Ive signed with them for a year, and all I got was 1 backsplash that barely paid homestar monthly fee. Do yourself a favor and keep your money.
I have already reviewed HomeStars. Went on last week to check on my 50 plus reviews. My page now states I am no longer with them. I'm ok with that but finding the reviews I paid and brought people to there web page now is a lot of work to find. Nice. If you're a company. Stay away from them. It's all about the money. Not helping people find good companies that want to help customers.
They now charge even small family services businesses who subscribe to their platform
$10-$100 PER LEAD. They are making it impossible to survive. They are GREEDY CORPORATE MONSTERS. Don't support HomeStars
They have removed my review only because their system is set up to reject any review that has a contact information. What's happened was we got ripped off by a company that was supposed to fix our cooktop that they accidentally broke the glass part of and never followed up to replace the broken cooktop. It's been 2 years since the incident and they don't care. The cooktop is a $2500 and we are stuck with a broken glass top. Now, I have read other negative reviews for that company and found that there are so many other people that got ripped off so I wanted to write a review including my email address for others to contact me so we could do a class lawsuit against the company and because I have included my email address, my review was removed by the system.I have complained to them so Home Stars manager did contact me just to say that their system is set up that way to remove any contact info. My reply is, we'll then set it up the way do the system accepts the review because right now Home Stars is protecting and promoting fraudulent companies. Having said all of the above I suggest anyone who considers to be a part of Home Stars community to stay away from these clowns. Home stars is a complete joke.
This company is a complete scam.
Once you sign up, forget about talking to anyone. No one answers the phone. When you call your phone number is routed to your rep regardless of what number you call. (you could try another phone number I guess, if you have time for that) And of course forget about a call back.
Towards the end of your dismal contract, a different kinder, more understanding crook will call to try to smooth out the mood due to lack of, and useless leads because of miscategorization of your service, and offer you a discount for the remainder of the contract. Even if you tell the rep that you are not going to renew. Why?, because they set up the new discounted price as another annual contract without consent.
I had no choice but to cancel my credit card because I read elsewhere that Homestar's will continue to attempt to debit your account even after the contract has run its course. And sure enough, they did! (try that is)
I could go on, but I hope you get the point. Work on your own SEO, forget these clowns.
Hi everyone. Please don't use this site as it's a scam. They trick you saying it's just 1 payment then after you get charge $600/ month for 12 month. Try to cancel then they make you give them 2 month notice and then on top of that you have to pay 30% of remaining balance. There is no lead at all. Scam scam scam
Just passing by to say that home stars is a lack of respect for others. And organized crime. They came to us and said we would keep busy with work.
It's been more than 5 months since we paid them 500 dollars every month. In addition to them not sending a quantity of work, when they do send it they also send 20 other companies to provide a quote. I have been paying for 5 months and have not completed any work. This is a theft.
I'm at a point where I need to earn money and not pay to work. And they are robbing us. because I'm losing money. Never do anything with them they are a fraud and organized crime
I've been trying to cancel it since June and they still have the nerve to want to charge me 355 of the amount. Because when we start business with them they make us squeeze everything online. And then comes to say that everything is in contract precisely to steal from us. I hope to see them soon in a bad situation
They do not really do anything to bolster your business and sneak in a 35% THIRTY FIVE PERCENT. Cancellation fee when you realize their services are usless costing you anywhere from 700-1000$. One of my biggest mistakes I've ever made. They turn small businesses into easy money for themsevles.
I've been using home stars for a couple months now and I'm extremely satisfied with their service. They're always updating me on what I can do to be more successful on their platform and really show they care about building a long term relationship.
Bad people. Wasted thousands of dollars with them. They will do everything they can to get you to sign contract and after that you can go to hell.
Been with this company for a months, I run a plumbing company and they add fake feedbacks and charge you over $500 monthly with contract for a year. It's all scam, no clients comes from them
I stopped paying for this service 5 months ago. Get calls to sign up and pay more than I was. My 98 want down to a 90 with no bad reviews. Home stars is no help on my market as leads are poor.

We had our tub/shower replaced with a beautiful walk in shower this week and could not be happier-beautiful shower, friendly, courteous installers-Mike, Ahmed, and Jonathan and a wonderful contact person, Samantha. The installers worked a very long day installing and cleaning up after themselves. Samantha was with us from the very beginning, keeping us informed of every step from ordering our product, to checking in with us on installation day, to follow up the day after installation. Could not ask for any better experience. Highly recommend Lifestyle. Thank you.
I just had my roof replaced by Toro Roofing. I highly recommend Toro Roofing for all your roofing needs. Jason came to my house to give me a quote & was honest & caring. He answered all my questions large or small. He never pressured me & was patient until I made my decision.
The office manager Kathy is a pleasure to deal with. She explained everything to me. She was also was extremely helpful to me every step of the way including helping me pick my shingle color. FYI, Kathy I love it.
The roofing team: Trevor, Mike, Alex, Mario, Emmanuel, Daniel, & Andre showed p on time & did a phenomenal job installing my roof. They were extremely professional & polite. It was obvious to me they take pride in their work. They went above & beyond. I swear they left the outside of my house cleaner than it was before they came. Most important of all they stand behind their work so now I have piece of mind & no longer have to worry about my roof.
DON'T use any other roofing company. USE Toro Roofing. You won't be disappointed.

I pay almost $400 a month under a contract and there aren't enough jobs to even cover the expenses for the app itself, I'm extremely regretting joining the platform.
Worst platform I've ever used.
Take your money, give a lot of false leads, and then flag your number on file and make it near impossible to speak with an agent. Had to start calling from another number to reach someone.
And that's just the tip of the iceberg. I could write an essay on their BS

I wrote the following review on Aire Max and his questionable business practices:
Fact: We hired "Max" and his company Max Aire to replace our 20+ year old furnace and A/C.
Fact: Max represented that the unit we purchased (Lennox) came with a 10-year manufacturer's parts warranty.
Fact: We paid more than $5500 for the unit.
Fact: The unit ceased operating well within the warranty period.
Fact: Lennox denied our warranty claim because Max failed to install the correct A-coil (he concealed from us that he did not install a Lennox A-coil but instead installed a lesser part that voided our warranty).
Fact: Max continued to top up our unit with refrigerant to make it functional but denied any responsibility for the failure/leaking of the unit.
Fact: Max blamed us for not "maintaining" the unit, notwithstanding that we had cleaned the unit annually.
Fact: Lennox verified that there was no requirement to carry out any formal maintenance to maintain their warranty. They further confirmed that the warranty was voided solely due to the actions of Max and Max Aire.
Fact: No fewer than two HVAC companies have assessed the a/c unit and determined that the A-coil had prematurely failed.
Fact: One HVAC company advised that Max used pipes that were too small for the size of the a/c condenser unit and this also contributed to the failure of the a/c.
Fact: Max used lines (that carry refrigerant) that were 5/8 diameter. The independent a/c expert advised that the lines were too small and that the size 3/4 diameter should have been used.
Fact: Max has repeatedly engaged in aggressive conduct –often yelling at us when attending at our home.
Fact: Max has made racially insensitive comments while at our home.
Fact: Max contractually provided his personal warranty for labour and 10 years for parts but has failed to live up to his obligations.
Fact: We have given Max many opportunities to make this right be he refused to acknowledge his responsibility.
Fact: We have no option but to seek the assistance of the courts and to let others know about our experience with him.
They rejected this and several other edits for no clear reason. It seems as though if you are a service provider paying homestars, then they will protect your image eventhough they may produce pure junk.
Homestars should really be used as follows: the most rewarded companies should be regarded with the greatest suspicion! Caveat emptor!
Stephen Worrall was highly recommended. Stephen was very knowledgeable and professional. We were very pleased with his service.
They're like scammers. They will have you sign a 12 month contract and if you cancel you'll owe them 30% of the yearly amount as cancellation fee which is stupid and nonsense.
Other than that? They'll send you some leads the first month and some very suspicious as if they paid these "customer" to call you and ask for an estimate. You send the estimate and they go silent.
I decided to stop using homestars, and now they're using collection agency to try to collect $800 of what they call "unpaid fees".
Value your hard earned money and don't waste it in this garbage "company". I made the mistake and I'm writing this review to save from doing the same mistake as I did, with the hope that you're not reading this after you after you've already subscribed with them.
Answer: How is it that I stop getting leads and my payment still goes through, and I show prove of work and the bad review is still on
