It is not made clear on the website that extra customs charges are likely to be imposed by your home country. If you're not already familiar with the extra costs of ordering items from a company which is not VAT registered in your own country, this could easily be a big shock when the item is delivered. My customs charge was more than the cost of the original item.
First, I bought $50 bucks worth of different sleep aids and not one works, I can mix them a together and it still won't work.
I got an email Thursday saying there was a breach and my credentials were leaked well low and behold there is a charge on my debit card that I did not make... don't do business with them.
I ordered supplements and paid RS. 5825 (including shipment charges to DHL). I got a call from DHL saying pay Rs. 3,827 for customs duty. I ended up paying.
Definitely use caution and prudence.
I ordered vitamin E from them and payed 894 rupees then gave 550 for courier charges, now DHL asking me 1400 (handling + custom duty charges) to receive my shipment or end up paying further panelties if not picked up within a week time. I feel badly cheated here don't know what to do.

Received leaked and spilled products every now and then because of poor packing. I wrote emails to complain and iherb sent me a form reply and issued a refund. Still, it would be much better if they take the time to improve their packing in the first place instead of causing inconvenience again and again. Not sure if their so-called 'Apologies' are well meant when all u get is the same reply.
Avoid to buy any item from this foolish company. I ordered an item and I paid including delivery. After a week I got a note saying I need still to pay for delivery otherwise the item will be returned in 24 days. I asked thr customer service about and say that you have to pay that cost fee. That's so bad! Avoid at all this website! They even do not bother replying to your enquiry. Be aware!
I ordered one tube of Great Lakes Gelatin Collagen Hydrolysate on march 13, and got it here 21 march. I used a 5$ discount code so the price without shipping was $18.22. I chose the cheapest shipping method. I read the reviews after ordering and was afraid i had to pay extra, which i didnt. Possibly cause my order was below 22,- i dont know. Happy with my first order.
They never delivered my vitamins and refused to return all the money I paid them.

The site advertises all inclusive delivery but you will get a large customs bill on top of the order if you want UK delivery. £18 on top of my order! They haven't even bothered to reply to my email querying this. Seriously, AVOID
iHerb.com has gone down in customer service and shipping. My last two orders both had broken bottles. It was due to inadequate bubble wrap packaging as the boxes weren't damaged. Although they replaced the items quickly, it bothers me that they are too cheap to package according to UPS standards. I am glad now that UPS Next Day Air is now free. I will now stop buying products in glass bottles from them. I do like the fact that they have a large inventory, so some items I must buy from them not available locally. Another negative is no phone support and chat not working sometimes.
I didn't get refund even though they recieved my order back undamaged. It's a very bad way of treating customers, and I was a faithful one. Well I won't be ordering anything from them anymore.
Since it's been under new management customer service is non existent. Literally. You can't even call them anymore. Via email they'll encourage you to use their live chat but the hours leave a lot to be desired.
Last week I paid for next day shipping only to receive the package 4 days later with an apology. IHerb + it's apologies fall short contrasted against who they used to be. I'm a long time customer of ten years and I'm moving on. Sad to say. It seems the customer is iHerb last priority now a days. Bummer. IHerb used to be awesome.

9 day after ordering my products. Which i never recieved. I emailed them asking about my package. They said go to your local post office and find out. I went to the post office they didnt have the package. I emailed iherb again about my package and after 9 days waiting for my order (which originally was suppose to get here in 2 days) they cancelled my order and were really rude. I would never order with them.
I bought the Raw Meal Replacement (Garden of Life) only to learn later that the FDA recalled it for Salmonella contamination. My product was among the contaminated batch. I didn't get sick, but I never was notified of the risk. When I emailed IHerb customer service, they promised they would look into it and respond. After 10 days, no response, so I contacted them again by the chat function on their homepage. Initially, they offered nothing. No explanation of safety policies regarding recalled products, and no offer of refund because my complaint was over a year after my purchase. Finally they offered to credit my account on my next purchase. I indicated that didn't address the safety concerns and expected answers about they intend to ensure the safety of their customers. They promised(again) to look into it. After another week, no response. Truly despicable company. Stay away.
Ordered from iherb to be delivered to the U. K. There was no clear reference whatsoever to extra VAT charges by the DHL. Contacted customer service right away and was told that I could refuse to pay and they would refund upon receiving my parcel back. Just got an email saying that they decided to abandon my package and not to refund! $53 down the drain..

Answer: Yes you will be charged extra, they dont make it clear when you place an order, but I was asked to pay an extra £15 sterling before they would deliver my goods to my home, so I refused and am waiting a refund of my order which they now tell me will take up to 6 months, not a good company to deal with, buy from home if I were you, I will not purchase from america again.
