I purchased a wall decoration for above my television. I wasn't sure if it was the right size but, since I was there, I decided to buy it and try it. I figured if it was too large, I was able to return it without an issue. Upon taking it home, I realized it was way to large and there was no where in the house for me to put it (things tend to look smaller in the store).
I went to the store to return the sign only to be told it was a "green tag" item and I was unable to return it. The cashier told me when I bought the decoration that the employee should have told me but she was unable to return it. Had the original employee told me I couldn't return this, I would have went home and measured first. I am now stuck with an item that I cannot use and have no one to give it to.
I contacted customer support to see if this could be resolved only to basically be told "oh well, they should have told you but they didn't." To be told green tag items are not returnable until after I purchase the item is absolutely unacceptable. I have never purchased a green tag item from Kirklands before so I had no idea these items were nonreturnable. I would have even been okay with store credit to make up for the employees lack of knowledge. I will NEVER shop at a Kirkland's store again. Extremely rude customer service that are not interested in helping.
I am SO PISSED OFF right now! I wish I read these reviews before ordering from Kirkland's! I ordered four cute Halloween items, received my doormat and haven't received my other three items and it's been WEEKS! I received notification that they shipped ten days ago, but tracking shows that the packages haven't even been sent to FedEx yet, and after reading these reviews, it seems like that's a trend with them. I've emailed customer service THREE times now and haven't been able to get through to a customer service rep. HORRIBLE. I don't have a Kirkland's credit card, but when I checked out, I noticed that they were "unable to accept Kirkland's Credit Cards," which seems extremely odd to me. Why can't the company take their own CC? I've ordered through many reputable companies, and they haven't had issues getting their products out during COVID, so I don't even want to hear that bs. I've also ordered CUSTOM items from Etsy in the past month that arrived FASTER than they advertised. Do NOT order anything from Kirkland's! Very untrustworthy company!
Bought a big mirror online and had it shipped to store. Delivery took about 30 days because of damages and accidental shipping to wrong store / reshipping to correct store. When we finally picked it up, they stated that they inspected it to make sure it wasn't damaged during shipping, so I simply picked it up and took it home. Upon opening the box, I see the frame is damaged and so the item was returned and we had to wait another 2 weeks for new shipment. So... they shipped to the wrong store again and had to ship to correct store, so we waited another 30 days in total. 60 days later we pick up the mirror and we're hapoy to find that it has no damage. I hang the mirror up on our newly remodeled bathroom wall and it looks great!
(Not so fast) an hour later, we hear a horrible crashing sound. The mirror fell off of the wall smashing through a pedestal sink, destroying the plumbing causing a flood of water fall down the steps and through the ceiling. After I cut the water supply off, I discover the anchors ripped out of the frame.
Long story short, the products are cheap knockoffs. If you're going to purchase, purchase in store but expect lower quality. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for.
My first order with Kirkland's was for an order of two items that had to be boxed separately. I waited patiently while my order was being "processed". This first step took 5 days. Another 2 days elapsed before it was picked up by FedEx, which I watched patiently as the shipment made its way across the country. After 12 days of waiting, the shipments were finally out for delivery.
My FedEx guy is like The Flash and even though I was expecting the shipment, he was already back in his truck and gone before I could get to the door. Only one box was at my door! I checked my Kirkland's account to confirm I was supposed to get two items - check.
The next morning, I contacted Kirkland's to let them know and was told that the shipment is on it's way. I told the agent that the delivery had already occurred and that checking online with FedEx shows the orders delivered. I was asked if I checked around my front door for the item, maybe I missed it, as if I might miss a box that was about 18 x 30 in. I was then told that they would contact the shipper to find out what happened to the missing box.
A few days go by and it's crickets from Kirkland's. Once again I have to call them to find out what has happened to my order. After about 1/2 an hour on hold, I finally hang up. I decided to give FedEx a call and within a minute was told that the item was rejected at pickup due to breakage.
Once again, I am back to Kirkland's, basically doing their job and informing them of the shipping status. I was asked if I wanted a refund or a reship, which unfortunately Kirkland's was the only place I could find this item. Again, I am having to go through this same long drawn out processing and shipping time.
Wouldn't you think that in this case, they would have expedited my order?
Over 30 days to get this cleared up Kirkland's!
I bought 2 items on the same day (9/1) and to date already received 1 of the items. I 1st went to the store to buy the items b/c according to the website they had it there - not there. I went to another store b/c again it was supposedly there, AGAIN not there. Ok, no problem, I'll order online which I did 9/1. I ordered 2 of the same pillows & 1 wood art piece. I received a notice that my pillow shipped on 9/6. Nothing on the wood art piece. On 9/7 I sent a friendly email just inquiring. No response, ever, but I did get a shipping notification 9/9 that the art piece would be there on 9/12.9/12 came and went, no art piece. Apparently FedEx had it but there was an issue. I called 9/13 & talked to someone to get an update b/c now my shipping date said pending. I spoke with someone who could've cared less & said I'll email the shipping company for a date & send you an email. Guess what, NEVER got an email. I tried again 9/16 & sent an email - NO RESPONSE. I called them but I was on hold so long that I finally entered my # for a call back... AGAIN no response. I sent an email b/c their online chatting is down - still is today - GUESS WHAT no response. I called again today and finally got someone that semi cared only after I told her I disputed the charge w/me credit card company. She kept cutting me off and when I asked her to stop she apologized for everything and had me hold for a supervisor. The super never came to the phone so she said she will call me and update me on the status. I still have received no communication from them. This is after 2 emails and 3 calls over a 1 week period. Awesome selection of product appalling customer service/shipping/website.
I visited Kirklands yesterday, 9-16-2021. Now I know getting people to work period these days can be quite the challenge. But, really?...
I spent at least, $700.00 in this store recently and was returning a 60 dollar ottoman from that purchase. I admit I did not have a receipt, but hey, thats what the new technology resolves for us, these days, so I thought. It says so on there websight. Returns made on credit card purchases are acceptable without a receipt.
This customer servant saw me coming and whipped out those fangs. This was Snellville
Ga of all places. Between 2m and 5pm. She did have the presence of mind to look up my name on the data base. She then cocked that head, bristled that back and said, "l can give you a store credit ". I
Tried offering a little civility to the narrative by asking about the other CS rep that helped me with the original purchase as to when she might be available. She was all that anyone could hope for in a store purchase setting. While I was complimenting on her kind demeanor, I asked when she would be back, she snidely quipped, "we don't give out that information." (Guess she thought I was a homicidal X) and here I am looking like someone's grandmother.
I usually keep it simple. I just by all of my home decor from AT HOME STORES. Where they always get it right. Even in a pandemic. Ive never had, not so much as a kind of bad experience there. I dont know how they do it. But its been my experience. And you can bet your bottom dollar this wont happen again cause I'll be leaving this tyoe of experience to whomever has been floating this store.
I ordered 2 mirrors for a bathroom remodel, but only got one in the mail. I called & was told the second one was coming from a different distribution center so it would take a few more days. I waited a few more days, didn't get it, called back & they told me that they have no notes from the previous call, & that they show that 2 mirrors were delivered. I said, no... I only got one mirror & I don't know why they didn't notate my account the last time I called but I need the second mirror. The man asked me if I could send him a picture of the damaged mirror. Um, no sir... the second mirror wasn't damaged, I never got it. He put me on hold for over 20 minutes - so now my total time on the phone is well over 30 minutes, & he comes back to tell me the mirror that I ordered & paid for is no longer available but he will put in a "claim" for a supervisor to refund that one mirror. I told him that that wouldn't work bc I needed 2 matching mirrors for the bathroom. If they couldn't send the missing mirror, I'd have to return the other one as well. He tells me that they will not cover return shipping for the one mirror. Awesome, so I've now got waited 3wks to get the mirrors I bought & paid for, but I'll have to wait for a refund for the one i never got, pay for shipping to return the second one, wait for them to process that & THEN order 2 new mirrors!? Ridiculous.
Purchased a mirror 1 month ago to be shipped to a store for pick up. Have recieved 0 email updates and still has yet to ship.
This is now the second time I have had issues with on line ordering with Kirkland's and they will never get another order from me again. Back in October I ordered fall stuff that they said was shipped and it wasn't. Well past the date they said I would receive I contacted them again and they said they didn't know why I got a notification that it was shipped cause it was still pending at their end. When asked if I could cancel they said no because it was at their warehouse. The order finally arrived the week before I was ready to take my fall decorations down. So next order I placed nov. 23rd and it again said it has shipped these items were for Christmas. As I had not received again after getting notices that it shipped I reached out to customer service last week and they said it was sitting at their warehouse and they would check with their supervisor and get it straightened out. Yesterday I got a notice they received my return...? Like what.? I called customer service again and said I didn't return anything I am awaiting my shipment still. She says let me look into. Oh I see what happened. It looks like someone else got your items and they returned and we processed the claim. I am like well why didn't they get shipped to me if they were returned? She says let me see if I can get them for you. Then she proceeds to say oh I am sorry none of these items are in stock now so your order has been cancelled. So I placed my order on November 23rd anticipating for Christmas; have been told along they were going to be delivered and as of December 15th now my order was cancelled!, Kirkland's lost a valuable customer today. Horrible experience the whole way around. Bottom line. They do it once, they do it twice they will do it again. For me... never again!
