some weeks later.
