Every time I order from grubhub something goes wrong. Tonight I ordered taco bell and was not informed that my food had arrived. It sat outside my door for 15 minutes before I knew it was there. The driver smashed my food to the point that I couldn't even eat it. Yes they refunded my money but I should not have had to do that.
After almost 3 hours we canceled the order with the driver. We had multiple delivery times given and all were missed. The car circled our house within a block multiple after the tracker said they picked up. Another 1.5 hours and I finally called (this a long story short) and told the driver - Do Not Deliver, Cancel the order. They did the cancel and I got a refund text and email. Which is why this is 2 star. But my God, friends over left, my son and friends waiting waiting waiting... wife unhappy. Why? First time using a food delivery service and the last for a long time thanks to this experience. Unfortunate during this pandemic and its limitations.
I ordered and paid more than $40 only for them to forget my entire dinner. Customer service only offered to refund the cost of the dinner, they would not go back to the restaurant to correct it. The GrubHub manager refused to even to speak to us. Stay away!
Every time I order, the order is wrong. The drivers are complete idiots that don't check the orders. I guess that's what you'd expect for someone who has a job that only requires driving and texting. There are plenty of better delivery services that will push Grubhub out with better service. Will never order from them again.
Used grub hub for my first time& my food was never delivered as promised.No call from driver! Only good thing was I called Grub Hub customer service line, Representative checked on order, and was very apologetic that I never received my order, she cancelled my order and credited my account back with no hassle.
The website really needs reworking- it does not allow for full customization of the food. I ordered from Costa Vida in Utah and am intimately familiar with their menu; the options listed for customization were extremely limited especially considering allergies exist. This kept me from being able to order what I actually wanted and there were no areas for additional notes on the food provided.
The food I got was not what I ordered either and I felt robbed since they got me a smaller size than what I paid for. The customer service team was very kind though and even extended a full refund on my order.
Quite literally every single time I order from grubhub there is an issue, if I scroll through my past orders there are so many "canceled and refunded". It's very frustrating because every time there is an issue on their end, they cancel the order and I don't get my money back for at least 5 days. Not only is it a huge waste of money, it shouldn't be that hard to reorder my food or find some kind of alternative.
If I could give this scam of a "business" less than one star I definitely would. I have given Grubhub multiple chances now, thinking maybe they were just busy, maybe the restaurant was at fault, etc. NOPE. Every. Single. Time. Consistently. My orders are delayed 4-5 times until I finally have to give up and cancel, and use Doordash. And of course they hold more money on your card than the order actually costs, and a refund takes forever. Save yourself a HORRIBLE experience and steer clear of Grubhub.
They cancelled our order after charging us the full amount, said they would give us a discount on the next order and the promo code was bogus.
I had to change an order so I called the restaurant and they had no problem changing it but I had to call GrubHub to change the order so they did not get penalized. When I spoke with customer service they put me on hold to call the restaurant and then said the restaurant had made the food already and I would have to pay the full bill which I can understand that but I had spoke to the restaurant prior to speaking to customer service and it was okay. I then called the restaurant back and they were still okay with changing the order so customer service lied to me. To make things better when the food was supposed to arrive the restaurant had called me and inform me that GrubHub had cancelled the order after they had made the food because they did not have a driver. So after speaking to the restaurant owner for the third time he told me that the reason why GrubHub told me it could not be changed was because they make 30% off of the order and they still wanted the money. In the photo is a email receipt of the cancellation by GrubHub but blaming the restaurant. I guess GrubHub is not done lying yet. I'm very dissatisfied obviously i will not use GrubHub again
3 Times i tried ordering and all 3 times have been canceled... without explanation... there will not be a fourth... not good service at all..
I ordered my meal from Grubhub at 540 with an estimated delivery time of 620-630. As 620 approaches I check the app to see it's now estimating 650, not a big deal. I check again and now it's estimating 720 hmmmm inn maybe the restaurant is busy. I check yet again and now it's estimating 740 that's more than an hour past the time originally estimated. I contacted the restaurant who told me my food has been ready for quite awhile and no one had picked it up. I then chat with customers service at Grubhub who informs me my food cannot be delivered until 835! I ordered at 530 so that is 3 hours from when I ordered! I told the rep that is unacceptable my food would be old and cold by then. They cancelled my order and gave me a full refund then the fun part began. The delivery driver starts texting my phone stating she didn't steal my food. Ok... I never once said she did. She then states she wouldn't do that especially not chicken she don't eat chicken. I didn't even order chicken. She then says she left the food at my door and took a picture... FALSE because the restaurant confirmed it was never even picked up. I told her I cancelled the order already to have a good day. She replies that she's the one who cancelled the order because she's not allowed inside the restaurant. What does that even mean? Is she banned from the restaurant haha! Anyways I find it ridiculous the drivers are allowed to harass the customer like this.
I have contacted grubhub multiple times to have my account and information deleted. They went the motions, stating that your account will be deleted in 48 hours. My account is still not deleted and it has been two weeks. They believe they are using my account to show more active accounts than they have... they have no ethics!
If I could rate 0 stars I would because I didn't even receive my food. There have been multiple orders where I have had to talk to drive through directions to my house, which I am Okay with and deal with. This time, the food was just never delivered. App said it was, I called and they couldn't even contact the driver. What do they do? Give me a refund on that order and a 20% off next order... really? Well its 7:30pm and I have no dinner... go with UberEats, pizza place, or other local restaurant.
Did not receive all items missing meal with ohbwelll customers service attitude and no way to get correct order or adjustments on high fees for service not well done. Just avoid this company
I have been a GrubHub customer for over 3 years. I knew I was paying a premium for on again off again service, but convenience was the key. Until now. I placed an order as usual, but problems started right away. The driver was late to pickup the order, and only delivered part of the order. I contacted the driver since he had texted me. Call the restaurant he said. I did, the child I talked to was completely ignorant of what could be done. So I contacted GrubHub. They said well you have gotten a refund. I explained to the life form that it wasn't about the money if I had wanted the money I would not be paying for the service of bringing food to the house. The fact is I wanted dinner. My guests were hungry, should I throw a couple of dollars at them?
The idiot could not in any way understand that this was about hospitality, not money. I would have gladly paid the cost for the food. But the automaton idiot would only say they can not give me anything. Not even the food I paid for them to deliver. By the way they kept the entire fee the bloody idiots. I then explained that they no longer exist as far as I am concerned. I pulled up door dash, got an order in record time, they even upgraded the order with a side dish, free of charge. That's hospitality folks. The Hub will never receive another cent from me. And the can securely deposit the refund in any orifice they choose.
There's nothing quite like waiting an hour for your food to be prepped, only to be postponed another hour, and then f***ing canceled for no reason at all. Don't waste your time with this pathetic business
Waited over an hour for Burger King. I called the restaurant they said grub hub hasn't picked up our order. Called them they were like sorry. That's it!
Inorder subway and they offered a menue that the store was not able to fill. They over charge me by $20 and refused to refund me my money. I got a new credit card and I my first and only transaction was with them, few days later I found out that someone used my credit card on a smoke shop. I have my physical card, su some got the # to make multiple transaction. I regret ordering from them. DONT USE THEIR SERVICE OR YOU'LL REGRET IT LIKE ME!
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
