In January 2022 I bought a rose gold bridal set. The rose gold has come off the back of the engagement ring. I took the wedding band out of the box today it is tarnished so bad that it looks like the ring is eroded. This wedding band was never on my finger or out of the box. Called the store today to see about getting my money back they said all they can do is send it in to get me replacement. If it would allow it they wouldn't get any stars at all. Wish never got rings there. Pictures below are of both sides of rings.
Ordered a matress on May 23,2020. Salesperson said I would receive within two weeks. After 14 days I went on their website and found out it would not be delivered until June 17,2020. Today is June 17,2020 and I called the delivery company and they don't have the mattress. I have been on hold for 46 minutes and I still have not talked to anyone. Buy your mattress from someone who has it in stock. Penny's doesn't stock, they order from manufacturer when you purchase. Still on hold.
I just closed my account with jcpenney. Their online prices change daily and they dont do price adjustments even though its advertised that they do. Their shipping charges to the store are ridiculous and if the item doesnt fit, they dont refund the shipping charges either. Avoid their credit card which is through synchrony bank. They take forever to give you any overpayment back. I waited nearly two months for a check and when It didnt arrive, I called and I had to forcibly make them send me another one. The girl did not tell me she was putting a stop payment on teh $20.14 check and when it arrived I deposited the check. Five days later my bank charged me for a returned check at the rate of $12. I still dont have the $20.14 replacement check and now that check will only be worth $8.14 since the stop payment on the first one just cost me $12. Synchrony bank wont do anything about it. Ordered a sleeper couch. Paid an extra $900 plus tax for an 11 inch AirDream Mattress. The couch that was delivered only had the 4 inch Basic Mattress. We have spent the last month on hours on the phone getting the run around. Now they want us to increase our credit line to pay for a replacement couch. No way.
Always previously loved shopping at JCPenney! They had great value was easy to return items. Therr was great customer service, but not anymore during Covid you couldn't go to the store and when you were able to return something they charged a restocking fee. Now things are not as good quality as they used to be there no customer service
Never have had a problem with JC Penny, either online or in store. I prefer online because there is more stock and better deals but in-store is ok, too. Just more picked over or out of stock items. I just really like JCPenny overall.
We were the first people in line at the jewelry counter at the Lawrence ks location and we were completely ignored as the employee working helped other people that came after us. After waiting for 10 minutes for someone to help us we decided to walk away, it was incredibly unfortunate as we were waiting to buy a diamond ring.
Never ordering a mattress or shopping with jcpenny.com ever again. They messed up and delivered the wrong mattress. I went through a mess to get them to agree to return the error but I would have to purchase the correct mattress (not my fault they messed up) again before a refund for the wrong mattress could be returned. I will be returning the mattress, and shopping locally. I will never use jcpenny.com ever again.
I placed a large order i recieved everything except a pair of shoes instead of resolving my situation they need to investigate why someone did not do there job an place my items in the box i order online alot by far this is the worst experience i have ever had no only is the customer service rude but they place me on a long holds and then hung up on me how can i get any help with this company they took my money but will not give me my product

However, that was my first time to use their website and sent me wrong items... Their customer service pick up phone 24/7(I think.) and she was nice. The item I wanted was sold out when I called them and I had to go to store to return wrong item...
I think first impression is the most important.

On line system is inaccurate, sloppy, misleading, and does not honor promised actions. Even worse, customer service is populated with incompetent, rude, and extremely unhelpful personnel who delight in transferring calls back to the waiting queue, which is always a LONG time. One star is an accurate representation of their internet customer service, but I gave two stars because actual store personnel, in Meadows Mall, Las Vegas, Nevada, are always outstanding.
Never buy their white leather couches with the protection plan. First of all I found out that white couches are painted and when they come to "fix" it, they just apply another layer of paint, which tarnishes over time and needs to be reapplied. However, they won't do that indefinititely, after the second time they will tell you it is wear and tear if the top coat finish cracks or peels and then the warranty expires.
After several recent transactions with JCPenny on line, I can tell you this...

After they screw up you will be on the phone for an hour listening to repeated "I We apologize..."
They will not fix it by doing anything to make it right!

Wiregrass location(Jose) would not honor a price match with receipt for an crew t-shirt in store purchase within 5 days of original purchase date and looking to purchase 7 more of the same shirt in different colors. I was told to call customer service to see what they could do for me. Called customer service (Hennesey) and they would not help honor the price either. Left on hold for 20 + minutes to be hung up on by Hennessy. Why does this have to be so difficult!
JCPenney use to be my favourite online store but I found recently they have drop in the quality of their clothing. I use to buy 3 to 4 dresses in one buy but now I can hardly find one. I still shop there for underwear for my husband as I find the prices are very reasonable.
I spent time choosing some make up that was on sale on the site. The 2 main items I wanted from the order were cancelled the next day from because they were "out of stock". The other items from order I kind of added to qualify for free shipping so I'm not to thrilled that they are the only items I received. I went to the site the next day and could still put those same items in my cart. I called and spoke to customer service and asked them to make the items unavailable online. Guess, what I just tried again and can still add them to my cart. Really? That says a lot and I wont bother trying their site for anything again.
I recently placed an online order at JC Penney. I paid for the shipping to my local store. I placed my order over 2 weeks ago and I still am waiting for my order. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. No wonder they are about to go under.
JCPenney is a company that is generally expensive. Sometimes I am able to walk in and find deals that I like, but that is not often. Once I heard about a deal about towels for a penny. I went in all excited and turns out that that JCPenney location does not sell bath towels. Biggest waste of time of my life.
On a Friday evening, I ordered some pants from Amazon and, a couple of hours later, order more pants from JCP.com. The JCP order arrived on Tuesday morning, the Amazon order not until 3 days later on Friday afternoon. So much for Amazon's amazingly fast shipping. I did not have to return this order but have returned JCP orders in the past with no hassle whatsoever. All things being equal, fast shipping and great customer service make the difference.
2nd issue I've had in 7.5 months with orders through online. 1st issue couldn't order item online even though it was in stock. Go to the store and couldn't get the online sale price even though it proved to be an issue with their system as the manager tried on his phone. Now they cancel an order for "payment" when they took the money from my card when I ordered it. They don't tell the truth. Either it's out of stock or probably a horrible marketing technique and didn't even have it to start. Too many times items said out of stock and they actually had stock.
Answer: I believe that there is a policy related to coupons. The clerk did look up your. Credit card. If you had been shopping at a grocery without your coupon it would have been the same. It is nice that at times they have made an exception for you which was good customer service on their part. Perhaps you had a new clerk that was still training or very busy. You should not blame the store for one instance with one employee. You also should not expect special treatment just because someone has bent the rules in the past.
Answer: No. A waste of your money. The original warranty will suffice.
