It was wonderful to work with Hoveround. They walked us thru the process to a successful conclusion. We are having to do follow up as the chair doesn't recline as expected. The process is going well.
Process of getting a new chair, was ok. Chair was delivered. Tried to get service on old chair, got the runaround for over two months. I think the wait time when you call in is ridiculous.
I'm hoping I qualify for a 4 wheel power scooter. I've had friends in the past that had this type nothing but good reviews so if I get one I'm sure I will be very satisfied.
I had ordered parts from your company and it took over 1 week to get them upon calling your parts dept spoke with Mike G asking about the parts I said to him why not send a tech out with the parts as I did not think I would ever get them he said it would cost me $120 for the tech to come out here. I said I would be glad to pay that but then he told me I would be paying again for the parts I said it was not my problem I had not got them he told me it was "my problem" NOT I asked to speak to a supervisor he put me on hold I left a message to call me back and never heard a thing then yesterday I sent an email about this and asked to be called back and still not heard back. Guess no one cares from hoveround. Still waiting for call back you asked for review and now you have it
Excellent. From my first inquiry, scheduling my Dr appointment, applying and following through with Medicare, delivery and set-up, your staff made the entire process simple.
These people are full of lies and false hope. My client purchased a powerchair from these people and three months later the motor goes out, and instead of replacing the chair, theyve been giving us the run-around for 6mo. Now. One lie after another. Ashame a Company this size would choosr this route.
I've been trying to get service for a client's wheelchair for the past four months. I had to report the company to the Better Business Bureau... their response to the Better Business Bureau was a blatant lie... stating that they had fixed the chair and quoted the client stating "it worked great". (I had just talked to the client that morning and he has been stuck in his room for the past three weeks because the chair died and they haven't sent a technician out yet... he has to eat in his room, hobble at fall risk to the bathroom, can not socialize, or seek the mental health treatments he needs for suicidal depression, has missed multiple doctors appointments etc.). If you are going to be a company that sells wheelchairs... inherently those who need wheelchairs are a vulnerable population... have some damn ethics and compassion. Completely horrified that this is happening. Each time I call I'm on hold for over an hour before speaking to someone and nothing gets resolved. I spoke to the resolutions department, the HR department, technicians etc. Everyone had a different story. I cant believe how atrocious this is! If you can DO NOT USE HOVEROUND as a provider... if there were negative stars i would put them.
WE WERE VERY EXCITED TO RECEIVED NOTICE OF DELIVERY FOR THE SCOOTER THAT MY HUSBAND WAS NEEDING VERY MUCH, THIS SCOOTER IS PRACTICAL AND FUNCTIONAL AND SAFE, HOWEVER IT IS BEEN ONLY A WEEK HE HAS BEEN PRACTICING SUCCESSFULLY,
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
From start to finish the Hoveround Company goes out of their way to make sure you get the mobility chair that you need. Fast and efficient! I definitely recommend them.
They set me up to get a new chair in minutes and a new controller for the I have. This company knows there job better than anyone I talk with about anything I buy.
From the assistance over the phone, then the 2 times that Mike visited our home, we were treated exceptionally well. We could not be more pleased with our experience. Thank you to all involved.
Was very pleased with how quick they act. The gentleman who delivered was very informative showed me all about the chair, and made sure i was ok operating it before he left. GREAT CO.
VERY USER UNFRIENDLY.
DOES NOT HOLD CHARGE. TOGGLE SWITCH OPERATION IS AWKWARD AND NOT EASY TO CONTROL.
OVERPRICED, TOO HEAVY TO MOVE IF POWER DIES.
WISH I HAD READ THE REVIEWS BEFORE WE BOUGHT.
DON'T EVEN THINK OF TRYING TO GET RID OF IT IF YOU WANT TO SELL.
BEST BET! GIVE IT TO SOMEONE WHO LOVES MECHANICAL THINGS.
IT TAKES THE PRECISION OF A LASER SURGEON TO OPERATE AND IS A BIG NUISANCE TO KEEP CHARGED.'
THE RAMPS TO ALLOW ENTRY AND EXIT ARE EVEN MORE UNMANAGEABLE, ESPECIALLY THE LONG RAMP THAT FOLDS FOR TRANSPORT. NO HANDICAPPED PERSON COULD SET IT IN PLACE OR FOLD IT UP.
LOOK FOR A SCOOTER THAT IS EASIER TO MANEUVER AND HAS; HANDLE BARS OR A DRIVING WHEEL. DOWN WITH TOGGLE SWITCHES.
TO END, THESE WERE THE GOOD POINTS ABOUT OUR HOVEROUND. THERE IS NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO WRITE THE BAD POINTS HERE.
I'm very happy to have this Hoveround. It has given me a great sense of freedom. The serviceman Mr. Thoung was very professional and nice. Thank you so much!
Hoveround has FANTASTIC techs. If you've Medicare or Medicade they have to approve EVERYTHING, sadly it takes longer than We would like. When calling it sucks that we can't deal directly to a tech but a call center. If you get a good tech he'll provide his work cell. My TECH is Ed and he's gone far above any beyond to tend to me.
They were quick to take care of my needs, where other companies just gave me the runaround. I'm very impressed by the quality of their service.
Cathilina, thank you for taking the time to leave your kind review and high-star rating! We appreciate your feedback and look forward to passing your comments along to the team here at Hoveround. Have a great day!
Your hoverround aged was very informative with me about everything that I would need to own & operate my chair thing not to do! He should be elevated to a senior position in your
Hooveround sales literally hounded my mom multiple times daily until she bought a supposedly new chair. Within six months the electrical arm unit went out and stranded her. (She is wheelchair bound) called for service and all the eager niceness of the salespeople was GONE... Long phone holds, rude people and a two week wait until a technician could come out. When he came he did not have correct part and we had another weeks wait until he could come back out. They could care less that my mom lost all independence and was forced to incontinence, not to mention our concern for falls during this three weeks. Told us it was not profitable to have another tech in our area to support service. (Seriously said this). Now 3 months later the motor has gone out and from date of request for service to scheduled tech visit is 3 weeks. Since this chair is less than a year old I inquired about them replacing it... It is a lemon for a supposedly new chair to have major breakdowns twice within 1 years. No way, was their response. I asked if the warranty could be extended due to the severity of the problems. No way again. This company is a rip off and takes no pride in their product. My mom uses this chair mostly from chair to bathroom, always inside (never outside) and my mom is not overweight. There is no excuse. DO NOT FALL for THEIR SALES PITCH!
The agent I dealt with was greatly lacking in phone smiles' and personality! I felt as if she was asleep or on break having to converse with me. Was NOT impressed at all!
Keith that brought me the chair explained everything in detail and was so very nice he covered the booklet and told me if I had questions or if something goes wrong call him
Answer: So sorry to hear that. I am no longer living with my father-in-law, but I can add to my earlier review and comments. The company did exactly the same thing to him, again. A year later. They got in touch to say that Medicare had accepted their appeal and that the chair was now finally his, and they sent a guy round with the paperwork for signature and everything looked great. It subsequently turned out that Medicare hadn't approved anything and didn't know anything at all about the appeal, and that they were not going to pay. The story that Hoveround gave me was smoke and mirrors and back came the bill for the chair again. As far as I know, a year and a half on, the chair is still not officially his. I probably won't hear anything more about it now, but I'm quite glad I don't have to deal with these people yet again.

Answer: Yes, if doctor can prove medically necessary. Doctor must make file notes to support and you must have an office visit that only addresses the need for your chair.
