TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE IN STORE AND ON PHONE
December 1, 2023

Purchased 2 pair of shoes was told 3-5 days for delivery! Received email stating shipping label created for both pairs and only received 1 pair! After random excuse that item was rerouted I finally got an email 2 weeks after purchase but it was to tell me they canceled my entire order because the 1 size was no longer available! The shoes were for our wedding so I got on converse website and ordered a replacement which arrived 2 days later thankfully!
THEN the worst part was the customer service or lack there of thru the entire process of trying to do the refund! The email stated if I didn't want to wait for a check in 10 days I needed to call within 48 hours to credit the original form of payment! I called that day spending 65 minutes on the phone with 3 different people trying to tell me my card was a debit not a credit therefore had to wait for a check! I think I know if I'm using MY debit or MY credit card better than customer service simply because it's MINE?!? Anyway 1 of the 3 people I spoke to got some attitude in my tone of voice because of the run around and she said to me if you don't talk to me like a human I can refuse to help you! REALLY because I have a frustrated tone of voice you go there UGH they finally confirmed my refund for the full amount and said it would be credited back to the card in 5-7 business days!
WELL if that wasn't enough said credit never hit the account so this time I called the store where I purchased them and asked the store manager Tiffany if she could help with my situation by calling customer service for me and she said no we have nothing to do with that at store level! Ok so I call again and get confirmation this time that credit will hit end of business the next day which was Wednesday and when it STILL wasn't there Thursday yesterday I called yet again and supposedly got a supervisor named Jessica on the phone who was 1 of 2 people that apologized on behalf of Journey's for my frustration! The other one I wish I got the gals name just before Jessica because she was wonderful but all she did was get me to Jessica! So I was givem the option of waiting 3-5 more days because it was not processed correctly the first 2 times or going back to the store where they can immediately put the credit on card! GREAT we might be getting somewhere ya right! I'm not even going to go into detail how rude both Tiffany the store manager and her district manager who happened to be there were! Basically all they did was say they couldn't do anything and complained how bad customer service screwed up and mis informed me! I refused to leave the store until I got the credit for the full amount confirmed on the original email that started all this! The district manager finally told her just do it and walked out of the store. I have shopped and worked in retail and I've never seen anything so incredibly disgusting! Not only will I never shop Journey's again I will be sure to tell others of the horrendous customer service in hopes they don't experience anything like it!

NEVER SHOP AT JOURNEYS
First of off I am disgusted by your business on 4/1/2021 I went to journeys in West county mall in Des Peres, MO to purchase a pair of black timerlands. They didn't have the ones I wanted but the manager told me that I could buy them in the store and they would be shipped to the store in 4 days. Later looking at the receipt it says 4 to 7 business days, so I wasn't told the correct days it would take before purchase if I had I wouldn't have baught it. Then I waited and called customer service when I checked my tracking for my shoes it said unavable, so I called custormer service to see what was going on. The lady told me my order was cancelled on 4/3/2021 today is 4/8/2021 (I called customer service today) so I asked her why wasn't I notifie she said I was sent an email. And I was but it was sent to my spam account so I didn't know. Then I asked her why my order was cancelled she replied that they were out if the shoes. I said ok when will my refund return to my card. She said it's not we have to mail a check to you. After trying to get MY money back on my card we ended our conversatio. I went back to the store to return the shoe cleaning kit I also b with the shoes and I ask there worker there about my situation and he said that they only send a check when you pay in cash, so even he was confused. So why do I have to wait on a freaking check I don‘t work there I should get my refund to my card. You can charge someone in store cancele there order then make them wait 3 weeks for a check people steal checks I don‘t trust that. Their company is the worst my advice never shop at journerys. This was almost a $200 purchase and instead of putting it back on my card your risking my money getting stole with putting it back on a check. I don't know the employees at the store. I'm not saying they would steal it but now a days you don't know who is trustworthy. And if your warehouse is out of the shoe someone is purchasing you shouldn't take there money the transaction shouldn't go through in the first place.

Terrible Customer service!
August 24, 2018

Order#******* 81.15 and 61.11 currently debited from my account. Order ******* is ny new order for same merchandise and is correct.

Disappointed with the service received in my four phone calls to customer service on 8/24/18. Two of those calls occurred at 5:30pm CST and I was hung up on TWICE when I asked for a supervisor. Was given inaccurate information regarding duplicate charges to my debit card, and informed that there was NOTHING that could be done to resolve the issue. I explained to rep that PayPal NEVER charged my card, only Journeys did, as it's listed on my debit card statement. Rep argired with me that I was wrong repeatedly. Her name was karita. Journeys was supposed to cancel my order per the email I received 8/21 by 6pm CST since PayPal waited to long to take the payment and by then, there wasn't enough in the account to cover the Journeys purchase. This was not done and I was duplicate charged. Customer service did nothing to compensate or the situation for one of their best customers. Spoke to supervisor Kayla she refused to give last name or employee ID# and did not offer any coupons or some type of solution to resolve the inconvenience and just said I have to wait for my money to go back into the account. No accountability for the error Journey's caused by NOT CANCELLING THE ORDER LIKE YOU SAID YOU WOULD! I'm constantly buying shoes from you for my family of 5 but after this experience I'll have to choose another retailer as I am extremely frustrated with the lack of concern I received today! Negative reviews of Journey's on various websites are soon to follow this terrible experience I had to deal with today!

Bad Service by Supervisor
November 24, 2017

#Journeys Review: Last week I bought 3 pairs of boots for my girls. On the day that One of my girls needed to wear the shoes for photo session, she noticed that the boots zipper was damaged. So, I told her to wear a different boots and I will exchange the damaged one at the store. Today, I purposely went to the store at the Parks Mall in Arlington to exchange the shoes. Unfortunately, they didnt have the size available. I asked the sales clerk if they have anything on another brand and I was told that they only have size 5. The sales clerk told me that the shoes tend to get bigger as it gets worn. But, I refused to get a 1 size smaller than my daughters (well who buys something a size smaller when your kid is growing up?). So, the person in charge whose name is Lena came out and told me that they cant give me a refund because the shoes is well damaged(I wasnt looking for an apology but anyone knows basic customer service skills and youre supposed to introduce yourself, listen to the problem, empathize then propose a solution). First of all, I didn't know that the shoe was damaged bec my daughter only tried 1 shoe when we bought it and we were very exhausted shopping that day. I trusted the sales clerk and absolutely didn't check because honestly, she was very friendly. I was pleasant when I first got to the store today and asked for an exchange. I got extremely annoyed with how the supposedly person in charge came out and announced (with a hint of a bad attitude) that I cant be refunded. I ended up buying another brand more expensive which was not a problem bec my daughter would use it but, I wanted to get out of that store so badly because I was done talking to a person who doesnt possess a good customer service skills and at that point I was really frustrated and don't want to continue losing my temper because of another persons incompetence. Lena should have never been in charge. Ive been buying shoes at Journeys (well, mostly in Illinois in the past and they were awesome) but, Im going to stop buying from this company from now on. I was actually thinking of returning the shoes I was forced buy that is 50% more expensive than the one I originally bought but, I dont want to go back and see Lena's face again. I felt being robbed by Journeys today. They sold me a damaged shoes yet they didn't want to refund me when they didnt have the same size of the same shoes when I tried to get it exchanged. I understand their policy however, it wasn't my fault that the shoe was damaged. It came from the store and sold it to a customer who doesnt have an inkling that the shoe was damaged (who would buy a damaged shoes anyway?)They sold it to me without my knowledge and they made me buy a more expensive shoe in exchange. Ill never sell any product that is damaged and punish a customer for it. The shoe was only 29.99 but, its all about principle on this case. I was forced to buy a 79.99 shoes (she gave me a 10% discount) since they cant refund me and they dont have same size of the shoes I originally bought. Journeys may have gotten more of my money but you lost a very good customer today.
