Has has problems with not being told all the violations that come with this device before you take it home because I was told about none of them and if anybody else is having the same problems I'd like you to comment because I'd like to get a petition going stating that these devices are being handed out without permission or instructions on purpose so they can collect money. Does anybody else think that it should be illegal for them to give you this device without teaching you about all the violations first because every violation causes you to pay money and if you do not have money like me then it leaves you without a car or being able to even get the device for quite a while.
I been sober for over 19 months and took 75.00 last week from my debit card.
I contacted them prior to make a complaint as they stayed with in 36 hours they will contact me.
They never did or I knew they won't. They never did!
I'm sure they did this many others and hoping a class action take place.

They have the worst customer service and they lie about their contracts rates! Don't waste your time or energy with them! What I should have done is ask for a copy their contract before using them, as I got total f$&!ed by them.
This company is basically a scam and finds any way to charge a fee. Dead batteries. Employees that just talk in circles and do nothing for the customer. I was charged for errors on the devices end and have to pay the cheap unprofessional third party companies they use to install these things. On top of that I have to pay the ridiculous fees that have 0 correlation.
The customer service is outsourced and you can't speak to anyone until you give them money. There's a fee for everything. The device kills your car battery and they charge you a fee for that. I had to use someone else's card to make a payment and they illegally put it on autopay and took hundreds of dollars without permission and their customer service department lied to me more times than I can count.
They tried to scam me out of two $75 lockout fees while I had the device (car was being serviced both times, and Intoxalock had been properly notified). Now, over 3 weeks after the removal of the device and the closure of my account, Intoxalock is still charging me a "Roadside Assistance Fee". I find this criminal, given that they never provided me with any assistance whatsoever, roadside or otherwise, nor did I ever request any such assistance from Intoxalock. Buyer beware. I do not recommend. If you have any other option to using Intoxalock whatsoever, even if the non-Intoxalock option includes jail time, take the non-Intoxalock option.
My cousin flies out of state for work and has asked me to care for her car with the intoxalock device in it. Every 3-5 days, the battery is COMPLETELY dead and requires I jump start it. Having the battery constantly drained to zero like this is going to half the brand new batteries life. I recently found out there is a "power save mode" which doesn't help the situation at all. It's getting old in a hurry, having to spend an hour plus if my time sitting in this car as it charges.i can't even go inside because I have to worry the moment I do it's gonna want me to blow again. Straight trash. But they have no problem making you pay to get it "calibrated", serviced, to tow a vehicle, etc.
The worst possible company you could go with. Lousy service, very unprofessional, I was hung up on when I tried to complain about my XM antenna being disconnected when I had the device removed. They are the most expensive, And absolutely do not go with them. If you have any breathing issues, it constantly says blow harder and you have to blow, suck blow, if you have asthma or copd you will have major problems as I did. I was over charged for things I did not ask for and charged $67. For a week past my disconnect. Fair warning, look at more reviews, they will cheat you!
Ive had to use a couple of different interlock services, Intoxalock is hands down the worst! Rates are cheaper than most but do not be deceived! This device charges you for things like turning the key before blowing! Company insists you leave the vehicle on a trickle charger if you are not driving, it draws power constantly. When it has successfully drained your vehicle battery prepare for power interruption and towing charges, will ultimately fall on you. Their main office is overseas so you'll also have the pleasure of navigating their phone trees and useless technicians who will try and rush you off the phone. This business sole success lies in its ability to extract cash from your pocket at every turn!
Go with anyone else over intoxalock unless you don't mind being afoot because of their faulty devices. I've been without a way to go for 13 days and counting and spoke with agents until I've made myself physically sick dealing with these ignorant careless POS's! On my second faulty device and first one had me stuck out of town for 5 days since they sent the device to a city 7 hrs from where I was. They then tried to charge me for the new device…. Just crooks! Save yourself the trouble and go with smart start!
Well I'd love to know why I haven't gotten this removed yet. I've requested it at least twice. Have heard anything. Roadside assistance is just a fee. I'd say I've been price gouged. Charged for there broken machine. It's simply great if you want to have a wreck trying to blow in an overpriced breathalyzer.
This company sucks…I have been impacted greatly by Covid as I am in sales and don't make the same money. I'm a single mother and doing things on my own…. I had trouble paying and needed relief…they have no sympathy. I've met two ladies that were able to help verses all the times I've called about lockouts and other questions I needed answered. The customer service sucks so bad…the device goes off while your driving which is a safety hazard. If you can avoid getting this don't get it.
Intoxalock does not help the dealership or us. Dealership calls and spends much time trying to resolve lock out as they do with other companies with like devises... no luck. I as the customer contact company and after lengthy discussion with agent reading state statutes to me can charge me $40 for a two hour window to take truck to be calibrated and then maybe we can get repairs done. I was reminded that repairs are required to be scheduled well in advance and by the way I need to sign a new contract which has to be mailed back before any work can begin. So I guess a month from now with all their fees and paperwork completed I might get my vehicle out of the shop(they may charge me rent). Seriously does anyone believe that is in any way fair or anyway to run a company. ( the rating should be minus 2 stars)
Customer service over seas like everything else in this world of America you do not get the same information from one person. Blew over got a lock out from food blew within one minute disputed the 80.25 charge due to being told if it's 5 minutes or less it wouldn't be a violation still was obviously their equipment is faulty as to left the dentist blew a. 44 but still ended up starting the car makes no sense at all even the service guy at the original install said it was a money thing with the Intoxalock. Already pay an arm and a leg granted yeah along the lines messed up but why do people need to be penalized right down to the bone?
This company has made my life a nightmare for the last 3 weeks I have had their equipment in my truck. 2 lockout from 4 faulty handhelds and draining my battery only to require you to keep having it towed amd paying them $85 plus $50 to get back on the road for issues that arent even my fault! How are they even still in business?!
I have had the run around with this company and have been charged for things that I shouldn't have which I called and had it corrected however upon closing my account I reached out to them to close it months ago when I got my license back and to no avail. They have bills that don't add up and or are just put on just because. I have been told that I was able to close my account at $140 and now I'm getting a bill for $275 and I'm blown away. I've been on hold now for 45 minutes and the time before that it was almost an hour. You reach people that shuffle you back and forth. If you read this do not put yourself through this chaos …. It's not worth your sanity or bank!
The interlock will claim lockouts even after blowing 0.00. Employees aren't helpful and there's never a supervisor when you need one. This company focuses on taking your money and that's all. You will not receive any help.
There is not 24 hour customer service as advertised, and it's difficult to get a real person. Intoxalock reported a tamper violation after I informed them of vehicle maintenance and supplied supporting documentation. This resulted in my license being revoked. Then this company charged me for an early removal fee and refused to let me speak with a supervisor. Too bad there isn't an option for no stars.
This company is a complete Rip off they will lie to you and Steal Your Money! Do not fall prey to their scams. Customer service is very rude, the rep was working from home and his dog was in the background barking very loud. Money was taken out of my bank account for a device HMU that was never installed or delivered to me. I have been calling this company for the past 48 hours just to be passed around to different departments. This company in need to be investigated, make sure you do your homework before releasing your bank card over to these crooks. Read the reviews and make sure to watch the youtube device as well. I am considering contacting the attorney general of Texas. Buyers beware! Do not trust this company.
From charging me for things that didn't happen, horrible customer service (30+ minute wait times for calls if they even answer, putting you on hold until they hang up, picking up the phone and immediately hanging up, hanging up mid conversation) their product doesn't work well either. For a week they told me they were shipping my device when I originally got it installed and it didn't show until I got ahold of someone after trying to get ahold of them for 2 1/2 hours (they'd hang up or put my on hold until the call automatically ended) horrible company. Its a literal scam. Anyone who knows a good lawyer should look into filing a lawsuit

They also forgot that the people with their device are the paying customers. If you are bad to those that pay your bills, they're going to stop paying you.
