I had this device literally since Saturday, Nov. 28,2020 until Dec. 1,2020! I have called many many times to complain. Haven't driven my car since Saturday when I put the device in. Wanna know why?! Cause my battery is drained! Finally recharged it this morning, only to be stranded at a store. The battery died again. Now I have to get my car towed. Please stay away from this company. I'm a voluntary account. They have discouraged me greatly from doing the right thing. I have already spent over $200 in Uber rides and a battery charger! For the rep. To tell my end bill is $109 and I only had this device less than 72 hours is beyond me!
I had a great experience w/Matthew Beavers! Customer service isn't what it use to be, but after my one on one w/Matthew. It brings hope back! He took the time to explain everything & had a great attitude. Thank you for your services.
I've never had an issue starting my car but I've had to pay a lockout fee several times. The fee is $75.1) My battery died. Fee!
2) I forgot to report my vehicle was being Maintenenced... Fee! 3) I used hand sanitizer and failed that test but took another test after the count down and passed several more on the way home (they have a camera in the car too)... Fee! 4) I was letting my car warn up while I used the bathroom... Fee!
Every time I call, it takes from 15 minutes to 30 minutes to get an individual on the phone. Then I have to explain my issue 5 or 6 times. Three of the representatives were very nasty and rude, one even told me to remove the device myself to have my vehicle worked on. Worst part is there are NO SUPERVISORS to speak to and no complaint area...
The Intoxalock device destroyed my first battery within 3 months. That battery was only 2 years old. I was charged $75 every time my battery would go dead. In the beginning, the representatives refused to admit that the device was doing this but I needed to drive my car every day. I bought another Duracell battery for $250. I started having the same issue. I have a remote starter and sometimes it wouldn't let my car completely turn off... dashlights still on. I had to unhook the battery. Weird codes, fast draining of my battery. I had to put my car in maintenance daily to charge my battery. I had a trickle charger too. My car is a newer Cadillac.
0 stars. Charged for exceptional fee's when deliberately unagreeded too. Only told reviewed for credit towards account. If I wasn't still on lease. Credit wouldn't reimburse. If it was my last term I wouldn't get money back. At least least Smart Star and Life Saver wouldn't have lost me so much money. Still fighting withe Intoxalock. Good luck on speaking to a human.
Picture below displays a biweekly payment after a $37.50 USD credit towards amount. (Would have owed more). Never agreed to protection plan, but charged. Was not informed of rental or charge of hand held cover (Hand Held Koozie) which was mailed and charged to me (would have declined if notified). And left stagnet with no longer able to use extension number to previous contacts to human beings. Stuck with automated messaging systems. I recommend a different company.

Well intoxalock has cost me. A lot of cash out of my pocketquestion additional couple hundred in fees that they said they would pay. With a PO number to comp out the $30 recalibration. I had to first get it calibrated within 2 weeks after having it not 2 months. Said I missed a ball. Which I did not. Took me an hour to get ahold of somebody. Then drive quarter mile down the road. And then stop to go to the gift cigarettes at a store. Here in Sonora California. They keep saying that the comp it out and then they get there and they say they don't do that when they have done it they keep choosing from one straw to the next first I going to do it and they're not they don't do it and sometimes they do if they cannot make up their mind what the freaking with straw in their head they want to pick they can't keep their story straight the customer service people are the worst ever they totally suck don't ever do this company they will piss you off go to a different company and Mabel cost you money and time take care. Liars and cheats who constantly interrupt and fight on the phone so they don't have to do any work. Horrible people. They always seem to be in court getting sued as well.
These people broke my alarm and auto start four months ago. I have spoken to managers and have spent countless hours on the phone with them to get nowhere. I live in Alaska and all winter with no auto start and no explanation. The worst experience ever, hope you choose a different business so you do not experience this.
Between the days of work I've missed due to dead batteries and bs red/failed tests... someone should hang these people in public. Nothing but a money racket. I can't believe this 'product' is even constitutional in the least. I have 4 weeks left out of a yeR and now suddenly, I'm having the worst experience to date. I'm so ready to Rio it out and just drive illegally. That's how bad it is. Go with any other company if you have the choice. Avoid these thieves at ALL costs.
This company should be put out of business, once you are paid and a customer, they don't return your email, try to call from phone number thats on file and goes directly to recording and can never reach anyone. Its been a week since I had it installed and have been trying to reach anyone, by email, chat on site that only says someone will contact me shortly., but been over a week and numerous emails... with no response at all.
Go with a different company, my mistake is I didn't look at reviews before using this company.
This company is so awful, I would not wish them on my worst enemy. Not only are they impossible to reach via phone, they will charge you even after removal, and don't do anything when their device ruins your vehicle. I will be seeing them in court.
Choose any other provider over this company. They do not have knowledgeable customer service personnel, you can only speak with a foreign call center who read a simple script in broken english that is of no value. As a repair center operator, this is the only system I have seen that does not have a disable feature for service and maintenance employees to use. Their solution to have repair technicians blow into the lock device each time the car needs to be moved during collision repair is not acceptable. This system should not pass regulations for any court jurisdiction. Also, this system has killed the battery of the host vehicle and requires a jump start each time the car is started as it constantly draws power. Terrible device from an irresponsible company. AVOID
I just drove my brothers car to the establishment that installs interlock devices to get it removed. This thing is insanely dangerous and kept failing me while I was driving even though I don't drink alcohol. After they remove the device, his dashboard clips were broken and other parts were not put back together.
I would rather try to write a letter, long hand while driving than use this device on the road.
If they conducted a test versus people having five drinks, and then driving and people trying to use this device while driving I'm sure more people will get pulled over trying to use this device because they look drunk. Swerving, blinker flashing,horn honking, kids screaming,boss texting rush-hour happening $#*! I need a drink.
For starters, the device is a POS. Mouthpieces don't securely fit into the device, so the mouthpiece if always falling out and onto the car floor, under the seat, etc. Really sanitary to be putting into your mouth. Secondly, you need to have Superman lungs to make this thing work correctly. The inhaling, exhaling, then inhaling again... it has to be perfect or it fails. Next is the ridiculousness of the amount of times having to blow WHILE DRIVING. No rhyme or reason as to when and how often. It can be 2 minutes after you started the car or 20 minutes. It's unsafe. And worst is the noise. Very loud beeping and grinding noises when alerting you to blow while driving. A real joy for my passengers, friends, family, daughter's friends, etc. And lastly - the price is just ridiculous for the leasing of this thing. Greedy as can be. There HAS to be better alternatives.
I was dead was kill my original battery and it killed two new batteries within a week and a half. So I didn't even turn the paperwork in. I told him I wanted nothing to do with your service and to come pick it up and all they seem to do was just want to send bills and listen or care about anything we had to say because they had us by the horn took advantage of the power they were given they used it and are corrupt. Would get them a zero start rating if I could. Yeah my car needs a new starter it's basically brand new and with service before I took it to the The shack they did their business out of
Don't use this company, go with another one. I have had this box for three years in March 23 and at the deadline they violated me for premature box removal. They said I didn't wait until the 3 minute countdown and locked out my vehicle I told them I never saw this in there worthless app. So I called the company and got a person who barely speaks English and he said he would review it with his manager and they billed me 80$ don't use this company
Worst customer service I have ever had. I returned the device and kept getting billed. Every time I called they asked me for all my information, I could hear them typing and then they said that there system is down. Then hung up on me. I wish I would have read the reviews before committing to it. Completely awful. DON'T use there service.
Not one single person there can help you, they can just send an email to someone else and you might get a response in 24-48 hours. Been waiting on them to send a Certificate of installation to the dmv for 5 days now to get my interlock permit. They emailed the certificate to me this morning, does me no good, the state needs it. Try calling, no one I talk to understands what the state actually wants or how to get it there. All they can tell me is that they emailed someone else and I should hear back in 24-48 hours. Ask to talk to someone who can help me with this, "no they don't talk on the phones, I just email them". An absolute joke of a company. About to pay the $200 fee to get this taken off and go somewhere else.
I transferred my device to a new vehicle. Was quoted at $300 ended up paying $500. Then I had a handheld malfunction. In which they charged me a $75 fee for reset plus service charges. I've been thru this with them over and over. They always find a loophole to charge you extra money.

Answer: No. They suck. They're parasites. They're not even very good at that. They're really more battery police than making sure people don't drive drunk. They also forgot that the people with their device are the paying customers. If you are bad to those that pay your bills, they're going to stop paying you.
