UNRELIABLE

Order #*******

I ordered 2 x turmeric powder for my mom who's sick and I saw there's free shipping for orders over $59. So I added more items before checking out.

Then A FEW HOURS LATER they email me that it's been shipped WITHOUT the turmeric because it's out of stock. So I email them that the turmeric is still up for purchase on the website and they reply that it's NOW back in stock and I can re-order it, but now I have to pay more for postage. And it's just been a few hours since I'd first placed my order.

Their replies don't make any sense and each email is sent from a different attendant.

España cuidado, tendras que pagar 24,58 euros adicionales a la hora en que correos te entregue el paquete en tu casa por motivos de costos de aduanas. Y tienes que hacerlo, por que me puse en contacto con iHerb y me dicen que lo sienten mucho pero tengo que hacerlo aunque le exprese que no soy un abogado que no mira la letra pequeña por que cuando compres por DEFECTO te aparecera envios sin taxas de aduana y si fuera una compañia buena te apareceria envio con taxas incluidas. Asi q leete la letra pequeña y seas habial en encontrar como cambiar el metodo de envio que trae por defecto.

I have just had the displeasure of receiving a duty charge from the post office (UK) because my order, WITH mailing fees, amounted to £19. NOW I have been slapped with an ADDITIONAL £12 to retrieve the order. Somehow, SOMEone did not read that order correctly and tacted on the mailing fees as a TOTAL to be subject to duty. CLEARLY they only had to put the goods amount.

I spoke to an iHerb customer service representative (******* Harley Knox Blvd, Perris, CA ******* USA) and she relayed that they are not responsible for the duty charges. No matter HOW many times I tried to explain that the actual order amount was less than the allowed amount, I was told that this was not their responsibility.

I then explained that I would be sending the order back. She responded that shipping fees etc would not be refunded, which would total the amount of the order-- FULL STOP! So now I am stuck with PAYING DUTY FEES (their own $#*! up) which is not worth the amount of the product initially and I CANNOT send the order back without losing the total cost (shipping and all) of the order!

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. YOU WILL BE DONE.

Liers and cheaters

A WARNING from a person who ordered from iHerb. If you want to receive your order, shop somewhere else. If you don't want to loose money, stay away from iHerb. I read plenty of reviews prior to leaving my own, and I must say I was not surprised to see so many people with similar terrible experience. IHerb lies about the prices, doesn't ship out orders on time and indeed have the worst customer support services I've ever come across. My only advice to those who already placed an order is contact your bank and request a chargeback. Because iHerb won't handle your problem professionally.

I used to order things on iherb before and never had problems. But this time. Holly s... So I was supposed to get my parcel 2 weeks ago. I waited patiently and would wait a bit longer maybe, if i wasnt leaving the country for a business trip. First of all email responses were super slow, i get response the next day not within even few hrs,. Which wastes my time (not counting that i waited for 14 extra days for delivery so far). Second, I contacted their customer service online and all the time answers were sample texts, which made me think they are bots, i asked couple questions to check if they were real people, but no. They are bots. So they will never actually care about each single case individually. Third they said the problem was with the carrier, but they never called a carrier, they emailed and just waited to carrier to respond them via email. When I asked for contact details of manager, they said they cant help me with this either. Also they dont refund the money unless they get the order back to their warehouse. So now, i didnt get my goods, and nobodys even trying to refund my money, even tho all of this was their mistake, its not me who didnt take care of the order, its not me who lost the parcel and its not me who didnt make my job well. But its me who wasted my time and money. Iherb is not as good as before. Choose other site, same products and prices tho

Crooked company

Was excited to find the same product I had been buying from a local store for a cheaper price on iherb site. Well big mistake! You get what you pay for. I received old rancid oil that was obviously not the same quality as the same brand I've been purchasing from the store. I returned the product as instructed and have yet to receive a refund. 2 months later and several attempts to speak to management and all I got was excuses and now they've resorted to just ignoring me completely. So they have the products and my $ and I can't even speak to a human to resolve. Crooked company stay clear!

Holy jesusssssss this was the worst experience of my life, what a joke of a company! I have a feeling they have issues with their stock but don't want to tell you they're out of certain items! So they let you waste your time, make a purchase and in the end HOURS later tell you there was a problem with payment. I tried with 3 different credit cards until I decided to contact them and then, they gave me the run around telling me they would authorize my account in 2-3 business days? Ok. OK. OK bye.
Do yourself a favor and steer away from these clowns. Terrible customer service experience as well.

I bought 8 tins of Shea butter and they arrived in a much used, old box and the product was old and expired probably years ago. The packaging was old too as I am very familiar with the product and know what it should look like. The Shea butter had a nasty odor, wouldn't consider putting it on my skin. The Customer Service team quickly denied my request for a refund and is requiring I send back the product and pay the shipping expense myself. I will never buy from them again. The price was lower than everyone else. That should have been my clue. Wish I could rate them minus 5 stars.

I bought several cans of salad oils and some of the cans were dented. The box was not damaged so I am left to wonder if they sent the product that way. I complained and they said it was too late to pack better. OF COURSE it's too late, I RECEIVED THE PACKAGE, how else would I know the cans were dented. Vitacost has better service.

Hidden custom charges

I bought $130 USD and finally in Canada I had to pay 40 more for duty charges. In iHerb website DON'T appears any note advising about this new charges, and when I've complained, just gave me back 9 dollars.

Really I don't know if it is a legal practice, but I'm sure that iHerb know about this situation in Canada (In this case) and they don't do anything to avoid this extra cost in their customers.

I don't recommend to buy anything with iHerb.

If i could do less than one star, I would. I pay extra shipping for express and the company states "delivered" when it never was. They are using a company that has no phone number and has clear reviews that states they claim items were delivered and they weren't. I work from home and was here at the stated time. No one rang the bell and there was no delivery. You can't call customer service, only online chat. Her response "oh it says that was delivered". Clearly not Camile, that's why I am messaging. Sends it to "logistics" and will take 3 business days just to hear back. So much for express shipping. When I ask for a refund on my express shipping, I get the same recording "72 hours to respond" I am thinking Camile isn't even a real person. HIGHLY disappointing.

I have had a few unfortunate shipping issues with iHerb. Three times going to the wrong address, a few times being left out in the pouring rain with no plastic protection for the box, the items inside soaking wet boxes. This last time was it for me as some of the items were gifts I can not give now. I explained all of this to iHerb and sent pictures of the damage, and I feel that the response of "we are sorry and we will tell the appropriate department" doesn't cut it for me. What department? It is clearly a shipping issue but they should back their products when shipping fails to deliver their products properly. They never mentioned sending me out new items to make up for this. So after years of ordering from them I feel I can no longer support this site.

The website would not allow me to place my order due to an "error in my basket" which would not go away no matter what I ordered. It also didn't stop "iherb netherlands b. V. amsterdam" from charging my credit card for an order I couldn't place (why not iherb US?... is this now a scam site?).

Tech support gave me the run around for two weeks and said their was no fix, but that I should "keep trying". I had to cancel my credit card and get a new one and I told iHerb to cancel my account.

Do NOT give them credit card access. AVOID!

I tried to place an order, but when I went to register since I do not have a mobile # (along w/20% of the population) they would not allow me to order. In two decades of internet shopping they are the first ever company to require that to order. They don't even allow customers to speak to a person; just chat (I tried it & it was like speaking to a scripted response) or email.

I placed an order number ******* on 7 April 2019. DHL Call me to pay 555.55$ for customs in Egypt which is cheating and stealing, of course i refuse to pay.so they want me to pay or they will take my parcel. I toled them to refund, iherb wants to take from my money 305.26$ and then return the rest which is 97$. This is funny! You must be kidding. This is an obvious steal.
Why the shippment was not 303.26$ when i placed the order or it subjected to whims not law and standards!?

They sent me the wrong stuff. I returned it (drove 10 miles to UPS to fix their mistake before they would do anything) and they promised a refund. Escalated to management, reported to BBB, spoke to one of their "leaders" who has promised for 2 weeks now that he would take care of it... nope. They are a good company until they screw up... they don't know how to fix their mistakes because of the "bots" handling customer service. Dump 'em. Back to Amazon for me.
