I prefer alternative stores to H&M. Thankfully nowadays there are much better stores for customers to choose from. This is my personal opinion.
I used love H&M until I purchased a pair of pants that ruin my leg (literally destroyed it). The zipper was defective and had one edge that was very sharp which I did not notice until one day I was putting them on and the zipper scraped along my leg. It was painful and got infected. I had to miss work and go to the doctor for tetanus shot as well as medication. Still today I have to buy scar creams to try to reduce the appearance of the scar on my leg and I still experience some pain at times. It looks horrible. The worst part of this is that company ignored the claim I made through their costumer service (which they stated that was the best way). After streaming me along and ignoring me at time (I had to write multiple emails), pretending they were going to do something to make the situation right, nothing happened! They did nothing to help me with the bills or to rectify this wrong. They are dishonest and are a scheme. H&M lends me to believe that I would have been compensated for this wrong and nothing came from it. In the end, after going back and forth, asking for a response after being ignored, they eventually stated that they were not responsible because they got the zipper from China. China? Did I go there to purchase these pants? NO I brought them from H&M and they are responsible for the products they sell. They stated they would send a letter from their CEO with the company's information to solve this. They NEVER did! I kept asking and asking. If I knew better, I would have NEVER shopped here. They are a horrible company that does not treat their customers well. Reconsider shopping elsewhere please. I still have pain and I am paying to care for this injury on my own. They do not care about you! No fashion item is worth this. My leg will NEVER be the same again! I no longer shop at H&M and would not recommend that you do either!
I recommend you shop from China instead of H&M located in USA, as you will definitely get your package even a week later than the package from China. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE
Good customer service is offered by H&M. Feel comfortable. Reasonable pricing and always a good choice.
I'd been waiting & anticipating the Balmain x H&M release for over a month. I'd planned to make my purchase via H&M phone customer service line. I'd well prepared for the online/phone frenzy the morning of the release.
After many attempted calls & getting busy signals to get threw I finally was put into the que to speak to a CS agent. After waiting 30 minutes to speak to an agent I had my desired item numbers ready to go for a quicker checkout process. After giving the agent my credit card information for a perfectly functioning credit card I was told it was declined. I told the agent there was nothing wrong with the card and to run it again jus for her to tell me it was still declined. I called my credit card company (Amex) while this H&M cs agent was on the phone & was told my Amex that they were approving all her attempts to process my order.
I used 5 more credit cards trying to make this very anticipated purchase & all were being declined although this was not possible.
I called back 4 times in a desperate attempt to buy my items & was giving terrible customer service by the very careless, unapologetic insensitive H&M customer service reps. I was told they didn't know why the transactions were being declined and they could not and would not do anything about my situation. Not to mention the first agent hung up in my face.
To add fuel to the fire I now have 14 pending transaction on my Amex card alone, totally thousands of dollars for merchandise I will never receive. But how could there be pending transaction on my credit cards when I was told they were being declined¿?
Needless to say, I've never experienced such a false technicality dealing with any merchant in the past. Nor such terrible customer service when this was a huge error on the part of H&M.
You would think such a big company would have proper credit card processors. I ended up with not one item from the collection. Jus thousands of dollars pending on my credit cards.
I found one pants on the website and they have shipped me wrong size, but after I washed them they feet ok.
Waiting month of my items... so disappointed... some clothes for my children, so when I get them, they will already be small
I emailed for a clarification of something and they were swift to respond. Polite, too, regardless of the many questions I asked.
Singled me and my sister ma out since we were blacks and could not appologise even after seeing that they were wrong.
All the cards can be used in all the merchant, except for H&M. Have to do a refunding call again (third times).

I have just been to HM store here in Melbourne and had a very unpleasant experience with their manager's service recovery. I was gonna buy this black blazer shirt that I thought was $30 (with tag on full price of $39.94) size 10. But ended up not. What was interesting here, They have a size 6 of the same jacket tagged for $30 SALE! I asked the lady manager if i can have the same amount coz obviously they are same product however different sizes--Out of my surprise she said NO and she cant coz that size is taged as it is. If i was her I couldve given it the same sale price to the customer bec its Christmas anyway plus I do not see the point of having the other one on sale and not the other size SO STUPID PEOPLE!, why do u have to fool your customers with pricing "Cmon! HM!
Yes They have great clothes but BE CAREFUL and BE wise when you shop here, they mislead customers by their tags and sale prices PLUS-- few people here can be very unpleasant. The guy at the female fitting room was very friendly. Just HIM the people at the counter were Unprofessional.
I like what they offer. The clothes are of high quality and it (quality) remains the same even after doing laundry.
I love shopping with H&M, their service and prices are the best. I stay in their stores for hours at a time. Love it xxx
The upside: small sizes available, no need to compromise. The downside: hard to find things that don't look like trash.
