I placed an online order with jcp.com for several dresses and pairs of sandals to take to Hawaii for a family wedding. I paid for expedited shipping, and when the package didn't arrive, I called jcp.com to find out what happened--only to realize that I had forgotten to update my address! The package was shipped to my old address, but even though it was my fault, jcp.com credited me back the money and then reordered the items for me, along with expedited shipping. I got NO hassle and am now expecting my order in two days. Thank you, jcp.com!
I ve been to j. C. penney at least 6 times in the last 6 months. I can never find my size. They have no selection! They really need to revamp thaat whole dept! I always end up having to order online anyway!
I love this store. They have great clothes and home decor with good value at a reasonable price. Customer service people and store clerks are helpful and friendly. Great store to shop have been shopping there for years.
Recently visited the store in Prattville, AL to buy t-shirts for my husband. Unfortunately, the kind he wanted were not on shelves. Sale Associate, Ms. Pamela Minor, checked inventory and found there were none in stock. She then ordered the items for us to be delivered to the store. What a joy it was to meet her. Ms. Minor was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. JC Penney is fortunate to have Ms. Pamela Minor as an employee.
I will never understand why everyone rioted when they came out with their fair and square, no coupon pricing. One of their basic tees was "fair and square" priced at $6, but everyone insisted on having it priced at $10.99 and then waiting for it to go on sale for $6, instead of just having it cost $6 every day of the year. Silly, silly shoppers.
We live in Ajax, Ontario Canada and we both have cards with JC Penney. I called today August 25,2016, at 1:45 pm to make a payment on my husband's card. I told the clerk that I made a payment with my CIBC debit card last month on my account and I would like to do the same for my husband. I was told that I cannot. I explained further but she did not attempt to help. She then passed me on to her supervisor. The supervisor was also not knowledgeable about the payment system. Eventually, she saw that I did make the payment and she was able to do the same for my husband. Kindly inform your staff that it is possible to make a payment with a CIBC debit card from Toronto. A little knowledge will help with the customer service. This was my first time receiving such poor customer service from JC Penney. I will continue to shop with your store because most of your customer service reps are pleasant and helpful. Thank you.
The salon here is great! Been there a couple of times, My mom always see Mary, and she's hair had never looked better. They listen and do what she need, not what they want to make money on. For me, they are professional and they gave advice what to do.
Rudest customer service agent I've ever interacted with. I signed up for an account as there was a rewards promotion going on. I did not receive the e-mail, and neither did a lot of people. When I called to ask about the promotion, the agent replied curtly in an impatient manner. She kept telling me there was no name associated with the account despite me being able to sign in with the reward account and check the name. She also said the promotion was for new members, which was not true as the promotion said previous members could opt into the reward.
I feel like this was a blatant attempt to harvest information. I would not recommend shopping at JCPenny. My mom used to do so, as did I in store, but customer service here is the worst.
JC Penny is getting worse. My orders are many times delayed and they charge too much for shipping. I recently called customer service to cancel an order and they told me one of two items was in and ready for me to pick up, yet I was not notified. In order to cancel the other item, I have to contact the store. Customer service can do nothing. Here in Overland Park KS they have half the clothing their other store has. I'm going to Pennys less and less. About ready to cancel my credit card there.
I received a Nicole Miller purse as a gift. I returned it without a receipt. They could only give me the lowest sale price in the last 45 days It was regular $75 on sale for $45. They only gave me $10 on a gift card. There is no way that that purse was ever sold for $10. (Or ever will be) also their $10 off $10 coupon is a joke. I will never set foot back in a JC Penny store again, ever. It is worse now than when Ron Johnson was at the helm of your junk business.
How a company like this stays in business? I think it's because they offer such great "deals" online; however, this is what usually happens (I fell for it THREE times): Order 1: Never arrived. Called customer service. Waited 65 minutes. They said it was on the way. A lie. Never got the item. Never got a refund. Order 2: I got the item; however it was a different color than what I ordered but whatever. However, when I looked at my bank statement, I realized I had gotten charged the FULL price of the item, NOT the advertised discount. I called but when it said "wait time currently 83 minutes" I hung up. F that. Order 3: After 3 weeks still waiting. LESSON LEARNED FINALLY. I'm never shopping here again. I think they are just trying to grasp whatever money they can before their inevitable irrelevancy... just like Sears. Go away JCPENNEY YOU SUCK.
Returning 4 pair colored jeans a.n.a brand
Associate unable to find on computer (on my acct.) she called manager Angela who basically called me a their unwarranted delay poor communication using negative language spoke in Spanish rude behavior spoke between themselves instead of me customer. Angela could have least apologized error on our part something another employee found jeans finally credit account.
Done with Penny's I was a regular customer no longer!

Online order that was ready to pick up at the store 7 days later. Only 2 of 6 pieces there. Store says one thing, customer service tells you something else. Canceled order. They don't care about the inconvienence & simply throw you sorry's & pet your head. NEVER will I do business with this failing company again.
I placed an order on February 1st to have the item shipped to The Mall@ Prince Georges and I havent received my order nor would they refund me my money. I called the customer service line and they couldnt help me that much. They have tried calling the store no one will answer any of the departments lines. As a result I have called and faxed a letter to the corporate office. I have never seen anything like this. This was my first and last time ever ordering anything from them. Im giving them time to contact me before I take my story to the news.
I ordered some items online. Went to have items expedited shipped to me. It would only let me do free shipping. Then I started having my account debited for a subscription to free shipping.com. I never authorized this and they have debited my account three months in a row. Free shipping refuses to cancel, Penny's and my credit union refuse to help.
I wrote a bad review of jcpenney.com several weeks ago because I was very displeased about something I ordered only to be told the item was out of stock by email several hours after I had ordered it. I called the 800 number and explained the situation and the customer service representative bent over backward and managed to find me the item and have it shipped to my home all for the same great price. The item just arrived and I am very happy. Thank You! I would like to reverse my bad rating.
I Do not recommend JC Penney for anything. I have been a long time cc holder, and ordered an expensive pair of earrings for Christmas which I never received, filed a dispute, they are charging me anyway... for something I never received.
I usually do not shop on JCP.com but decided to give it a try. I received an email stating that my order was ready for pickup at the store. I went to the store only to be told that my order was not there yet. The employee's only explanation was that they send emails all the time saying that orders are ready for pickup when they really are not and for me to try back in another 3 days. I called customer service and the rep that assisted me said that everything in their system was saying that my order was at the store. The rep tried contacting the store twice. The first time he said they hung up on him. The second time he was transferred around to different departments and then disconnected. After waiting on hold for over 30 minutes, all he could say was to do what I was told and try going back to the store on Monday. Needless to say, I will no longer be shopping on JCP.com.
Everything fashion in one store. JCP continues to provide clothing and a shopping experience generation after generation. Quality meets affordability in every department. Bargain to upscale there is a range available at JCP.
We have a J C Pennys about a half hour from the house, and we used to do a lot of shopping there.
I don't plan on shopping there any longer. Any time a business declines a consevative seller based on politics alone, then I'm done spending money there.
What ever happened to these stores? I honestly don't get it. They refuse to sell My Pillow products but willingly support Chinese made goods.
I am really struggling to put into words my disdain for companies who shrug at Americans by deciding what we will and will not be allowed to buy in their stores. If they choose to take away my choice of buying My Pillow brand products because the founder supported the President of the United States, then I will take my money and business elsewhere.
Answer: I believe that there is a policy related to coupons. The clerk did look up your. Credit card. If you had been shopping at a grocery without your coupon it would have been the same. It is nice that at times they have made an exception for you which was good customer service on their part. Perhaps you had a new clerk that was still training or very busy. You should not blame the store for one instance with one employee. You also should not expect special treatment just because someone has bent the rules in the past.
