Used it for local restraunts and started purchasing goods from there as well. One of my last purchase was the infrared ear thermometer. It was shipped out and somehow delivery on the website was marked "delivered", but the package never even arrived. I called the post office and all they know is that it supposedly is delivered and told me to call groupon. There is no number for customer service? Also emailed the "contact us" section twice and have not heard back even though they send you automatic email stating they will reply within 24hrs. I am disappointed in the lack of customer service, I feel like I am dealing with Comcast. I will stick to E-bay and Amazon where customer service is always on top of things.
I paid for three nights on groupon for the country inn and suites hotel in Savannah. When I showed up groupon sent a message to the hotel prior to me arrival that we paid for only two nights. Therefore I had to pay for an additional night on my cc. The hotel said that I have to call groupon. Groupon said there was nothing they could do and did not admit any wrong doing. Finally after a week of going back and forth and they gave me groupon bucks which I did not want because I just wanted to end our relationship with Groupon. I can afford to do business with a company that does not have the best interest of their customers in mind.
I would rather buy a used product from the flee market than buy another item with this shell game master. Talk about slide of hand: the add states priced reduced sale priced, only a few left. I purchased a comforter bed set that was nothing but junk. The quality was so poor, the misleading hype was 174.00 now marked down to 39.99, so I bought the item. When I received it, it was in a Chinese written box, my first red flag. I opened it up to find a bag of junk. The quality is so poor that this is not worth my time to box the junk back up. I will not buy another item through this service. They told me they check all their vendors out and they all pass the quality control to sell on groupon. That is a big LIE because this set is junk and cheap might be worth 5 bucks. They should rebrand themselves as junk on. Buy at your own risk, I will not buy again from this con game.
I have gotten sooooo many great deals on things to do( such as paintballing tickets which included gun and gear rental), clothing items, services(like an oil change and visit to the optometrist) for a way cheaper price. I look on it every day to see what new deals there are. I'm all about the deals. If your like me give this website a chance, you won't regret it!
I don't want to waste any more of my time on this fiasco with Groupon so I will be brief.
They confirmed our reservation and emailed us the docs with a contact number to Solamar in Cabo but it was a non working number. Finally got another number(from groupon) to call and was told by the hotel that they couldn't confirm availability.
All told three hours on hold numerous times when we were told there is no room at the inn. I was told that a manager would call me back but of course nothing.
Shame on Groupon! I'll never use them again.

Be aware of "Final Sale". I just paid over $100 for coupons for Architecture Tour of Chicago (boat ride) that turned out to be worthless, because I couldn't use them during Labor Day Weekend (which was the reason for purchasing) Then they refused to return my money because the sales were "final". What?! They cannot return my money I paid for an e-mail with bar codes I didn't use? Not to mention that it was just $7 off of original ticket price ($36 vs $43). I ended up buying another tour for $39 dollars directly from Wendella Tours & Cruises website. Total scam! Please do not use Groupon. Such dishonest company has to go out of business!
Groupon is a waste. Whatever I save thru groupon, they charge me half for the savings. Example: $100 item 80% off means I save $80 rite. No, I paid Groupon $40 to save $80. $40 to groupon + $20 for Item = $60 I saved 40% I can go just about anywhere online and get FREE 50% off coupons. Better yet I can goto any local school and buy and entertainment coupon book that is filled with $1,000's of savings in my area for $20. I know I bought one and most of the coupons are 50% off equivlents. People that think groupon is great just don't have a mathematical clue.
Groupon's website had issues loading, which caused me to accidentally order four tickets to Water Country USA when I only needed 2. Instead of refunding me for the two tickets since it was completely their fault for having a sucky website, Groupon insisted that the fine print for the deal said "all sales were final." I told them I was done using Groupon if they would not refund me since there was no way I was going to use a website that has such an unreasonable refund policy, but they remained stubbornly insistent that all sales were final. Forget them!
It's a decent place to find some good deals. It just seems like every time I look on Groupon, there are more and more sex toys, restraints, etc. Couldn't they at least have a separate section for those items so I'm not scrolling through vibrators and nipple suctions just to see a cute blouse on sale.
We recently had a great experience using a groupon coupon to have our house power washed by A-1 Power Washing. They were very professional, did a great job, and were very friendly. I would recommend anyone looking for power washing, or other house jobs, to call them.
Groupon shows pictures of a Chromebook running Windows 8 or 10. Chromebooks run on Google's Chrome operating system, which does not run Windows apps and is mostly web browser based. I've pointed this out to Groupon multiple times now, but they apparently won't fix it. So, I left a low rating on the product page, which they rejected. And now, their "Contact Us" page has no way to contact them.
In eventually spoke with a supervisor, who could only provide his word that I would receive the tickets when issued a few days later. He was convincing that he understood the issue and ensured that the email change has/would be made so I could receive my tickets.
Purchased concert tickets, email was off by one digit. Contacted them 4 times, each person was clueless and not helpful, just repeating contact the vendor to solve the issue. I ask who is that, they don't know. Finally they agreed to resend the Groupon email 3 different times (so I have some idea how to get into the concert), but never did. They won't refund or help, chat after chat. I honestly think they hire incompetent people, or give no training, probably both.
Purchased a kayak trip for KayakMarco 138.00. Couldn't use it company has to be emailed everything. I requested three dates of course they got back to me after the dates stating not available lol. Groupon could have cared less. Will never use them again. Nor will I ever book through KayakMarco tours
The customer service is horrible and rude. You only have customer support chat online. I purchased an iPhone it came all defective. They gave me a hard time about an exchange and made me jump through hoops. I sent the old one back with there label they issued me. They never sent a new one saying there was a discrepancy but charged me over $500. I've spoken to 8 different customer service reps and emailed the merchant support 3x. I'm out the money with no merchandise and they refuse to give a refund. Theyre still looking into it. I have the USPS tracking # that says it was returned but they said it's not scanned in so they can issue Groupon bucks. The behavior and lack of communication in this company is appalling. 10 weeks later still nothing. I attempt to contact them on a weekly basis.
Purchased item on 30/9/14 and still havent recieved it. Made a complaint and have just had numerous emails for the last few weeks saying they are still 'investigating' despite the item being up for sale again. Will never buy from them again. Paypal cannot reverse transactions to groupon even if you do not recieve them
I am so disappointed with the your customer service. I have used Groupon for years and only recently had a very negative experience. I paid $400 for a $800 photobooth to use at my wedding. When I contacted the vendor, he told me he was already booked that day and to ask Groupon for a refund. When I contacted Groupon, they told me it was in the fine print and they would not give me any refund. They suggested I gift the groupon to someone else. $400 is a lot of money, especially when planning a wedding. As a marketer I have recommended clients do Groupon promotions to gain awareness and build an audience. Since Groupon do not look out for the customer or the business involved, I will no longer recommend or use them.
First of all, I never do these types of reviews but this one is a need be situation! I redeemed a waterfall repelling Groupon back in March, booking it for August. Last minute (after we drove 3 1/2 hours to go up and actually do the rappelling) they canceled the trip. The company stated there would be no problem getting a refund through Groupon since they had to cancel and we unable to reschedule our booking with them. Since, I've contacted Groupon explaining the issue and they are stating there are NO refunds. I'm extremely disappointed in their customer service! Buyer beware!
Odered an item last dec 14th, 2013 and its already january 6th, 2014. Still no item received. Horrible! Worst shipping ever! Dont bother to buy any items on groupon. You find same item same price on amazon or ebay... with fast shipping and good customer service! If there is lower than 1 star that is my rating for Groupon!

There is no actual person for people to speak to, and they hide behind the screen and make you "chat" with them online... your company has fallen very low on the totem poll, and you are ruining guests experiences at hotels and getaway packages. I purchased get away vouchers for DC, assuming that I would get a sweet deal only to be deceived. When I inquired about the pricing, I was hung up on several times. On the cancellation policy it stated the time frame, in which I attempted to cancel 1 room, assuming again that I would get my money back for 1 hotel room. I was informed that a groupon rep would ensure that this would be taken care of and that the money would go back into my account. I later received an email stating that this would not be a possibility. Very disappointing, deceiving and manipulative service. Never again!
Answer: Yes, Groupon is legit. You need to read the fine print before ordering live event tickets- -they will not refund your money even if it's there fault. I only buy tickets for activities that don't expire or you can use the purchase price towards a non-Groupon service the vendor offers. Hope this helps.

They will lie, they literally told me customer service reps were out sick, thus no answer to my emails for about 2 weeks. So write a review on Site Jabber with all the details and a bet a manager will answer promptly. As this is their way, I NEVER ordered from the site again after at least 3 years of orders.
