I was out of town and had to meet with several people and my shoes were needing to be replaced. I went to a Journeys in lakeland Fl. I bought a pair of shoes and tried them on and the fit was proper but after a couple days my knee was bothering me and i felt like my ankle was turning. I took of the shoe and it became obvious that the left sole was sewn on off center and since it was narrow my foot would roll off causing strain on my knee.
I tried to take them back a few days later since i had been travelling around the area and had tossed my old pair.
My mistake as they would not exchange or take anything back because they had been worn and i did not have the box. Living out of a suitcase for a month i did not save the box. What are they going to resell them thats probably how i got them. I told them they needed to dispose of the defective shoe that it was obvious it was made wrong and not mistreated. I was given their customer service #. I called that and spoke to the Journeys representative explained situation and the potential issue the shoe could cause. The man repeated the no box no help line again. I am sure if i had the box it would have been the day of the week or the humidity index. What a waste of 49.00 i could have just bought payless shoes with the expectation to throw them away. I will never shop those scammers ever. If i had contributed that would be maybe a reason but the shoe was bad and dangerous and should not have been put back in the box where they could easily end up back on the shelf. Shame on Journeys! That is their business selling shoes to feet.

I bought a pair of shoes and they were too large so I went on their website to process and exchange (they said they had free exchanges) and they redirected me to print a prepaid label and ship it back while charging $7.95 for the label. I communicated with a live agent via their live chat button on the website and she said to call when the item was being shipped back to get a label waiver and the exchange processed. I SAT ON HOLD FOR 1 HOUR AND 45 MINUTES for a 2 min phone call. Granted the employee that helped me was very knowledgeable and solved the problem but I was on hold for an outrageous amount of time.

Journeys will NEVER see another dime of my money! How they treated their young black staff was appalling! The staff bags were checked daily and still the children of color was accused of stealing and was fired during the audit time! WITHOUT PROFF OF ANY THEFT! People of color should not patron these establishments especially if they are practicing biased behavior! WHEN you spend your hard earned covid dollars with these companies you may well be investing in the biased practices also! Journeys will NEVER see my money again!

This company is by far the worst experience I have ever had in retail! I bought a pair of toddler Nike's online and they were too small. I called the customer service and was told it would be easier if I just go in store. I still do not understand how this company stays in business since absolutely nothing is convenient for the customer! They were unwilling to send the exchange right way and send a shipping label via email- (you know like Amazon, Zappos, DSW and Walmart) I go into the store (8/19/19) and what do you know they cannot find the shoe online. They found the shoe at the Seattle store and it was promised to be to the store where I was locate in three days. I called to follow up 8/23/19 and they still had not received the shoes. I even go on vacation and call AGAIN when I return on 8/27/19 and was then told the Seattle store "forgot" to send the shoe. Forgot!?!?!? Is this not a part of your joblike daily? Now they cannot find the shoe anywhere! I requested the district manager call me and was told he would right away. It has not been day two. There is absolutely no accountability at the store level all the way to the district manager. Customer service from corporate only apologized for the staff. Competition is tough out there and I definitely do not see this company in business much longer. I will ensure my friends, family and anyone else that will listen to stay clear of such horrible business practices.

Went there to replace two pairs of shoes, well tried vans was told they adjust to my feet, these shoes hurt my feet had to go back to my other shoes could not walk bought them back for refund was told could not refund all kind of excuses why then took them to other store was told my foot print in them, I ended up giving shoes away in front of store put an post on facebook to boycott Journeys now I am an Vet, so came out of military with bad feet with having to wear boots all the time, lost slightly over hundred dollars, will never go to journeys again telling everyone I know not to go there I have started an boycott on Journey for life, and everyone should boycott that, next month going to shoe depot for dc shoes and the spray for hats and shoes

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE THE IDIOTS ON THE PHONE WERE STUPID AND MOST OF THE TIME THEY ARE CLOSE TO IMPOSSIBLE TO GET A HOLD OF. THEY DON'T CALL BACK OR EMAIL BACK AND WHEN WE CALLED ON THE PHONE. THE FIRST PERSON ORDERED US THE WRONG COLOR AND THE SECOND PERSON SAID SOMETHING WAS IN STOCK WHEN IN REALITY IT REALLY WASN'T. SO THEN THEY DECIDE TO NOT SEND US ANYTHING AND REFUND OUR MONEY BUT DIDN'T TELL US THEY REFUNDED OUR MONEY. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE GET YOUR STUFF SOMEWHERE ELSE

Horrible Customer Service
September 10, 2017

I went in to buy some shoes that I had saw in the store the week before and the sales lady had told me that they were all sold out but she insisted that they would have other shoes similar to it that I would like. So she goes to the back and brings back 3 pairs of shoes that are all COMPLETELY different and when I said that I didn't like any of them she all but forces me to try on one of them. When I said that I still didn't like it she was like, "well you should have gotten them when they were here you're not going to find them anywhere else and if you do it'll be double the price" turns out I went to another shoe store in the mall that was directly across from journeys and they had the exact shoe I was looking for, for the same price. The employees here are WAY to pushy and they treat you like their entire life depends on whether or not you buy a pair of shoes.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER SHOE FROM THEIR WEBSITE EVER AGAIN! I'm taking it upon myself to write bad views everywhere I can, because this place deserves to be dogged. I ordered shoes on August 2 and as of now I have still yet to receive them and it is August 12. I paid for 3-5 days shipping and I deserve free shipping. I'm so frustrated I'm willing to sue. Not only did they not communicate what was going on with my purchase, but apparently they just took my money and didn't put my shoes in process. I've got in a live chat 3 times seeking assistance and every time they feed me excuses! They never email back like they say and never follow through on what they say. This company is trash! I've never had a problem purchasing in store but after this experience I won't purchase anything from them, because they don't deserve my services. I want to cancel my order, but guess what? THEY TOLD ME I COULDN'T. I'm almost close to believing I was scammed. Don't waste your time online.

Journey's should consider changing how they authorize payment, I shouldn't have several of the same pending charges from a single purchase - that makes no sense and can hurt a poor person's bank account. I've seen plenty of reviews about this on the internet concerning Journey's and duplicate charges, I just wish I had read them before purchasing from Journeys. They double charged my account! It put my account in the negative and I was charged an overdraft fee by my bank. "I do apologize but our team will review the double charge and take care of that for you! We are unable to pay for overdraft fees." This was Journey's Customer Service response. Now not only was my account charged but I'll be forced to pay an overdraft fee. DO NOT ORDER FROM JOURNEYS! My bank requested a letter from them explaining their error and their response was that there was no error as the other charges were simply authorization charges and will drop off. Terrible business practices. Save yourself and just shop somewhere else.

My 14 year old daughter had been saving her allowance and doing extra chores to have enough money to purchase these shoes she wanted. When she finally had enough money, we went to the store. The size she wanted was out of stock. An employee by the name of Brittany told us that she could place the order and we'll have them within 4/7 day(which I now know was just a scam to make a sale). On the third day my 14 year old daughter tried to track her order and could find nothing. She contacted customer service and was told that the shoe was completely out of stock. She can't get a refund. Neither can she exchange. Her only option is to wait 18 days until the check comes in. When I, her Mother, took over the conversation. I was told the same thing, and I was offered a 10$ coupon for our troubles. My Daughter needs those shoes for school and is left without her shoes or her money. Who takes advantage of a child? Who does that? How is a 10$ going to put shoes on my daughters feet? I'm sharing our experience on every social media site known to man. I will not let Journeys do this to another child. Last year I ordered shoes for my daughter, they never came. Two trips to the mall, talking to two different mama gets, 3 months and several calls later they finally refunded me the cost of the shoes. I decided to give them another chance last week I ordered shoes from them 9th again. To my supreme they came on time, to my dismay they had ordered them in men's instead of women's. SERIOUSLY? So we went back to them mall now because of THEIR mistake we did not qualify for the free shipping and I am praying against all hope that this time the shoes will be fine. 9th top 9th all this I had to MAKE THEM GIVE ME A RECEIPT. If we receive these on time and the correct style and size I might give this company a 3.

HORRIBLE

I got a pair of timberland order and shipped to my house, when I received it I tired it on and the shoe was to small I tired to return it literally the next morning ( mind you i got the shoes at night) and when I went to the store they claim that i wore the shoes, HOW IN THE WORLD IS THAT POSSIBLE? THE DAMN SHOES DON'T FIT! I will NEVER purchases anything ever again from Journeys.

Like many of you reading these reviews I found out after I placed an order what a horrible service journeys.com provides. Not all of the products listed as shipping from the manufacturer are actually listed on the site. Chat support says order cannot be canceled. The hold on the purchase amount if you use a debit card goes away due them never completing the transaction. Of all the times I have made online purchases I have never encountered such a bad shopping experience. The only reason I purchased sneakers from the website is that they had a colorway I have never seen anywhere else. If you have the option to purchase the same item somewhere else even if it costs more, do it and save yourself the frustration from dealing with this company. If enough of us report Journeys to the credit card companies as suspected fraud/deceptive business practices than they will be forced to change or lose the ability to use the credit card billing service. If we just rant online they will do nothing. If we effect their ability to make money they will have no choice but to change their business practices. Worst company ever.

Pathetic customer service

I ordered a pair of shoes for my son once they came he wore them one day for 6 hours and they busted on the side. After spending 45 minutes on the phone with the reps and asking to speak to three different supervisors I received no resolution I repeat no resolution. I was told I could not return at the store unless it was an item in sellable condition what kind of nonsense is this if I have a damaged product from your store online that I cannot return in the store. I was refused and even exchange I was refused a comparable substitution. I had to beg for a return label which I finally got after one phone call and four different online chats The label covered partial cost of sending them back I was still out money to return them so all in all I paid them for a damaged product that I had to drive to FedEx to return. I asked to have a district manager call me I gave my cell number no one ever called then I was told their information is personal information and cannot be given out I never got anybody's name I gave my phone number and nobody called me I beg of you please please please do not order from this company The customer service is ridiculous I should say there is no customer service¡!

Nothing but a nightmare of an experience! A never ending chain of human error. On Dec. 22 I was trying to buy my granddaughter a pair if Adidas in the Monmouth Mall, N. J. store. They didn't have her size. Employee told me to purchase the smaller size and her size would be available for exchange on Dec. 27th. Today is Jan. 27th and the nightmare continues. After several trips to the store for the correct size, when told on the phone that they were in stocks, they did not have them. Finally one week ago I demanded that they ship to my house from their warehouse. Order was placed... Yes warehouses had them... I would have them in 2 to 4 days. No email updates. Yesterday customer service told me the warehouse did not have them and they were coming from another store. Well today they arrived... One sneaker was missing the sole insert. Purchased by debit, not credit. Sorry but they can't give me a cash refund. Filed complaint with consumer affairs and will spread the word of my experience. Store employees were not interested in my purchase issues and customer service supervisor said sorry they can not help me. What a joke!

Company is full of rasist people who are friends with people In higher positions they will make you think your Goals and SOPs are important but it's only to make the Store Manager look good they try to make you think your making money but it's really a ripe off they not working full schedules but still manage to get full pay but can't explain why your not getting all your money I WILL NEVER WORK FOR THIS COMPANY AS A CO MANAGER IN PEARL MISSISSIPPI AGAIN! Horrible Customer Service

I called to inquire about my package that was intended to be delivered yesterday 8/8/23. I received an email saying it was delivered while I was at work. After work there is no package. I wait until the next afternoon, again after work to see if maybe the package was delivered after the fact. Nope. I call customer service and I am told that because the delivery driver took a picture of the package that there is nothing they can do for me. So I get transferred to a supervisor, who reiterates that because a picture by a delivery driver was taken that she can't do anything. Can't replace the item that I paid for, cannot track where it could have gone, couldn't process a refund for the item either. How can nothing be done? I go to the police station to make a report and I am told for a lack of better words, that "it's great I filed it, but respectfully there is nothing the police can do." HORRIFIC CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have bought shoes exclusively from journeys since I had my first job at 16. Never had a bad experience until now, and I am flabbergasted, I spent over $40 in shoes to be delivered for them to never get to me and be told "oh well". RIDICULOUS. If I could write a bad review on every platform I would. And I will.
