I purchased a beautiful dresser through Houzz. I did not read reviews until after I purchased the item, then of course I was worried. I am now glad I didn't read previously because it may have stopped my purchase. Everything was great, Houzz was very quick with replying, tracking info. Item was sent truck, white glove service, straight from manufacturers and total set up in my room. Outstanding service
Bought some solar lights beginning of October, when they came in they did not work, I wanted to return them was not given the option instead they e mailed me saying houzz will send me a replacement a month later still doing with out lights
Bought 2 picture frames. They shipped only one but charged me for both. I called to cancel but instead they shipped out and would not refund me. I am still waiting for a response from Houzz. This is the worst customer service I have ever had... i will never use them again. Don't uses them!
Defective chair on an expensive dining set. Continually called/emailed this company with no response back for 3 months. Then they told us to contact the manufacturer of the chair unwilling to stand behind the product they sell or a customers purchase.
Ordered and received quickly. Got a stainless version instead of a black version. Requested replacement and got an automated response form a John Smith that it would get addressed within 24 hrs. Still waiting for resolution as bathroom project on hold.
I was looking for a landscape designer and many of the designers I found had last reviews from over 4-5 years ago. In addition many of the companies I approached, responded that they are not accepting clients. What is going on?

I need 4 chairs and ordered one to make sure they'd work. By the time I got the chair, the chairs were out of stock with no estimate for when they might be back in stock available.
I had to return the chair and took over a 30% hit on the return fee. I ended up ordering similar chairs direct from Poly & Bark with a discount which at least covered the return fee.
My fault for not confirming inventory but would have hated to order 4 and have them not work and be unable to return all of them.

I clicked on one sponsored post on Facebook, and before I knew it I received 2 emails within 20 seconds. Apparently I had created an account and signed up for unknown quantities of spam. When I tried to unsubscribe, it still sent me loads of emails. When I tried to de-activate my account, there was an 'error'. If this is how they boost their user numbers, let me tell you they are not happy users!
I returned my items WEEKS ago and have yet to get a refund. My order was over $600 and they keep writing saying they need to hear from the seller - yet my transaction was processed through Houzz and they should take responsibility. When you write to ask for an update, they reply saying they will respond in 48 hours so getting answers is a lengthy process. Buyer beware
We had a fantastic experience working with Northern Construction Tile (Hector and Marco). They helped us sort through the many porcelain slabs available to choose the best one for our kitchen remodel. They quoted us a very compatible price for the product, delivery and installment of our new kitchen counter tops. They delivered on time and did a fantastic job installing it. The crew was clean, polite, punctual and precise. We are 100% happy with the outcome.
I ordered a dresser, purchase the wrong type of delivery, so we stopped shipment, refused delivery and sent back. The company refused to give me my money back and I still don't have my piece of furniture. This place is a complete scam and I would be very cautious to do business. They said they would issue a refund minus the return shipping, and never did.!

Please, do not buy any good in this site, I bought a furniture on May 11,2022 to be delivered between May, 16 and May 20. They haven`t delivered yet, and they don`t have any idea when they will do it. I`ve been contacting them for a week and I only receive evasive responses and they are trying to convince me to cancel the purchase, so they don`t have to take care of what is happening. The worst thing is that they are still selling this product, knowing that they can not deliver it. I had an event last weekend and I could not count on this furniture.

Do not use Houzz as a lead service. They're outrageously expensive, dishonest, and they care about their own sales instead instead of making sure Houzz is a good fit their contractors. Not worth your time or money! I will not be recommending them to any of my associates.
I'm an interior designer and have had issues with Houzz from the beginning - it's not a site that supports interior designers or the design community. I recommend spending your time and money on other avenues to promote your interior design business. I would give 0 stars, if possible.
So I just discovered that HOUZZ has no idea how to fully describe an item on their website. And it just cost me $17.09 to find that out! May not seem like a lot of money. But I'm not a fan of just throwing away $20! Ordered a beautifully described planter, and literally in the description, it says "large". I don't know what that word means to you, but to me, it means (especially regarding a plant pot) something larger than a tiny little pot that might fit a 2" little plant in it. SO freaking disappointed it's hard to express! But $20 later, I'm now headed to freaking Fed Ex to send that tiny little thing back to them! (Like I needed another errand to run!)
Won't be ordering anything else from Houzz! Amazon may not have it all, but I'll shop local, and hopefully find something I like. But damn sure not ordering from Houzz again!

I've been using Houzz for many years and have been very please up until the most recent order. The website misrepresents the actual cabinet color. It is described as black oak grain however it is actually brown. Now I'm told I will have to pay for the shipping cost ($350.00) to return an item that is incorrectly marketed on their website. Very frustrating and I will no longer be using Houzz in the future.

This company avoids all form of communication to cancel pro services. Not only that they show you analytical data that is not real and than claim to do work on your behalf and show proof of it with the same data they sold you with. This company has no moral no integrity or any respect for small businesses. Im 2 months of reaching out to their cancellation dept and no answers no call backs nothing please don't do business with them.
We love houzz and usually find quality products at great prices. This mirror event was an aberration in our experience. The houzz team handled everything professionally and promptly. We will definitely continue to shop with Houzz.
I ordered an accent chair that was listed as available for delivery within a week or so. I then received a message from the seller that they needed a couple more days but shipping was delayed by a month. Then Houzz contacted me notifying me of the delay, while at the same time still listing the chair with a delivery time of one week, and Houzz still does on their site.
Meanwhile, I'm told my chair won't arrive for at least another three weeks now.
Ridiculous and unprofessional.

Terrible customer service. Ordered a rug, 5 Dec. Supposed to be delivered to DC, from NY by 15 Dec. 2 Jan now and still no rug, just lies and BS from Houzz. Do yourself a favor and find stuff someplace else and give someone else your money. I will never make this mistake again.
Answer: Good question Maggie. I don't think there is. I think this site is just there to help their vendor and not assist consumers in making informed decisions. I found had a contractor who had defrauded us and changed his business name on Houzz. I posted a review on his profile notifying the public of what he had done to us, and Houzz did not publish the review. I joined Sitejabber to warn the public about Houzz.
Answer: I began as a Pro on Houzz and spent $2000 on Advertising. This was supposedly for a year of top exposure. No one purchased, the couple of calls I received were people wanting to USE my service for ideas. I have since discontinued complimentary initial appointments. These people are the biggest scammers in the world! I'm still one of the Pros just to see if anything bites but I noticed they go into vendors photos and try to find similar product then they sell their products. Great way to sway your client and to steal customers!

Answer: The Pros, at least at the beginning, were not in competition with this company (Houzz). They convinced the "Designer" world that the were strictly collecting ideas for the public and to help improve the vendors chances of being hired. Those reviews on the Pros are about the Pros, they come from their clients. About 2-3 years ago, Houzz began selling out from under all the vendors! They are SO low they have gone into the photos of the pros, look for a product they have that might be similar to something they sell and lead them away from the pro. The 1-2 stars you see here are the reviews for "Houzz" and their service but the reviews under a Pro are for that Pro. Don't be fooled... If you want the job done right, call the Pro! Listen to these reviews of Houzz and you won't get burned. Two different animals completely!

The advertising doesn't work, and although they originally started up as a company that would work alongside the vendors, they are now selling out from under most of them, especially the interiors decorators! They are SO low they have actually tagged products inside some of the photos of interior designers and tabbed out similar products to stay the customer away from the Pro and to purchase through them directly!
Answer: Do yourself a huge favor and find it somewhere else. Houzz contracts with third party sellers and their freight companies, they're just a middle man. What a nightmare this has been.
