My husband has been a patient at banner medical cancer center for over 3 months now and with dealing with his 5th round of chemo my sis& bro inlaw decided instead of us driving 2.5 hrs home to cottonwood they would book us a room. Not only were they not given the medical discount but their receptionist Taylor went above and beyond to be rude and " refused " a cancer patient a already paid reservation. Unbelievably rude and lacked customer service of any kind. Showed 0 compassion towards guests. Beyond adinmate to make sure no other guests are treated as poorly as we were! This hotel is less than a mile away from MD Andersons cancer center for God's sake! Cancer patients are already fighting to live! They shouldn't have to fight especially for a place they pre pay for to get some rest! Beyond disgusted with this location and the employees they decide to hire! BTW the " manager" stood right next to her and said nothing. Management needs to Lindsay some better help js.
Hi Tom.
I am afraid that you are a fraud because you are not associated with the hotel like your website name indicates.
Also in Indonesia it is a punishable violation to lie about tax recovery charges and other taxes - trying to blame an extra 60+ % on taxes when in fact they are only = 10%
Misleading prices advertised on this site and excessive hidden charges added once you have already provided card details. Booked an airport hotel advertised as £104, then when the confirmation came through it confirmed that £158 had been taken from my account. Site also appears to 'pretend' you are booking directly on the hotel's website. Called 'Guest Reservations' immediately to query the additional 55% charge, which was put down to 'taxes and charges'. Requested a refund as pricing was not transparent on the site and ask for a refund and they refused.
Stayed in May and I forgot my glasses I only use at night. Sent them a prepaid return envelope with case plus tip. After 2 weeks they sent envelope not sealed back with no glasses. They are lost. Management irresponsible. The bathroom had blood on the floor, coffee pot was dirty and the microwave plug had short cord we could not plug in. Stay here only because it's cheap but prepare to bring cleaning stuff and double check the room before you leave.
They show you one cancellation date and then when you cancel they show another one which makes it too late to get a full refund. The hotel didn't even see a cancellation on the computer, so your information is totally in the hands of these scammers. I was horrified when a foreigner answered the phone with roosters crowing in background. Please don't use this site, call the hotel. They inflate prices anyway. The original price was $177. I knew there would be fees but this not even at checkout yet, so I can imagine what my checkout bill would have been.
They are using deceptive practices and when you confront them they laugh in your face telling you there's nothing you can do! A room that I booked for $60 they charged me $105. A bunch of thieves.
Consumer Club, Inc. d/b/a/ Getaroom.com, a Texas registered company with a business address, 3010 LBJ Freeway, Suite 1500, Dallas, Texas *******
Pretty experienced traveler - booked on line. After I press to book, the prices literally changed in front of my eyes and doubled in cost. Immediately called them, won't permit any changes. Talked to 4 different reps. They hang up on you, pretend to be transferring to supervisor and cut off. Finally filed a complaint with MasterCard. If they've done this to you as well, complain to cc company. If they get enough similar they suspend the company.
The website asks you to complete reservation before displaying the total cost, which includes exorbitant fees. The total cost is "hidden" below, where one would not normally scroll down to. But once you hit the reservation button it's too late to change or cancel. While the company will say they show the total cost, it is not in an easy place to view. I find this to be deceptive.
Hi Fred, we are sorry you had this experience. Just like when you book through a hotel directly, Guest Reservations must charge its customers for all applicable taxes, including any hotel taxes. Additionally, by charging a service fee for all of its reservations, we are able to offer 24/7 customer support and operate as an independent travel network. Guest Reservations conspicuously discloses all fees and taxes on its checkout summary webpage, asking customers to check a box acknowledging these before they enter their payment information. Despite our transparency, we remain concerned about your experience. Please provide us your reservation # and the email address used at purchase and we will respond with the next steps. Thank you.
Dont go there its a scam site adding huge fees and taxes after you accept a booking. They appear to be associated with the hotel property but they are just parasites. I accepted a booking at the usual price but found that a 50% tax abd fee recovery charge had been added afterwards.
Be aware of this booking chains inability to work with the customer. I booked a stay at one of their hotels and tried to cancel it moments later.
I called and talked with an agent who logged my complaint and told me they couldn't refund my funds. Along with the hotel room rate there was a significant hidden fee.
I would advise anyone who is thinking about making a reservation through them to reconsider. Buyer be ware!
They Manipulated their site thinking your on the actual hotel website, seems legit but they have crazy fees inclusion! You have a policy that I can have my full refund if I can cancel it within 24 hrs, but you have given me a false date! Please go to hell.
Hi Jasper, our customer support agents are committed to your satisfaction. So we can securely look into this, please private message/DM us your reservation number, email address, and name the reservation was made under. Thank you.
It did not show me the hidden fees of over 150 bucks. It said 76 a night then shows after you pay u can't cancel. This is not good. There are no cleaning fees here in California or any other state. They take a credit card for back up if you mess things up. But I was charged almost 200 dollars for this upfront fee. I needed a room for my sons disability to be in a quit cool area. And I just got screwed out of 200 dollars. And im not working due to my disability... your site sucks. You suppose to have it upfront of all costs out here in California. Not hidden.
And now it wants me to add proof. Even though it's got payment information on the receipt. I'll give you my number ******* is the last digits of my reservation number
The worse place I've ever spent the night
Front desk was a lazy and unwelcoming person
There were people behaving like criminals in the room next door, knocking other guests the doors, making noise in the aisle, slamming their's room door, screaming and shouting over night and anyone from front desk took any action.
The continental breakfast is a joke

Very deceptive. I was specifically trying to book directly with Mövenpick but the search brought me to Guest Reservations site. I called the hotel and the booking did go through but the extra fees they charged, >35% were not associated with the hotel that's their scam. I see that Guest Reservations has standard responses to these negative review that say to DM them but no follow that says they actually we able to cancel or refund the charges. When do we ever read the fine print? Hopefully I've learnt my lesson.

We booked a last minute hotel after a cancelled flight not realizing this wasn't the hotel's website. Agreed to pay $242 for the night. Hit the confirmation button after entering our payment info and was immediately charged $375.98. Over $100 was added for "tax recovery charges & service fees." This is a SCAM. Stay away.

This company is a sham. They have a bait and switch technique - their website is advertised making it look like a Hilton.com website. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING. They charged me $1,700 to cancel a reservation. SEVENTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS, RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, FAST.

Shady players. Found additional $67 "service and recovery" fee on top of $180 fee for one night's stay at a hotel. Have been on hold for half an hour with no answer. Hotel was charging $170 if you dealt directly with them. My bill came out to $246. Call hotel directly to avoid being scammed like I was

What cheaters! This s a total rip-off! You think you are getting a good deal and once they have your credit card info and you can't cancel, you seen the small print that they have charged almost double in "taxes and service charges"! Disgusting! I have never been so cheated in my whole life! These people should be ashamed of themselves!

I mistakenly booked my hotel through this website thinking it was the actual hotel's website (it can be very deceptive). They advertised cheaper than anywhere else, making me think I had a deal, but then added on fees which I did not see until they had already charged the card. These fees added over $200 to the bill. They will say it's because they have to pay all applicable taxes, but the place I was booking (Charleston, SC) only charges a 14% tax on hotel reservations. This would not have added $200 to the bill for the price I paid, only about $50. What they are doing is not illegal, but it is deceptive. We were able to get a refund by calling the 800 number associated with the charge on the bank account and I suggest everyone else do the same.

I googled a specific hotel and the top result had the hotel name followed by guest reservation.com I thought i was booking direct. The room rate was advertised as £229. The next screen had a 10 minute timer to suggest I had to enter all me details to get this rate. The confirmation button was directly below my details. If I had scrolled down I would have seen the price had jumped to £457.! I only knew the price when I checked my credit card. I rang the hotel and was told the booking had been made via Expedia at a rate of £271.After looking back at the website I realized I should have noticed it was a travel network. I tried to contact Guest reservation on a Saturday but I could not get past the automated service to a person. In frustration I cancelled.! The reservation was made as non refundable. I used the contact us page twice and got zero replies, I eventually called and was told there is nothing they can do... I asked if they could reinstate the reservation, as they have the money why not use some of it to re-book the room. But now I am £457 out of pocket and have nothing to show for it. The way the site is designed, the countdown timer (which i think is illegal in UK, EU and US) the location of the confirmation button on purpose above the final total are misleading.
Update to the review. A few days after reviews being posted I was contacted by Guest Reservations and given a full refund.!

Answer: They did the same to me. The reason is because they are stealing from you and hope you don't notice or don't care
Answer: I feel your pain. What's sad is that this company is an affiliate of Expedia
Answer: Literally the same. Hope you get reimbursed! Good luck!
