I have been ordering from iherb for two years now. They have outsources their customer support to an online company. You will never speak to a human. Also, their shipping department is totally incompetent. I order several herbs in glass containers. These are destroyed in shipment at least 30% of the time.
I placed an order for product from IHERB and 3 of their shipments were damaged in shipping and never reached me. One replacement shipment was lost. I've been overcharged and the only customer service is outsourced via chat and they're useless.
I'm now out over $100 and unless I dispute the charge with my bank I'm pretty much out of luck. I will be reporting them to the CA Office of Consumer Protection
I've ordered a couple of times from this company and the vitamins always arrive very fast. Everything is intact in the box. Happy with the service so far.
I bought some bars which usually last a long time in the package. They sent me bars that were so rock hard that they were inedible. They refused to refund my order and do not have a customer service phone number. I won't be using them again.
I've been buying from iherb for 10-15 years; I had slowed down when they started this new "rewards" system that expires too quickly. Today, they emailed me an offer for $5 off my next order (good only for 48 hrs.). I ordered $45 or so worth of supplements. The website showed the $5 credit when I logged in, but after reviewing my order (after it was complete), I realized they didn't give me $5 off! I emailed them; the lady first responded requesting me to email them a "copy of the email screen" (the offer, I guess). I sent them back a nasty reply stating that they'd lost a long-time customer, and she emailed back something vague about $2.88 in "rewards". This company is clearly feeling heavy competition from Amazon (who isn't?), and they've decided to "nickel & dime" their customers any way they can.

Ordered $185 of products, two flax oil and three joint repair. Order had not come after 7-8 days and tracking was no good so I got on a chat. After quite a long wait, I was told simply, "the order is being reshipped."
So after about two weeks UPS comes w/a box imprinted all over with: "Office Depot." The box was very damaged, looked like it had gone to China and back, it was patched together with tape and had all kinds of labels marked off w/black marker. Inside the box was a plastic bag w/a piece of styrofoam (on top of everything), then a very damaged, old, ratty, filthy dirty extremely large white plastic bag (large enough for a christmas tree disposal), then inside the bag was the three bottles of joint repair... dirty, filthy and very "used" looking, then in brown wrapping paper, soiled w/the oil which had leaked, were the two bottles of flaxoil. Both caps were loose and oil was all over the bottles. The leakage onto the brown paper is very easily seen in pictures I took. Then, in the very bottom of this Office Depot box were two pieces of cardboard, ripped, folded 3 times, to cushion the bottom of the box. Pictures I submitted were not accepted and after trying several times to get someone to understand what happened, I just gave up. This was evidently the order I placed May 13,2017 and it went 'round the world, ended up at Office Depot, and then got sent to me on May 24,2017.
I have been ordering supplements for years, literally, and NEVER, ever had anything this filthy come to my home. It was so nasty I had it put out in my garage and as I began to open it, I became more and more appalled.
One of my inquiries into this came back w/a response about some kind of flavoring, I believe the man said raspberry...? Could not figure this one out at all.
So, this is the last resort for reporting this all under one roof... and I am certainly finished w/IHerb in the future.
We've just come back from our holiday and my order is waiting for me at the Post Office as they couldn't be delivered - there is an £11.90 Customs Charge owing on an £18 order. I needed them sooner, as they took forever to arrive, as I didn't know they were an American based company until after I'd purchased them. A company based in Colchester had 5000 iu Vitamin D3 for £9.365 soft gels, in a plastic flat pack - very snazzy which arrived in 2 days. This is where I'll get them in future.
I still haven't received my product that was due on the 22nd of april and they don't answer my emails!
I paid £107 for a product which wasn't delivered. Despite many emails they refused to take responsibility for the safe delivery of their products. They refunded me £53.
Although iHerb has a Canadian domain (iherb.ca), they ship from the USA and you will be charged an enormous brokerage fee. In my case my order with shipping was apx $55 and the additional brokerage fee was $33.
Be sure to find a site that clearly states what additional fees will be incurred.
I purchase regularly from iherb and I was always satisfied. Just once happened that a bag of flour inside the parcel broke. I contacted the customer service that was very helpful and promptly responding. They requested images of the damage which I sent and received refund.
I've been a loyal iHerb customer for more than 15 years. While I liked iHerb better when my loyalty credits didn't expire every few weeks, they are still the best place to get vitamins and supplements. The variety is amazing and the quality is excellent and the prices are more than reasonable in comparison to other stores (online or in person) where these items are sold. I've never had a bad experience here and have nothing but confidence in their products.
APPALLING: Had to pay £20 custom charge on a £60 order which was supposed to be free shipping. IHerb agreed to refund half the charge. If I didn't accept the charges, they said they would deduct any shipping charges off the refunded amount - dispicable! Never had this before with oversee shipments. Website is completely misleading!
They took my money and when I told them the parcel wasn't delivered, they did not care. The poor reps on their chat - because they have no phone lines. They tried to help, but their "logistics team" didn't care at all. THIS IS THE WORST COMPANY FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND DELIVERY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!
My items arrived promptly, well packed and in very good condition. iHerb.com is the best online store.
I've been a loyal customer of iHerb for about 6 years now and have been served very well. They have continued to carry so many good products, fairly priced and have excellent service. I am so grateful they always have our usual supplements we need on a steady ongoing basis, great prices and so much more! The turn around is lightning speed, we usually receive our orders in a couple of days!
Bought razor 8 prework out as a gift for my friend, they texted me and asked if I could exchange it because it was expired. Im so embarrassed and disappointed and so sad. $40 down the drain
They made a special offer of 5% discount - but upon checking the details of the order I realized that it wasn't applied... The costumer service suggested they would apply it manually.
Plus, I submitted some products reviews, but for some reason, they didn't presented some of the critical reviews that I wrote... what made me suspect that all the reviews thing is not really trustworthy...

As always, ordering was simple, prices were great, and shipping was very fast! Iherb has unbeatable prices on some difficult to find gluten free items that I require. The ordering process is clear and efficient and I always get my order in about 2-3 days! In the meantime, I can track items easily from the emails I received every step of the way. The items are packed well - important when you are ordering food and household cleaning items at the same time. Answer: Yes you will be charged extra, they dont make it clear when you place an order, but I was asked to pay an extra £15 sterling before they would deliver my goods to my home, so I refused and am waiting a refund of my order which they now tell me will take up to 6 months, not a good company to deal with, buy from home if I were you, I will not purchase from america again.
