We are in an RV Park temporarily as we live full time in our RV. I order online ALOT of course and have never had a problem. Not true with Hayneedle, they will not deliver to me or to the office of the RV Park. Thats ok though because I can get the same item from someone else. They will not be in business long with the rules they have in place. I'm definitely done with them and would encourage you to look elsewhere!
I can't remember a time when I experienced this bad of customer service from a delivery company, EFW. I left work early today in order to be present at home when the table I ordered from Hayneedle was scheduled to be delivered between 1 and 5. At 4:30 I contacted the 866 number you're given for customer service, and they assured me it was out for delivery, and that I would receive a call about 30 minutes before they would arrive. The call never came. At 6:40 pm I contacted the customer service again, they gave me the number of the delivery truck, and I reached someone who couldn't understand or speak English. He finally understood my last name and that I was still waiting for a delivery, only to be told by him: "Oh, maybe we don't delivery it now. It very late." YOU THINK? No phone call all day, nothing. I wonder how difficult it will be to get my $$ back.
I ordered a exercise bike. It arrived within two days. Much sooner than expected. The packaging was fine. No damage. The bike had all of it's parts and works fine. I was concerned after I had read some of the reviews but I am very pleased with the speed of delivery, packaging and the product.
We ordered two queen size beds from Hayneedle and they came quickly and intact. Assembly was reasonably straightforward. We recently ordered and received an electric fireplace and the mantle predrilled holes for assembly were way off and the female screw holes were too large for the screws supplied. I returned the item and Hayneedle seems to have accepted the return but waiting to see the credit show up on my credit card. I did write a review to be posted on Hayneedle and as of today I only see three positive reviews of this item not my negative review. This makes me wonder if Hayneedle is selectively posting positive reviews and not posting less than good reviews, I hope this is not the case since that would be very misleading an deter me from purchasing anything else from this company. Return was credited to my credit card in a reasonable time.
I purchased a 17 foot trampoline for $350 on their website. It was shipped in two boxes. First box arrived, it had only a few poles and foam in it. Second box arrived, tracking showed they needed to replace a shipping label as it was damaged, and who would of guessed the package arrived DAMAGED. It only had these plastic ties keeping it closed, and only had 2 on it! The box was open, and only a few poles were inside.
I contacted them immediately and am being told I need to basically buy a printer for a return label, but a HUGE LONG box, package it up ( I am disabled) and go to the P. O to ship it back. I asked if there was any other way to receive a refund and I was denied. I am not rich. I live off of $800 a month in disability checks. I saved for so long for my son this trampoline for christmas. Hayneedle.com took this away from my son and there is nothing I can do about it. Please, I beg you, order else where. They do NOT care about their customers and have scammed me $350!
STAY AWAY from here! We spent $3500. 00 for a Pergola. We recieved the wrong one. We were told it was only a matter of getting a few parts that were different. We have been waiting WEEKS and still no parts. We get the same canned responses from hayneedle. I have a crew of guys working at my house waiting for the parts. This company cannot survive. NO WAY!
I ordered a light I needed for a house we are building from the Amazon web site. They said they had 30+ in stock and it would ship in 2-3 days. A week and a half later I emailed, they looked into it and they said that the Item was discontinued and to bad for me.
I ordered a pair of tv trays, one of which arrived broken. I contacted Hayneedle, they responded right away, and refunded the money. They were very nice and I have no complaints and would shop Hayneedle again.
After posting my review on multiple sites, including BBB.org, I received an offer of a small credit to cover my additional costs from Hayneedle's Customer Service Escalations department. The rep was also named "Rosemary" as other have noted.
While I certainly appreciate the response and result, I should not have had to go to such lengths to get a response from Hayneedle, especially after contacting them directly. I updated my rating to 2 stars because this overall experience still remains below average in comparison to other online retailers.
We are so sorry to hear that our initial outreach through SiteJabber did not reach you.
Summary: This "full size" bed is not the correct size for a full size mattress. It is 6 inches too wide! Also, the "gray" color is actually taupe, not gray at all. Hayneedle has terrible/non-existent customer service. No response to customer service emails.
Full review: The real problems started on delivery day. I had a 4 hour window blocked off 10-2. When 2:30pm rolled around and I had no delivery, I called customer service because I thought I was going to have to cancel the order because I had to leave the house (signature was required and I wanted to check the product anyway). 10 minutes after I got off the phone, the... um... "delivery" truck arrived. Hayneedle uses the worst/cheapest shippers around. They actually showed up in an Enterprise rental truck! Is this a real delivery business?!?!? The two shipping boxes were in terrible shape, which made me very nervous, but luckily the pieces inside were not damaged, despite having the surface visible through the box and packing material. Pure luck.
The next day, my husband and I spent about an hour putting the bed together, and were really happy with the instructions, quality of the materials, and the overall look of the bed. The wood was heft and solid, and the overall design looked pretty. I was a little disappointed in the color, since I was expecting actual "gray" not taupe, but since I had not purchased any other furniture to match it yet, I figured it wasn't a deal-breaker and I could make it work. The major problem occurred when we lifted our full size mattress and put it on the bed slats. There was an extra 6 full inches on the end of the bed, and a 2 inches on the side! I could not believe that wasn't mentioned in ALL of the other reviews! I could see down to the bed slats and the floor; it looked awful. There was no way I was going to pile up fluffy bedding to "cover-up" this issue. This bed is meant for the FULL XL mattress, not a regular full size! This is especially concerning for those who are buying this for a toddler/little kid transition bed (which we did). This extra space is dangerous for the little ones, because they can get their head wedged in there, or get a limb stuck (and then fall over and break something). We could not put our child to sleep on this, so I thought I was going to have to return the whole thing... and since the shipping boxes and packing material were destroyed (partially by the shippers), this was going to be a BIG P I T A. I emailed Hayneedle customer service immediately to see what they could do - was this an anomaly?... could they have the correct size pieces shipped?... No response. Still dead air...
So I turned to google and amazon... I found that I could buy a full XL size mattress protector that wraps around the whole bed and fill the extra 6 inches with chair foam padding (luckily we have a foam mattress, not a spring, so hopefully this won't be too noticeable). Of course, I have to buy all of these things and do the extra work... but at least I can fix the problem. I now also have to buy Full XL sheets to fit. So now I'm spending at least another hundred dollars, and doing a lot of extra work for a bed that costs well over six hundred dollars. So disappointed in Hayneedle. What a shame. I cannot recommend Hayneedle for a good experience or a reliable product description.
Ordered an "In Stock" Better Homes & Gardens Rustic Country Desk. Received a confirmation. Received a ship date. Received a revised ship date a week later. This morning, two weeks later, I was informed that my order has been cancelled because it's out of stock.
Ordered laptop desk and clip light on May 4. Fed X label created for laptop desk on May 5 but it never shipped. Funds were taken out of my bank for it but it was not shipped until May 13 after I called all week and they could not tell me why. Clip light arrived today and although I ordered and it was confirmed by delivery ticket that I ordered black, I received bubble gum pink one. This is the second clip light I had to order because one I ordered on May 4 was really not in stock and they cancelled it so I ordered a different black one. These gifts are for a 75 year old man. A hot pink clip light was not what I had in mind to coordinate with the laptop desk. If I ever receive it at all, wonder what color it will be? I will not be shopping with Hayneedle in the future.

I ordered bar stools from Hayneedle. They arrived quickly and in excellent condition. My friend ordered a kitchen island from them and was also very pleased. From my experience, this is a great company.
I ordered a rug from Hayneedle that arrived and the coloring was much different from what was pictured so I had to return it (per my clients request). Well, for returning the item Hayneedle deduct $150 from your refund for return shipping when you only paid $39.99 to have it shipped to you! I will NEVER order from this company again. Wayfair all the way.
FOLLOW UP: After posting this review Hayneedle reached out to me and exchanged the freight return for a FedEx return fee and are going to reimburse for the 39.99 Return shipping. I have changed my review from 1 star to 4, but shouldn't have had to go through this process in the first place.
Unlike most online vendors such as Amazon and Zappos, Hayneedle does not provide pre-paid shipping charges for returning an item purchased from them. Even obtaining the correct address to which you can mail the item back was a challenge. Hayneedle was proposing to charge me $10.50 to cover them for accepting the return shipping charges. I had paid $22.00 for the item! Losing half of my money to cover their charges was unreasonable. Ultimately, I finally did receive an address for merchandise return. I took the item to USPS and mailed it for very significantly less. I was refunded the cost for the item but not any of the shipping charges to ship the item to me, and most certainly not for returning the item to them. A great deal of stress -- and not up to the standard of major online vendors.
Hayneedle's Return Policy is listed on the site. The only time we ask a customer to pay for return shipping if it is a customer's choice return. Unless you are an Amazon Prime member, you will still need to pay return shipping on a customer's choice return,
Awful. I ordered 2 outdoor chairs in slate grey. A free table was offered. What I got was 2 dark brown chairs and NO table.
Customer service said, they were out of stock on the table & would give me a credit. He said if they sent the table later - I would be charged for the table & shipping. What?
The supervisor said they sent the brown, because they had no slate grey. What?
Never again. Terrible.
A week ago I ordered a shower door for a client who's bathroom is undergoing a renovation. I received a confirmation of my order. Today when I realized I never received a shipping confirmation I went to their site and found out they cancelled the order! I got no notification. When I called and even talked to a supervisor they said it was out of stock. This incident made me look like a fool in front of my client and I will NEVER do business with these people again!
We ordered a ProForm Hybrid Trainer on Dec 15. We didn't receive it until Jan 14. But it was the cheaper model with the hard seat back, rather than the more expensive model with the soft seat back that we thought we were purchasing. It took several inquiries to actually get the item shipped at all. Now I am faced with an inferior product.
On further examination, it appears that the pictures were of the Hybrid Trainer Pro, but the item ordered is the Hybrid Trainer. This is the classic bait and switch.
I ordered a crib that was on sale and they sent a mattress. When I called prior to delivery to ck status of crib, even after receiving an order confirmation WITH Crib description the manager informed me they were not liable to send it for the price I was given. Refund only and that was supposed to be immed when the mattress shipped. Nothing yet. Furious
This is the worst company ever. I purchased $200 Patio Umbrella and it broke when I wanted to open it for the third time. I got $100 a use out of it to expensive for my taste. I bought this through Walmart and I guess that I should have read the reviews on this company before buying this item. When I contacted PlumStruck all they send me was an email stating that it was past 30 days and I could not return the item. I can't believe that a company can get away with this. I will contact the BBB to make sure that more people are aware and will not purchase items from this company. I don't have just $200 laying around to waste on nothing I could have bought me something nice that lasts.
Purchased cabinet thru hayneedle because the delivery date was the fastest and the price was the same as other sites. Item was not delivered on that date and now site states it is on backorder. My paypal account has been charged for the order. Unable to find out when item will be delivered.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this delay has caused you.
Answer: We are sorry to hear this, Margie. If you have an order number (it may be on the box as a reference number) or the tracking number, we would be able to take a look and see how we can assist you with this umbrella. Thank you for reaching out to us.
Answer: My mom just got a similar email - guessing that it is a scam - shes going to contact paypal
Answer: Every time I ordered these glasses, they came in a well-padded with good bubble-wrap box. The box itself was very strong, too.
