Please, take my advice and do not book with this app. First, there's no way to contact customer service. Apparently, there is a charge for this at the time of booking. Otherwise, the only option is to send an email (which will not be responded to). There are hidden fees after the booking and tons of misleading information regarding their price freeze. Buyer BEWARE! Stick to the major airlines or reputable third party booking sites, not this horrible hopper app! I have lost a significant amount of money with absolutely no way to discuss the issue. Please, learn from my mistake and do not try to "save" money with hopper. It doesn't work.
After having no luck over the course of more than 2 weeks reaching out to Hopper via their app and social media accounts, they did finally reach out to me thanks to a previous review on this site. They have offered to take corrective action over my concern, and I am satisfied with the resolution.
If Hopper service only offers customers a voucher, then you need to change your app to say that language.
Hopper app says:
"Get 100% of your ticket cost back in travel "credit" from the airline or Hopper.
The app does not describe offering customers a "travel voucher". As credit.
Hopper sold me expensive insurance to change the status of my "non refundable ticket." Therefore I expected a refundable airline ticket.
Also, The definition of "Credit:"
is, An amount or sum, placed at a persons disposal by a bank.
Hopper refuses to offer me a refund, for my trip cancellation.

Money well spent! (Not even that much money too!) I have been living on the road for 6 months relying on Hopper to get me everywhere from the east coast to the west of Canada and down to Mexico and back. Amazing customer service, reliable and affordable with great perks :)
They need to update their application. They do not make their clients aware of the hotel check in times until the email confirmation is received. Terrible experience with them in order to receive a refund. They are not willing to take responsibility and blames the hotel which is not a good reputation. I have been dealing with different employees for weeks now and still nothing getting resolved. Just a back and forward. I will never use them again!

The Grand Hotel Fort Lauderdale is all one can expect when you first see it, a true experience worthy of even the greatest of the beatniks, it's image at first sight through its locomotives at a side leaves no room for any other expectations other than what it is, truly a historic monument. The staff that operates this hidden gem are as humble and caring through their personalized service and warm setting of the ambience within its walls. Truly a historic monument of the Beat Generation hidden away.
It works for booking flights and letting you know when prices drop.... But their customer service is really bad. I've never been left on read by a CS function before.. and when it's about flight cancellation and getting thousands of dollars back, it hurts to be told that this isn't their priority and their wait times are higher than normal... All the time.
Hopper is useful in that it tells us when's the best time to book a flight rather than frequently searching ourselves. At this time the app offers no reliable utility beyond when to book at the lowest price. While reservations can be made through Hopper, there's no way to speak to someone if you have questions. Chat reps are available but don't respond timely. When Hopper says prices are at their lowest, do your own search to verify then purchase fares elsewhere until customer service improves
I've purchased several trips on Hopper and never had an issue.
But there was an update a few months ago that took away my favorite feature. I no longer see an option to search for a trip if your dates are flexible.
I used to be able to select to watch a trip in any given month(s), without selecting specific dates, and would get notifications on the cheapest dates to travel within those months. I can't find that option anymore which means the app isn't as useful nor does it stand out from the rest.
Wish I could contact customer service but that option is only provided if a trip is already booked.
Super sick about this. Found a flight used the Price Freeze option for my group of 4. Not only did it not work when I returned to pay the system has been down since Thursday afternoon.
I sent messages via chat no response. I cannot find a phone number. The system is still down today. You cannot search or view anything you have in the "hopper" (no pun intended)
If the system is out at least send notification or post something.,
Great app that comes in handy while watching flights. Gives great updates on prices as they change. You might get lucky a catch a deal from it. Helped me fly to Hawaii. You can go wrong with this app.
So Far So Good, haven't really used it past the point of searching and watching the prices, which is awesome in itself. Really don't know how well the purchasing process will go, but it's great from what I hear.
Super helpful. I saved over $200 on my one way ticket using this app. I wish i started using it before i bought the first leg of my flight. I could have saved an additional $150. My only complaint is that it should allow you to exclude certain airlines. I absolutely will not fly Spirit airlines and it would be nice to exclude them from the pricing since they usually falsely advertise the lowest fares. But even without that feature, it's still an amazing app.
Airline changed my flight I called them within an hour of it being changed to try and change my flight to something else but they said they couldn't do anything right then and to call back I called five more times within 24 hours then they said I can't change my flight because it has been over 24 hours. The only reason I don't have a new flight is because I trusted Hopper

I purchased two tickets with the option of choosing my seats. For some reason it didn't let me, it said I had to choose my seats after I checked out. I proceeded to check out and then realized I couldn't choose my seats. When I call they tell me it has to be directly with the airline. I call the airline, now they are trying to charge me $60 per seat after I paid extra to choose my seats on hopper. I've been on the phone for over 2 hours with hoppers customer service. Two $#*!ing Habibis that can't $#*!ing help you. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady keeps saying "give me 3-5 minutes to transfer you over to a supervisor" 12 minutes later she repeats herself 4 $#*!ing times. Two hours later and still no supervisor on the phone.

After I timely cancelled a reservation the system re-entered the same flight data and charged my credit card without authorization. There is no way to actually reach them to resolve problems. All of the phone numbers and addresses posted on their site lead to a dead end from which they never respond.

After booking 2 hotel rooms. Hopper never confirmed the bookings but they kindly extracted my money from my bank Accounts! Customer Support or Care is non existent and this company should be put out of business. What a horrible way to treat your customers. My spouse is dying. My mom just passed away and my Dad only has weeks left to live and your stealing people's money? You left us stranded and scrambling for a place to stay. Heartless!

Company engages in deceptive pricing. My receipt shows that I was charged $25 extra -- per ticket -- for "VIP customer service."
Want to know what VIP service means? It means you can send a chat message -- not a call or email-- to Hopper and in 40-60 minutes, some one will finally answer, post an auto reply message that does answer your question, say they can't help, and then close the chat.
It's been 12 days and I can't get help.
They also charged $5 per ticket for a "tip."
Want a tip? Don't use this company, they are an absolute nightmare.

I have never used this Hopper app before and never will again! They publish fake favorable reviews of trashy hotels and once you see what you have paid for there's no way to contact a human being to complain! They hide their link for "help" and make it just about impossible to contact them. Even when you do things correctly like asking for another room or for your money back they drag their feet while they "investigate". Even if the hotel manager apologizes and takes responsibility for the bad experience. The site will ultimately deny your request and tell you there is nothing they can do!
If it was possible to have a negative star rating this site would be a -5.

If I could give zero stars I seriously would. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. There is no phone number or email to contact. They offer cancel for any reason insurance & travel protection which is totally point less bc they do not respond. I wish I would have read reviews before I purchased through Hopper. Sadly I can see that I am not alone & am afraid I will never get a response or a refund. Do your self a favor & never ever go through the Hopper App. I have messaged the "chat" multiple times over this past week and only get robot responses. Stay away!
Answer: File a claim with your bank. They charged me An additional 2 nights after hopper said they would refund my money. Instead they went without my consent n charged me an additional 2 nights. I was robbed for a total of 3 nights. Without being able to contact any support. A total Scam!
Answer: No they are about polar opposite of trustworthy. Run don't walk away from this company. My lesson cost $1435 dollars. If you require customer service look elsewhere they have none. Not even a phone number which is the first red flag.
