HORRIBLE experience. I've never had such a negative customer service experience. Over 1 hour and 3 separate phone calls combined with 5 different people, two of which were managers. I only wanted to use a $50 gift card and GrubHub was giving me an error message when I tried using it. Nobody even asked one time for the gift card information to see if it was even a valid gift card. That should have been the 1st way to resolve my issue. I brought that up 30 minutes into the 1st call with the 1st manager I was speaking with. The 5th guy that I spoke to was great! He actually helped me. All other 4 people really need to work on their customer service skills.
I run a restaurant in Provo UT, and they have ripped me off for 5 orders, totaling over $140!
Never accept a Grubhub order. (But, that is the most devious thing about them, is they place the order as if they are the customer, and then come in with a Grubhub credit card that has never worked at my restaurant (I assume because I have never signed an agreement with them)! Never accept a Grubhub order!

I have ordered from grub hub a handful of times, and ever time my delivery is missing food. Is it the restaurant last fault or is the driver steeling my food? Know one really seems to m ow or be interested in finding out. I have ordered from several different places and always food missing which leads me to believe grub hub does not hire reputable people. If food isn't missing, which is like 1:*******, the food is turned upside down and not edible. Instead they hire people that think it's cute to steal food. Well, no more orders from me, and no more big tips from me. Find someone else to feed your nasty habits, piece of $#*! drivers and piece of $#*! app company. You can rip off someone else $#*! holes
This afternoon I placed a delivery order in from the Grubhub app to a restaurant supported by Grubhub. After placing the order, a message pops up saying I have to pick up my order, it won't be delivered. Well, I couldn't pick up the order and the restaurant had already made the food, so I'm out $81.00 thanks to Grubhub. This is not the first issue I've had so, shame on me for using them yet again.
The whole point of a "service" like Grubhub is to take the hassle and human error out of ordering directly from local restaurants, right?! Not with Grubhub. Instead, Grubhub acts as just another layer between the consumer and restaurant, charging fees to both while providing absolutely no value. Confusing app with endless glitches. Relentless marketing of special offers that turn out to be clickbait. Apathetic, robotic customer service reps who read from a nonsensical script. And LOTS of cold or undelivered good. Grubhub is a prime example of everything that can go wrong with faceless, soulless, app-based businesses. My advice: Delete Grubhub from your phone and go with Uber Eats instead. Or better yet - call your local restaurants directly!
DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS after calling the restaurant and finding out our food been sitting there for over an hour, I contacted the driver and got no response. I contacted Grubhub and they gave me some lame response. An hour later, still no food now we have waited a total of 3 1/2 hours for the food. They asked if we still wanted to wait. I said no because now we have already gone out and ordered a new round of food. And then I find out, that they had canceled the order 45 minutes prior because there was something wrong with the delivery window. This is not a good company to deal with they do not know how to run a business. This is apparent with the fact that they have a one star. It's not worth it go get it yourself or is it another delivery service but don't waste your time
I ordered from a chinese place. It said it would arrive around 6:30pm-6:54pm... 6:54pm rolls around and my "delivery is late." i walk downstairs all the way to the lobby and look out the door. And what do i see sitting there? My order. Which i wasn't aware was even coming yet not had i even known it had arrived or how long it had been there. If i hadn't walked downstairs to happen to look i'd have never even known it was there.
Grubhub overall wasn't too bad. The food was easy to find, the orders are easy to place. The customer service like is amazing. But i shouldnt have to call the customer service line. I placed an order at 6pm. Maybe expecting by 6; 45 as the restaurant is fairly close t my location. My estamated arrival was 6; 35, then it was 7; 05, then 8; 05. AND my driver was making stops at other homes for multiple minutes and ended up in a whole nother town. Im hungry. Im using doordash.
It took almost two hours to get a sandwich and drink. When delivery guy comes, he starts walking away and I mention the drink being gone, to which he replied, "oh, sorry." Two hours for a soggy sandwich and wet fries (from condensation in the container) with no drinks, at $25+ dollars. I called customer support, they refunded my drink, but what about the two hour wait and wet food? "Ok, you can get a 20% discount on your next order." No thank you. Will NEVER use grubhub ever again. Should have read the reviews first.

Waited two hours for dinner for my family which was placed in the time the restaurant was open! To wait two hours to get told your order has been canceled and refunded. OK yeah thanks for the refund but now my kids are hungry and everything is closed! Waiting on this damn food that never came! It's extremely upsetting and more upsetting that there customer care "chat" person can give two $#*!s if your family goes hungry. Never using Grubhub AGAIN! Awful! And this is not the first time!
We ordered a takeout meal via GrubHub and arrived to pick it up at the time GrubHub stated it would be ready. When we arrived, though, the restaurant was closed. We later found out from the manager that the restaurant had been closed at the time we placed the order, that the restaurant never got the order, and that GrubHub never paid them any of the $43 it charged to our credit card. We have documentation for all this, but GrubHub has refused to refund our $43.
Ordered from Grub Hub website stated 40 minutes to deliver. An hour and a half later food arrived and it was completely the wrong order. Called driver said there was nothing they could do. Called customer service they stated ok we will give you a refund_ ok thanks for nothing- still have a hungry family and no food said they couldn't redeliver correct order.It's only 8 pm -so ridiculous!
Don't depend on the time frame they give you. It is always takes longer and then your food is not fresh. It should not take an hour and a half to get your food. My last and final order started at 45 min delivery. They tried to make it an hour and a half. I canceled it and give negative reviews
Used Grubhub for the first time today. WORST MISTAKE! DO NOT USE THEM. We ordered food and paid $28.01. The delivery driver shows up with the wrong order. No drinks. We asked her where our order is. Her response "that's what they gave me." Okay bright one, isn't it their job to check the damn order before leaving? So I requested a refund, and they are only refunding me $17.82 for the food. So they get to keep $10.19 for f**king up my order? The driver gets to keep her tip? Hellllll no. Big time scammers. I filed a complaint with The BBB. I will get all my money back. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. YOU WILL LITERALLY STARVE AND HAVE TO WAIT UP TO 5 DAYS TO GET A "PARTIAL REFUND". YOU GUYS ARE COMPLETELY HORRIBLE AND SHOULD BE OUT OF BUSINESS. OR HIRE PEOPLE WHO ARE COMPETENT ENOUGH TO GET AN ORDER RIGHT. THE FUNNY PART IS THAT THE DRIVER KNEW IT WAS WRONG AND DID NOT OFFER TO GO BACK TO GET THE CORRECT ORDER.
I ordered from only one time and I never received my food! So why would I sign up for a membership? But I just found out that they have been charging me 10.59 a month for a membership fee!? I am livid! Called to demand my money back!
I ordered a pizza at 5:15 and was sent an email that I would receive it at 5:55. Later that was changed to 6:10. When you have a problem, you are directed to call the restaurant. I did and they said they did not receive the order. You have to dig down in Grubhub to find a chat contact. Grubhub blamed the restaurant's system. Needless to say after waiting 2 1/2 hours, I cancelled the order. I will no longer recommend Grubhub.

Only offered 50% discount on next order. They took money did not deliver and I will never use this service. Worst ever experience!
It never fails. Something always goes wrong with Grubhub. Missing food, wrong food, noncontact from driver, late, I mean the problems are endless. Doordash is 100% almost all the time... will always be going with them for delivery from now on... and if it doordash doesn't carry it, I'll make time to go get my food... cause trying to get delivery from Grubhub will always disappoint.
Driver had no idea how to get to my house. I was on the phone with him trying to give him directions (he was right around the corner) he still couldn't get it. Finally I told him to put it in his GPS it is 2020 and he does drive for a living -DUH- He told me he had no idea where he was and I should be grateful and shouldn't be mad. He hung up on me and I never got my food. I got a full refund and a $3.00 coupon. I don't think the 3.00 is worth the trouble not when there are other services out there. I am deleting the App as I speak
Answer: I travel for a living and have experienced the lousy service that is Grub Hub. From Philadelphia PA to Shreveport LA and multiple other cities THIS SERVICE SUCKS. There's nothing good to say about it.
