I've used I-Herb a few times. You never know when stock will be in - unreliable when wanting to re-order. Problem is how they handl e damaged product. I received a damaged item, and instead of them mailing out a new one, they said they would only refund me the money. However I am an international customer, which means I would have to pay shipping, duties and taxes all over again on the product. They refunded me only for the product amount, and after much going back and forth with them, they stated "as a courtesy", they would refund me 20% of the duties and taxes. Then they wanted me to send them a copy of the receipt. I advised them the order #, and advised them they had access to the order as they were the ones that submitted ME with a receipt, but no, I had to send them a copy of the receipt to get the 20% refund of duties and taxes, but didn't have to submit it to get the refund of the product. I figure they think if they can screw with you enough you'll just give up. Other companies are far better at refunding damaged items and actually care about keeping their customers. Go elsewhere.
This used to be my go to for supplements. Always the best prices and only a $20 minimum for free shipping. The rewards were great too. Now, they don't even have a shipping policy anywhere on their site and i tried to order something today for $37 and they wanted $5 for shipping. There rewards went down from 10% to 5%. Plus, their once great prices are now as high as everyone else's. I'll go back to buying things on EBAY.***SIGH
Today I got my bottle of maca. California Gold Nutrition Peruvian Maca. When I saw the expiration date it said expires 9/2016. The date today is Februaray 23 2017. I email them I received an expired bottle they told me to send pictures to *******@iherb.com I send them like 10 messages of the pictures and still lied to me that they didnt recieve my pictures. I didnt get no refund. Iherb the worst supplement online store never buying from them again.
IHerb used to be my favorite site for ordering healthy food and vitamins because it provided free shipping, discount and fast service. Then about a year ago, there were damaged items in every single one of my orders, one time even got a totally wrong order of some hardware items. Stopped ordering from them. Happened to find some bottles of granite cleaners only available in their site. Ordered eight bottles on 2/8/17, then UPS kept delaying the delivery date and finally no info was available. Tried to call iHerb but they had no number to call. Live chat with them and they said one bottle was damaged and refunded me for one bottle. Then said they would re-deliver the rest on 2/15, never got them, called them on 2/18, they gave me the original tracking number but later said the whole order was damaged. Said they would give me credit, as of 2/23, saw no credit. Filed a claim with credit card. Ordered same items from Vitacost.com and got them after 3 days, nothing damaged and much cheaper. Problem is not UPS but iHerb's warehouse did not pack their items correctly and did not care. I do not believe they would last too much longer. Sad.
Unfortunately, I also didn't check the reviews until experiencing their so-called ridiculous customer service. I also ended up paying a further 50% more on the price of the items I bought due to custom charges (and even then, the price of the products were £10 cheaper two weeks after I bought them but no explanation offered/ no gesture of goodwill). Please be aware and go somewhere else
Hi iHerb customers, be carefully of all the extra fees charged by iHerb and the DHL delivery, the price seems a good deal but at the end it is more expensive than all the other website with a very poor customer experience and very time consuming
Ordered and paid for my 1st shipment on the 02/07/2017 and it was promised to be delivered to the PO box in Hawaii by the 14th Feb. Tracking details said it arrived at the post office on the 9th Feb. By 20th Feb still nothing.
No support nor assistance from iherb.

I guess I should have found this site before ordering from iHerb because upon a brief review here there are just pages and pages of BAD reviews and negative comments. Silly me eh..
"World's Best Value!" my $#*!! They don't state the facts, they don't say where delivery is coming from and that custom charges will apply. I would bought similar product if I knew about it. My total price was increased by 63%. Their customer service said that they have information somewhere on their website. What about this so important info during your purchase? So next time I will buy from honest sellers and I will STAY AWAY from iherb for good!
I was really excited to order from i herbs, however got a note prom post office i need to pay 15 £ of custom charge!@ and thats for one bottle of vitamins! Never ever order from them
Been using iHerb for about 2 years, on a regular basis. Being from Canada, shipping was free for a while which was great. Then that promotion ended and shipping was reasonable. That was fine and out of their control. Then the customer service went to online chat ONLY. Impossible to call and talk to someone. Chat takes forever. Now if all goes well one doesn't need chat, but when your credit card gets over charged, and some account credits you had accumulated are gone missing, this is when it gets bad. The chat agent was willing to help, but not helpful. Said he forwarded the situation to a supervisor. Been 8 days and have not heard anything back. I will contact them again to try to get the appropriate refund and place a last order (with free shipping I was offered "for my inconvenience", but it will the the LAST ORDER I EVER PLACE WITH iHerb, EVER.
I waited 8 days after I received an email from iherb that they shipped my package before finally calling UPS whose customer support(actual live human being) told me that they in fact received an order to process a label but shipper (IHERB) did not send package and that I should contact the shipper(IHERB) I then proceeded to find out they have no working phone number and you can only send emails and the live chat does not work! They then responded to my email apologized and let me know they were re- shipping and I received it 3 days later. So after a little frustration I ended up satisfied but I would have still preferred being able to talk to a live person when I initially noticed a problem.
Ordered things for 55$ and got two identical order mail. Contacted them directly but they couldn't do anything so I needed to wait until everything reached Sweden to make one package go back. Then I needed to convince the customer (by talking to bosses etc) that it want my mistake (which it wasn't!) and in the end I needed to pay the taxes for what I didn't even receive. Never again!
There no longer is "International Airmail" for Canadian iHerb customers. I got slammed at the post office because I had chosen "Global Mail" thinking it was the same thing. After researching, I found that Global Mail and Global Mail Plus are ALL under DHL (very sneaky!). At the border they place a sticker on your DHL parcel with the added Duties/Taxes (Mine was$15! - parcel was under 4lbs and over $20) I will not be buying from iHerb again. Unfortunate because their prices were good.

I just received my first order from iHerb and was horrified to note that I had to pay an additional third of the order price in fees and other charges. The order was sent COD even though the shipping charge was already included in the price.
Just want to make sure that other buyers from Canada are AWARE that the price you see on the order is not what you pay. So it maybe better to shop around as the same products are available locally too. I feel this is not acceptable and iHerb is deceiving the customers by not clearly stating that additional cost will be incurred when the goods are received. Very disappointed and will not order again
I totally agree with you. I ordered from IHerb and now i need a week off, so i could take my package from the customs. I don't have the time. I wanted to return the package or just to get help from IHerb, but they don't care. I sent them quotes from their site, which proved, they wrong, they sent me quotes from their site, which proved I'm wrong. So... the information on their site is deluding, inaccurate, you'll need to reed a whole day, just to know, what will happen if you order... so just don't!
Ordered twin lab two cap vitamins and received one cap instead
I have using two cap once a day for years to me this could be a critical mistake to use these.
Never, I repeat, never order from them! My order was supposed to be here by Jan. 13, according to the tracking! It never arrived, and Im still without product, or money! This was my first time ordering, and although a small order, it never arrived! I emailed them to explain this, because guess what., you aren't able to call customer service... go figure, first sign they are a $#*!ty company who obviously don't care about customer service! I'm yet to get a resolution, just keep getting these emails stating contact my local postal service, which I emailed them back, and stated that the order should have been returned since it wasn't received by the customer! Just got another email stating to contact my local postal service, as if they don't get how the postal service works when mail isn't delivered! They return it to sender! Smh never again, but I'm still going to pursue some resolution, even reporting them to the BBB as scammers, and crooks!
There is no customer service what so ever. If you have a problem with the order, they don't care. You are unable to return an item. Never again!
I began ordering from iherb from the very time they started. I've even talked to the owner on the phone who was very kind and accommodating. However, what has happened to this company? The discount structure used to be great and the prices the best on the internet. Now, they are by far the most expensive! $65 for a product that I can get at Swanson or on Amazon for $43. I've taken them off my list and don't even bother anymore. What is Shame!
I love the products I ordered. The prices are reasonable. It shipped in half the time they promised on the website. This would have been a 5-star shopping experience, but after paying for shipping to then get hit up at the post office for $15 on a $70 order (approx 22%, which makes no sense considering everything I ordered was made in a NAFTA country) makes me seriously wonder if they just pocketed the "shipping" that I paid.

Answer: Yes you will be charged extra, they dont make it clear when you place an order, but I was asked to pay an extra £15 sterling before they would deliver my goods to my home, so I refused and am waiting a refund of my order which they now tell me will take up to 6 months, not a good company to deal with, buy from home if I were you, I will not purchase from america again.
