I had my child's videos of her growing up. I also had my husband's musical performances. I was so happy to be able to view them again. Very easy to use the app and share the videos with friends and family.
I took a risk and mailed my most precious memories to iMemories and they took expert care of them and now I can watch my movies whenever I want by using the app. I can even share some videos with family and friends.

The folks at imemories did a wonderful job converting my family's film to digital. I was able to share these memories with my family on facebook! They loved it!
Negatives were scanned, but not "enhanced" as their webpage says they will. When I asked them, they replied that they do not correct scratches (etc.). I was very disappointed in this. I chose iMemories mainly because they enhanced the scanned negatives.
Took them 2 weeks after receiving the Negatives before they were scanned. My first order was done within a few days. And it was weeks before they returned the negatives this time. They were not shipped until four days after they said that they were boxed and ready to ship.
Scanned pics were good. However, five of my pics were NOT scanned. That should not have happened. It's VERY easy to compare the pic counts billed to the number of scanned pics after. Also, all my negatives were in negative pages. Each page contained the negatives in a sorted order. I would have expected them to be scanned in that same order, but they were not. Not a major issue, but it made more work for me. Also, many of the negatives were placed back into the pages backwards and/or upside-down. And some were placed on top of each other in the same slot.
Frankly, since the process leaves something to be desired, it makes me wonder if the pics were "fixed" as they were expected to be.
Also, I did not expect that I would be required to purchase another shipping box and pay for added shipping. The first box should have easily been reused, and shipping costs should not be $30.
I found the experience very frustrating because I'm not tech savvy, and I ran into dead ends and malls quite a bit in my quest to get things down loaded viewed and ordered. I did manage to download the videos, but as far as viewing them, they were very hard to see and hard to hear. I don't know if I have to set different settings up to make them better because I know the originals were fine, I don't know I just think they could have a little bit friendlier directions for everybody not just seniors thank you

The whole process was easy and within days I had some very valuable videos captured to send to my children; family memories that would have been lost forever. Just not enough time in the day to get everything done. But now, these treasures can be shared, and important people and events remembered!

Process was easy to have old videos turned to digital. Loved watching what we recorded so long ago. I would have loved to keep the videos on my phone, but don't want to keep up with $50.00 a year.
If you have 8mm videos, I highly recommend getting them converted to the iMemories app. You can download them to your devices very easily. We also had our wedding negatives that I had stored for almost 30 years and we sent those in as well - those came out incredibly well as they were taken with professional equipment. Makes a great gift to family members!
IMemories lost one of my tapes and then lied about it. And it was a ridiculous lie.
Get this: I sent them 14 tapes. When they were finally digitized and processed, I noticed that one of the tapes that appeared on their site was not mine. It was video of a different family, all strangers. Plus my 14th tape (a super sentimental and irreplaceable video of the day our son was born) was missing!
After a months long "investigation," they concluded that the 14th tape I sent them was the other family's tape. In other words, I was the one who sent them the other family's video! When they finally returned my box of tapes, there were only 13 tapes. Bottom line: they lose tapes and then blame you, even when the explanation is ridiculous.
I will never use them again. The entire purpose of their business is to help preserve analog memories. Instead, they permanently lose them. And then lie about it. At a minimum, they should own up to their error and apologize. But nope, that didn't happen. Doing the right thing is another thing they have lost.
I was very happy when I was able to view my videos on my IPhone, IPad, and TV 😊 IMemories did a wonderful job in restoring my videos. Although, I did have a few videos that couldn't be saved due to mold, but i was very pleased with the videos I received back. I will be placing another order with them very soon.
My dad had tapes from 32 years ago and home videos that none of us had seen. He filmed our lives and captured moments with family members we no longer have with us. Imemories was a really quick and efficient process and is definitely worth the investment.
I paid over $400 and the upload quality was not great. Beginning of each video had a short snippet of another video I have seen this in a few of my videos. I have to send an email to get these fixed. The cost is high but I needed it done. Also, having to pay for keeping them in a site is also a bummer.
Hi Sheila, Thanks for your feedback. The issue you are seeing with the video clips is a glitch in the website. That short clip you see at the beginning is not on the actual video. If you download it or save it on DVDs/USB drive you would not see that issue. This does only happens occasionally and is something our team is looking in to. The iMemories cloud storage subscription is optional. It is one of the four ways all customers have save their memories. I researched many companies and found this one to have the best reviews and reliability. I was nervous about sending my memories through the mail. It all arrived safely at the facility and back to me. I am happy with the service that I received.
I am not happy that I had to spend an additional $55 to access my memories after paying $1500 to have it all preserved. When spending that kind of money, a year's membership should be given.

IMemories specializes in creating a digital copy of old home movie films, videotapes, photos, slides, and negatives so they can be viewed again with today's technology. Negatives are dry cleaned, scanned through dust filters and put through a color correction process to ensure the colors look natural. If the negatives are scratched, have embedded dust or debris, you may want to consider restoration services that are beyond the digital conversion that iMemories offers.
