It's been two months since I paid in full and my carpet has not been installed. Twice installers cane out here and were not able to do it, second time because there was a stain on the carpet and now they are saying the stairs can't be be and I need to pay an additional $250., what the what? I hope I hear back from Home Depot soon... at what point does it become theft?

A couple of months ago, we (hubby and I) purchased a refrigerator on a deferred payment plan for 12 or 18 months (not sure since it was not stated on the invoice). The account was on my husband's name. When the statement came, it states that there is no interest for six months on the purchase which is not what we signed up for.
I called Customer Service to clarify but to no avail cause even if I have my husband's information that they require to access the account, they would not simply give me an answer. I understand that there is a security issue but there should be a discretion on what the customer is trying to achieve. I simply wanted to clarify if the deferred payment plan is on a 6,12 or 18 months. Need to review your security policies and ease up a bit cause it is a waste of people's time.

Gas leak

Home Depot came out to install an oven after they left there was a gas leak and they would not come back to repair it. They just used their attorneys to say it wasn't their fault

I went to Home Depot last night and it was by far the worst experience.
To start employees there need to get more Training.
I was looking for grommet and it seems like nobody knew what that was.
I literally had to walk all the aisle till i found it.
Time for a facelift, time to educate employees.
How about a smile

Behr rebate

I submitted my rebate and its pushing almost 2 months since. Still haven't received it. I called the rebate center, talked to someone who barely spoke English. He still couldn't tell me that it has been mailed. Just to expect it with in two weeks. Not happy about this.

I want to share a horrible experience I had with Home Depot, in Moore Oklahoma. I am a retired Army combat disabled veteran currently acting as General Contractor to build a home for my wife and I.
In order to build my home I got a construction loan. My bank approved this loan February of this year. My bank requires me to write checks when making purchases rather than use any type of credit or debit card.
My purchase was almost $1,400.00. I wrote my check. My check was ran through Home Depot's check validating company telecheck, but was denied. I have never had a bad check in my life.
The cashier called telecheck and was saying the code was they gave his that maybe it was fraudulent purchase. By this time customers were backing up in the line and about 4 more Home depot employees gathered around. My wife was so embarrassed the walked out to go sit in the car. I felt so humiliated and felt as though I was being sized up as a criminal.
I left the the store completely ashamed, I called Telecheck and the customer service rep stated the reason was the newness of the account and had not written any checks through them and suggested I write a check for a lessor amount. I called Home Depot customer care to complain and was told it wasn't their problem to deal with Telecheck, and was even rude to me when I told how it make me feel (politely). I asked to speak to a supervisor or someone with decision making authority, and they transferred me to Telecheck. Why would they do that when I went to Home Depot to make my purchases, not Telecheck. I went back 4 days later and tried to make a purchase totaling just over $300.00, guess what it was denied too. I will never shop there again, maybe my experience might influence you to consider to shop elsewhere, maybe even their competitor. I placed an order for home appliances (Refrigerator, dish-washer, Microwave, Oven) which is a BIG amount order. During the order processing time as I was NOT sure about the refrigerator space dimensions and that's why I called it out and have Home depot Rep put in a special request for me for someone from home depot Kitchen cabinet department to come out and take a look to make sure everything will work just fine. I was told the cabinet guy will come 2-3 days in advance to check everything. Here is my current situation where no one from Home depot cabinet department showed up and the delivery happened. Refrigerator is ONLY 5% in and rest 95 % is sticking out and blocking the pathway. Not to mentioned about the side scratches which came from trying to push the Refrigerator in.
I was on customer support call for more than 2 hours to figure it out and left with no choice. I was not given any promising option by the rep or the store manage and Home depot won't let me even return everything and get my old appliances back. I really wish I wouldn't have bough this from Home Depot I think it's a good lesson learnt. GOOD BYE!

Ordered a stove online. The total NOT SUBTOTAL said 471.06. I took a picture to ask my husband if he wanted this stove. Thank god I did. I hit order. It said, thank you for your order of 509.92! It was the first I saw that total! I didn't agree to this total, so I went online to cancel. No way to cancel. I texted them to a number that you can text them at. No response. I called them, I was on hold for 10 minutes, then transferred and was given a rep that said I was a liar basically even after I told him I had a picture of it! He said, "Thats not what we have on OUR end". I told him he can either give me the stove to the price I agreed or cancel the whole order. Instead of giving me any reconciliation, he cancelled the order and now I have to wait 5 days for my money to return without even an apology just an insult! I was shopping at home depot almost everyday, I just bought a house in need of 100,000 in repairs, and now I will make SURE I shop ANYWHERE but here. Hope that was worth your 39 bucks HOMEDEPOT! 21 minutes of wasted time on the phone, an insult, and 5 days without my money. Nope, never again!

We are in the process of an entire remodel of our kitchen including cabinets, appliances, flooring and countertops. We had a wonderful experience with the kitchen designer at Home Depot and because he was so professional and knowledgeable, we chose Home Depot over 2 other places we had obtained estimates. Unfortunately our experience with their installers has been horrible. We ended up firing the installers and hiring our own contractor to do the installation.

Cabinets were ordered on 5-30-17, it is now 7-18-17 and the cabinets are still not installed, they have been sitting in my dining room for 12 days now, we pushed off the appliance delivery until today anticipating the project managers incompetence and we still didn't have an install date as of this morning.

As they say, buyer beware!

I feel that if you have served your country in the armed forces even if you are not retired or still on active duty you deserve a discount. If you are a very you served with honor and you still put you country above your own life. It is wrong not to recognize a veteran for his or her service.

Kitchen Conumdrum

I used Home Depot in Montgomeryville to design my kitchen cabinetry on the recommendation of my contractor. I was introduced to designer Maria. We worked on the design for several weeks, I provided pictures from the Tomasvisse catalog and other resources showing exactly what I wanted. I thought we had everything worked out until the contractor was ready to install the product. Central to the design were two products: a pull-out pantry and a utility closet. The cabinetry was delivered with no pull-out pantry just a regular tall cabinet with stationary shelving. Second, there was to have been a utility cabinet that was supposed to be 12" deep. A 6" deep utility cabinet was delivered. My kitchen is a galley of 6' by 9', so space is a premium. I now have cabinets/drawers that are so close my contractor had to lift the stove so that the will open some of the drawers. One is so close that the contractor would not risk putting a cabinet knobs on the cabinet for fear that the knobs, which are made of glass, would be damaged is I tried t open adjacent drawers. Worse yet, when I called to try and solve some of the issues, Maria would not speak to me and her colleagues protected her by answering the phone in her stead. They told me making the corrections would cost a lot more money. When I agreed to pay the extra money, they said that the manufacture didn't make what I wanted. When I found alternatives they wouldnt discuss them. I gave them the product numbers and everything. They told me it wouldn't work in my plan. Finally, instead of trying to address my issues the supervisor told me that I had signed off on the plans so there was nothing they could do to correct the situation. I would tell anyone remodeling their home to avoid Home Depot in Montgomeryville!

Horrible

It is the worst in whole world. We bought a washer and dryer on home depot website.
The promise of delivery is on Wednesday 12th.
The deliverer said that there is your dryer but no washer. So you have to call home depot.
We called, home depot said
"I will look it up and call you."
It's Wednesday.
Never call!
So we again call Thursday.
The operater, she's names Raby, she same said again. Ofcourse never get call.
We called again, we talked to the manager on Friday.
Manager is ""I will look it up and call you."
Yes, there is no call.
WTF!
Refund it if lost.
We are furious.

If there was a negative scale from which to chose, it would be -100!. DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER using them to install anything. I learned the hard way. Not one step of the long, arduous process went correctly. When they came to measure, they left out 2 rooms. Really! How is that even possible? It just got worse from there. Absolutely no communication between departments within the store so I shudder to think of how they would manage to communicate with the outside company, Hom Solutions, which has even worse reviews. They also don't communicate with each other. This entire ordeal was a total Cluster F--k. I don't think the manager of the store could find his way out of a paper bag and Customer "Service" is a joke! My case eventually went to the "Executive Resolutions" department in Atlanta. Guess what, they weren't any better. Nothing was ever resolved and I ended up sending the flooring back to the store. They even got that wrong. Truly unbelievable. Don't know how the CEO goes out in public. I'd be too embarrassed.

I found out later(after my fiasco) that some friends of mine had a washer/dryer installed. After about a year, the dryer started popping and then exploded putting a hole in the wall. The installers had used improper screws too close to wiring and this caused arcing of the electrical system. If they hadn't been home, their house could have burned down. Talk about negligence and incompetence! These are the descriptive terms I'd use to describe this store: apathetic, incompetent, inconsiderate (I was awoken by phone on 2 occasions for no reason) and just plain pitiful.

Ridiculousness

I went to the appliance department and a clerk ordered a stove top grate for me, and I paid $135 for it using a credit card. The grate was to be delivered to my home in a couple weeks. She tried six printers and none of them was able to print me a receipt. I waited for over half an hour, and finally she came back with a receipt. Six printers, and none of them are working? Ridiculousness. A waste of my time.

While shopping with my husband at HD. Checking out your asked. Do you want to sign up for a HD credit card, for a $25.00 credit today? Of course the hubby says, sure you do. I say no I don't. Back and forth a few times. Finally I get tired of arguing! Ok fine! Signed up for the credit card and checked out. A few months go by, and bam I get a bill in the mail from HD. Not only is there a late fee, there is a charge for the $25.00! I call them up, to honestly ask what's this bill for? The phone person says. "You missed a payment " How did I miss a payment when this is the first bill I received?! They tell me it's the second bill. Well, I never received the first bill. I ask can you take the charge off and I'll just pay it. No sorry! Ok fine rip me off and ruin my credit! I paid it just to get it out of the way. :(. A few months later, my sister was complaining of a credit card exact situation. I asked her, what credit card? She says "HOME DEPOT" never shop there!

On June 26/17 I simply went to the home depo to purchase plant stands, confirmed by the web site pick up at store only.

Sounds simple right? I attended the Home Depo store at dufferin and steeles after confirming by telephone the plant stands where in stock and 4 units where available.

To my surprise they informed me there was NO stock of the plant stands article *******899, I then inquired at customer service, there response we screwed up sorry. I asked them to please check the other stores and confirm if I could get the plant stands at another store?

Home Depo confirmed by telephone that the Major Mac and 400 Hwy location had the plant stands in stock and I was advised to pick them up there.

After traveling 30 minutes in traffic I arrived at the major Mac and 400 Hwy location only to be told there was NO plant stands in stock, the other store has inforormed you incorrectly sorry.

After inquires with 4 separate staff associates they also said we have no stock? I asked if they could check the inventory, there response no we don't have this item on the floor and there is No stock.

Totally frustrated I started looking on the storage shelves and wondered why nobody could or would check the boxes in the overhead racks.?

Finally I met an associate named Jeff Price from the flooring department not the Garden Centre, he said ok let me try and help you.

30 minutes later Jeff Price went thru the inventory and found the plant stands, wow what an amazing guy, he was the only Home Depo employee to do his job correctly and was totally from another department.

Please give this employee Jeff Price a raise he was the only person employed at your store willing to do his job and provide customer service.

I bet Home Depo will totally ignore my review let's see what occurs, stay tuned for updates.
